Umm...this was weird and confusing.
He buys Kira to train her in magic so he can ascend godhood. What exactly are they training to do?... How is she supposed to help him? I'm not sure bc nothing happens...
He said he had a dark purpose and couldn't let Kira get in the way of it.. well, what was his dark purpose? I have no clue. They get married the next day.
Then, she's a badass magic lady and wants to go off to magic school to train some more. FOR WHAT? To keep the creepy forest ppl out? Idk. This made zero sense to me. I've liked a few books from this author. This was not one of them.
The cover got me 🤷‍♀️

3.75 ⭐️ This book was so captivating from the first chapter and I just couldn’t put it down. It had this pull from the very first page, even the cover drew my attention to it.
I will say there’s a bit of a confusing jump between chapters in the story. I felt like there was a fair bit of missing information that was needed to truly give more depth to not just the story but the relationship between the characters. It all moved just a little too quickly.
Overall, it is a wonderful book and a good short read. Would be a good read if you’re in a reading slump and need something to spark that desire to read again.
The author did a wonderful job with this book. I recommend it despite the mild confusion in parts.

I would have rated it higher if not for the fact it is so short and missing some aspects thay would make it amazing.

I enjoyed this story about how Kira was lured to a shop and transported to a magical realm. She is purchased by Malachar and inducted into his world. This is fantastical, fun and steamy. 4 stars.

i have no idea what was happening, who was doing what in this story. everything is a jumble of events and situations happening and i cannot tell you anything because i understood nothing.

Como amante del Monster Romance y la Fantasía Oscura tengo mucho que decir🧐 pero primero aclarar que los capítulos son super cortos y el ritmo de la historia es veloz, en 2 horas como máximo se lee.

¿Saben lo difícil que es encontrar historias sobre Liches? Bueno, cuando vi la portada y leí la sinopsis pensé que había encontrado oro... Pensé es la palabra clave. Y de "Dark Demon Romance" no tiene nada😒

＊ En este libro literalmente te puedes imaginar al "Lich" como cualquier otra criatura mágica. Es casi inexistente el nivel de detalles, y no solo de los personajes, también los detalles de la historia en general. Por ejemplo: Todavía no se cuáles eran los fulanos "grandes planes" que estaba preparando Malachar para Kira (lo mencionó al comienzo de la historia), el libro terminó y nunca lo dijeron.
¿Cuáles eran los dones o poderes de Kira?.
Otro asunto es el familiar de Kira, muy bonito, pelaje cobrizo, peludo y ojos dorados con motas de colores. Pero ¿Qué animal era? Andaba en su hombro para arriba y para abajo y no se que carajos era.

＊ Hay lagunas de información en el desarrollo de la historia. Cada vez aparecían, de la nada, más criaturas o mencionaban "tal cosa" y yo quedaba ¿¿🤡??.
¿Se supone que soy adivina?.

＊ "El romance". Puffff, la relación entre estos dos fue super X, los gatos callejeros de mi cuadra tienen más vida amorosa que ellos😂. Kira comenzó como esclava y pupila involuntaria y terminó como su esposa y el amor de su eterna y oscura vida. ¿En que momento?🙂

＊ Malachar y Kira (pero sobre todo Malachar) tuvieron un implante de personalidad nueva de un capitulo a otro🙂

One thing to have in your head when reading this is that it's a short, read in an hour, book so it's very fast paced plot wise which is at slight detriment to the depth of the characters and lore but not enough to takeaway from enjoying it.
Saying that though I think the author did well in conveying the transition of Kira and Malachars relationship from stranger to lovers however it did feel a little rushed, as if we missed out on things, between some chapters. Also minor thing but I wasn't sure why she was waking up at the start of nearly every one of her POV chapters.
I really like the description provided of the world, it was easy to create a visual image as we went along with the characters. It felt a little excessive sometimes when it came to simple things like waking up, I wasn't sure what needed too much description.
Great for a quick, fun read on the darker side with some spicy scenes

Not for me. The story and characters were extremely shallow and way underdeveloped. I felt like there were huge gaps in the story and relationship progression. The story was also on the boring side. I also felt like the author's frequent use of overly complex words/adjectives was unnecessary and very distracting. It's like they used a thesaurus and randomly picked a synonym that looked smart and complicated. It felt forced. The complex words just didn't fit with the rest of the writing, which was honestly decent for this genre. Just couldn't make myself finish it, especially when all I could think about was when this book would be done so I could move on to another more enjoyable book. I really wanted to like this book. I may try another book from this author to see if this was just an outlier.

This was a bit of a let down. The story was short and I felt like it was an outline that was missing stuff. Kira is lured to a shop and then is in a magical world where Malachar is there to get her and keep her. He wants her for his own personal purposes and he won’t let her go. She is to trail in magic to become stronger. She accepts this and want’s to train to become stronger.

Dziewczyna porwana do świata mrocznej magii i elfów. Zostaje wybranką nekromanty i uczy się magii pod jego okiem. Bardzo pofragmentowana historia z przeskokami czasowymi. Gdyby była ciut dłuższa, zdecydowanie wypadłaby lepiej.

Me gustó la linda pareja que formaron y el amor que sienten el uno por el otro 🤍.

Aunque siendo totalmente sincera no lo volvería a leer y me faltó información y un buen desarrollo de ciertas situaciones que suceden a lo largo de la trama 😅.

I didn't know what to expect going into this book from Booksprout and the blurb, I sort of wished there was more about their interactions and lessons with the apprentice work leading up to their wedding but it was still quite interesting with the twists and it was fast-paced.
