Mutant Alley: Ares

Dark. Funny. Kinky.

“You’ve watched me do far worse things.”
“Unfortunately not.”

In a distant future, the government created superhuman soldiers by merging human and dinosaur DNA under the BioShield project to win a nearly lost war. Ares, a large anthropomorphic Tyrannosaurus rex, was once a soldier but is now useless to the government and scorned by society. To survive, he is forced to sell his body, like many other released dinosaur hybrids. But an unexpected encounter turns everything upside down.

What really happened to the BioShield project? Who are the mysterious group known as Hydra, and what are their true intentions? What secret do they need Ares, a virile and dominant male T. rex, for?

And how far are they willing to go? Determined to fight for a new future, Ares sets out to find new and former allies. He embarks on the most dangerous mission of his life—a mission that could ultimately require more of him than he ever imagined.

Mutant Alley is a dystopian sci-fi comedy guaranteed to make you blush.

After the war is won, the dinosaur-human hybrids scientists created to fight it must find a new purpose. Selling their bodies seems to work. Turns out the scientists who created these beefy, virile dinos are secretly turned on by them. Seems lots of people in society wanna bang these nonhuman supersoldiers, because of course they do! Muscular dinosaurs are hot!

A few conversations which happen off camera should have happened on camera, as they would have characterized the protagonists a little better. Despite that, it’s an amusing, kinky romp as scientists devise a way to right the wrongs of the past and give the dinosaur hybrids equal status in society. They need lots of genetic samples to right those wrongs, and of course there’s only one way to get a genetic sample from a hung, muscular T-rex.

I welcome our scalie overlords. May they treat us wimpy mammals with compassion.

Surprisingly, quite enjoyed this. Even though it's mainly a smutty book, it did have some interesting world building between sex scenes - hybrid dinosaurs created for war, abandoned by the government and population afterwards and forced to turn tricks in dirty alleyways to survive - but it did veer from "believable" (such as such can be) to wildly fantastical in the latter half of the book as things accelerated and the plot became about literally overthrowing the government. Still, it was an entertaining read and the smut scenes were fun.

Much needed hybrid fun!

I enjoyed delving into this anthro piece with a mix of sci fi, sexy times, and good humor. Looking forward to more dinosaur hybrid adventures in the mutant alley world!
