I absolutely loved it!
"Unveiled Wounds" is the third book in the Iron Shield MC series, and it truly resonated with me because of everything Meredith goes through. After their mother passed away, Meredith was practically raised by her sister, Grace, and often felt like she was living in Grace’s shadow. Because of this, she was frequently judged and compared to her sister. While Grace had her own struggles, she received support, whereas Meredith often felt alone.
The physical trauma Meredith faced was overwhelming, but the emotional trauma was just as significant. The amazing Grizz was the only one in the clubhouse who truly stood by her. I loved that he was willing to choose her over the club; it really showcased the strength of their connection. By the end, as Meredith began to heal, she realized that Grizz wasn't going anywhere and was determined to stay by her side.
Meredith felt incredibly relatable to me, especially in how she pushed Grizz away during her healing process. She was at a low point, dealing with gossip and judgment from others, while the one person trying to help her was Grizz. Her attempts to test his loyalty by distancing herself felt very real. This book had me hooked from the start, as I followed Meredith’s emotional journey and rooted for her and Grizz to find their happily ever after. There was plenty of drama involving the sisters and the motorcycle club that kept me turning the pages, and I ended up reading it in one sitting! I just couldn’t get enough!
I’m so glad I decided to read the first two books in the series before diving into this one! Although you can read it as a standalone, it ties in beautifully with the first book, offering insights from both Meredith and Grizz. The world-building is fabulous, and the side characters are just as relatable and endearing as the main ones—you’ll want to know more about them!
I received a free copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review.
