Dream Lover

Rate this book
Charly applies for a position as a Farm Insurance Inspector, a position traditionally held by the male gender, and knows she has not chosen an easy path. This is confirmed when she comes up against a very antagonistic director of the company at her final interview. She issues a challenge to him - to supervise her for three days, at no salary, and if her work is satisfactory, to then hire her.
Fate takes them into a situation they couldn’t have anticipated and changes their relationship completely, but circumstances and personal beliefs keep them apart. They compensate by recording and exchanging their dreams, thus becoming close without being together physically, until fate intervenes once more.

I have been writing for about twenty-five years, while working firstly as a Registered Nurse and later as a Farm Insurance Underwriter. My first four novels were mainly for learning purposes and have long since been discarded – something I now regret. One of them was accepted for publication as an audio book, but the company went out of business before it could be processed. That gave me the encouragement I needed to keep on writing. I have since completed three romance novellas, a non-fiction book, and my parents’ autobiography. I look forward to writing additional books and creating their covers. Since retiring, or rather – re-wiring, I have taken up amateur photography and am combining it with writing limericks, to produce children’s photo album books about care for the environment, and respect for all life-forms.
I live in the beautiful Lanark Highlands of Eastern Ontario with my husband Don, and a very independent cat named Little Bud.

This book is a nice short read you can finish in about 2-4 hours. It was a bit all over the place. It begins with Charly being given a rough time by a director (McKinnon) when being interviewed for a job as a farm Insurance Inspector. She if forced to prove her worth in the man's profession. Then all of a sudden she psychic powers and is a dream reader. Then they fall in love and right when you think they'll finally make love there is an issue. Then they come together, then another issue. Together again, he runs. Finally the story ends abruptly with them FINALLY being together.

The story was confusing and I feel as if the author's idea was lost and so she tried to just add something to give the story girth. I feel that the story would have been fine is she omitted the psychic dream reader stuff. There wasn't much explanation on it and it was pretty confusing. She should have focused on the crazy love story.

I really don't understand why T.G. gave a hard time to Charlie in the first place apart from that I enjoyed it and it's a quick read
