Magic mirror on the wall, who's the smartest of them all?

Queen Marlena needs her stepdaughter gone if she intends to rule the Meadows Kingdom without anyone else influencing the King’s mind. Therefore, she convinces her husband that it’s time for Princess Snow to get married.

A ball is arranged, and Snow is forced to choose a husband among the human, fae, vampire, and werewolf princes. The future looks grim for the princess.

The vampire prince of the White Cloud Kingdom has no wish of marrying a human princess for political leverage. Arriving late at the ball, Dorian encounters a fascinating young lady who seems to be in distress. When their eyes meet, their fate is sealed.

The last thing Queen Marlena wants is for her stepdaughter to find happiness and immortality with a handsome vampire prince. If she can’t make Snow’s life miserable, she’d rather have her dead.

Will Snow be strong enough to fight the black magic and save her father and her kingdom from the evil queen?

A magical mirror that can destroy the world. An evil queen with plans for world domination.

Anna Santos is a USA Today Bestselling Author who likes to write about shifters, vampires, angels, mermaids, fae, and occasionally humans.

Anna always keeps her readers on their toes with adrenaline-fuelled adventures, genuine characters, strong female leads, and romantic plots.

When she’s not writing, she’s probably reading or spending too watching TV shows. As an introvert, home is her safe harbor. Yet, she’s known for leaving the house from time to time and having her family throw a party because they haven’t seen her for days. Then they ask her how many books she wrote while gone, assuming that writing must be super easy.

Anna guarantees that it’s not, but she never wanted to be anything else. Unless there’s a possibility of being a powerful supernatural being in an awesome world where unicorns and fairies are real. Then, she would probably go there and never come back.

Another unique twist to a classic fairytale! This paranormal viewpoint of Snow White was a perfect way to ring in Halloween 🎃

There were some instances where I thought Snow acted or made a statement that was a little too kid like. But I understand that she is suppose to be coming from a very sheltered upbringing so I was able to quickly shake those scenes off.

While I was reading the book, I kept expecting a dwarf sighting... but it never happened. None the less, I still enjoyed the book and am looking forward to reading Cindy's story after meeting her in the first book.

3.5✨

A shockingly creative retelling of Snow White. Honestly if this was 500+ pages with a more eloquent prose I would devour it whole. Pacing is insanely fast and takes insta-love into its own dimension.

Snow was a big inconsistent. She understood miscarriages, but had to have the sex talk. Time to time she comes off as pre-teen compared to her actual age of eighteen. Yes, she is highly sheltered. I think she would have learned some things on her own.

Here is the thing though, it has so many layers! Evil step-queen is revealed to be fair more delusional and powerful than meets the eye. Throwing assassination attempts at the princess. We have werewolves, shape-shifters and fairies all helping Snow and the Kingdom. I really loved the Fated mirrors concept and was a nice way to put a twist on the magic mirror. There is drama, suspense, not the best romance but it’s there and on the sweeter side.

The more I read, the more I was enveloped in the drama unfolding. If you can get past the straight forward choppy prose, it's a highly entertaining story. The set up for book three was done exceptionally well and now im contemplating if I should see to it soon.

I LOVE a good fairy tale retelling. This one is a Snow White Retelling, but it's not like any retelling you have read before. This is the 2nd in the Fairy Tales with a Bite series, but the cool thing unlike some other 'retelling series', these ones are interlocked. I haven't read book 1, but you sure bet I am going to read it as soon as I can!!!!

You know the story, Snow's mom is dead, she has an evil stepmother that wants to kill her, but there are some things you don't know. Her dad is still alive, and Snow will be courted by supernatural beings. We have magic, vampires, werewolves, fae, and BELLE!!! What book isn't great when BELLE is in it?!?!!?

Come along to Snow's kingdom and find out what makes hers so amazing and see if she can find love, all before her stepmother tries to off her, and some more exciting events await you!

I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.

This book really ramped up the drama and suspense. The last quarter of the book tokes this adventure to a whole new unexpected level.

We got to see old characters return. New characters to fall in love with, and experience a whole new level to the world Santos has created.

Beware, the end of this book will leave you wanting more.

Well, this was disappointing. I got this book for free on Amazon and hoped it would be enough of a standalone to read it without starting by the first book. You're kind of missing out if you do, but I can't say I'm going to read the first book or any other books in the series after this. I thought the synopsis was pretty intriguing (Snow White + Vampires is honestly a great combo, let's be real), but the prose was poor and reminded me a little too much of how I would write at 14, the characters were flat, the dialogue was juvenile, and the overall pacing and blocking of the scenes just made me confused more than anything else. Granted, I skimmed through the book because I knew it was on the shorter side and I wanted to be done with it, but heh. It's a shame, because I think there's really a good story in there somewhere, but it didn't really deliver.

Snow’s mother was unable to conceive so she went to the forest to beg the fae for help. Shortly she conceived but died in childbirth. As Snow grew up, her father remarried. His wife was more interested in her looks and power than she was in Snow or her husband. When Snow turned 18, it was decided she should meet the eligible princes that she could marry from the surrounding kingdoms of werewolves, humans, vampires and fae. There she met her soul mate and things really became complicated.

This is the second book in the retelling of fairy tales. The first was a retelling of Beauty and the Beast. Though not absolutely necessary, it does help to read them in order. The world building is done really well. You can almost feel you are there. The character development is also done well as the chapters switch from different character’s point of view. The magic and abilities of the various races are consent and logical. I’m looking forward to the next book.

Queen Marlena wants to be powerful and the most beautiful woman in the world - but her stepdaughter Snow is slowly catching up, and moreover, the young girl is kind-hearted and sweet. Creating a scheme to marry her off to someone and for Snow to lead an unhappy life, attempting t get rid of her by many means, the queen is ruthless - yet Snow has unexpectedly a fierce protector. And they all want to take the power away from Marlena, however, the bigger danger might be elsewhere..
A Snow White retelling in supernatural form, with a sweet and caring princess, a vampire prince who is always fashionably late, and witchy stepmother who always follows her own agenda. I enjoy the world building and the fast pace of the story, as well as the magical and supernatural elements and the spin off the classic fairytale.

I absolutely adore this series! I have always loved fairy tales, myths and legends and the way that this author retells these storfogs it shows a new spin on them but still keeps them true to the ones I remember from my childhood. I love this authors writing style and she is super talented!

I loved all the characters, the good and the bad. I also loved how it included the characters from the previous book. I loved Show's character, especially reading about how she grows and gains strength in who she is. The storyline was amazing and kept me hooked and guessing the whole way through and I really want to know what is going to happen next!

I adored this am its well worth a 5* rating! I highly recommend this

This book two in the Fairy Tales with a Bite series. This book has a strong, well-developed and an interesting story line with twists and unexpected turns keep you reading and turning the pages. It pulled me in from beginning to end and held my attention. Amazing world building that is detailed and imaginable. I felt like I was right there watching, feeling, and experiencing the book...not just reading it. The atmosphere created and characters were so realistic. Strong, interesting, and fascinating characters that are well developed and diverse. This is a fast-paced intriguing read! I received a free copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review.

❤️🤗A BIG CRUSH

Queen Marlena was internally cursing at her daughter-in-law, Princess Snow of the Meadows Kingdom.

Ah if only she could get rid of her...

---------------------------------------------

A big crush again for the sequel to this magnificent Fantasy romance series!

I loved everything: the atmosphere of the novel, the suspense, the characters and the unexpected.

I loved the first meeting between Dorian and Snow: magnificent!

I can't wait to read the next novel in the series!

Congratulations to the author!
I highly recommend ❤️

I'm torn on whether this is a retelling or inspired, I can see both - since the first in the series is more inspired by Beauty and the Beast and not a retelling, but this is leaning more toward the retelling.

Not that it truly matters. I did like the way this was done. I also like how the overall plot started in the first book and has continued to weave its way through. I'm not a fan of where it appears Luke and Marlena may be headed, and I truly hope that is not happening.

Otherwise, I will definitely be picking up the next in the series.

This was a retelling of the original Snow White story. Initially, it didn't seem to stray too far away from the original, but there were obviously more adult themes. There were some spicy moments too, but not so much that it distracted from the rest of the story

Thank you to Booksprout and the author for a free to review.

I do think you need to read these in order. I did not enjoy the first in the series, however, I liked this one a bit more. This followed a little more closely to the original story but still was unique (obviously, since it has Vampires). As I stated in the review of the first - this author has unique stories that are enjoyable.

Snow White is retelling that I am here for 100%
This story seems to have it all from Vampires, Humans, and werewolves, and the magic aspect and abilities consistent and is easy to follow.
This is the second retelling story of Anna Santos. The world-building Santos does with these is breathtaking and thought out. The characters are written beautifully and I loved how the chapters alternate between different POVs.

has a lot of charm, especially for readers who love Disney-inspired retellings. I enjoyed the story itself and found the familiar fairy-tale elements engaging and easy to get lost in. While the writing style wasn’t really my personal preference and at times felt a bit simple, it’s probably something lots of other readers wouldn’t mind. The heart of the story is strong, and the concept has clear potential. Overall, it’s a good retelling that fans of princess reimaginings may appreciate.

Red as Blood y by Anna Santos is the second book in the Fairy Tales with a Bite Series and a Snow White Fairy Tale Retelling. As fan of Anna's I look forward to all of her projects and this is no exception. The use of the supernatural in this series is awesome. This book is full of drama, magic, and intrigue. Can't wait to read more in this series.

You won’t be disappointed with this fun and addicting retake on a classic. The story of Snow is fresh and unique but still familiar and much more exciting than the original. You still have your evil stepmother, the classic mirror on the wall and the enduring quest for power and jealousy. Can the prince and princess stay alive long enough to get and enough their HEA? Read and find out.

I liked this story. What I enjoyed most was the dynamic between Dorian and Snow. I do wish we could have seen more of their relationship development but it was still good. I liked how they brought back Drake and Belle because I really liked their story and wanted to see more of them. Overall it was a good story.

I thought this was more in the YA genre. Saying that it's usually not my go to. But there is an epic story very well worth the read.
We have queens and princesses. Wolf's, vampire's and Faes last not least witches and kings.
A story with low heat, but sweet and a rolling story with action and mystery.
Loved it can't wait to read the next story. Well done. ENJOY.

After reading the first novel I was really excited to see how other fairy tales would be tied in and this didn’t disappoint. Overall I really enjoyed the story along with the various twists. I will warn it ends on a cliffhanger though.

First there was beauty and the beast and now we have snow whites fairytale retelling and it is good! There’s still an evil stepmom but also werewolves, vampires, fae and humans and a story that draws you in as the author intertwines the magic and twists and turns that will have your jaw dropping. It’s a wonderful, exciting and thrilling read and I thoroughly enjoyed it all.

Great retelling

It was a great retelling of Snow White with a twist. Snow actually finds love wth a vampire prince Dorian. Her stepmother the evil queen still tried to murder her but with the help of her new friends the werewolves. With her new husband Dorian they work together to stop the evil queen.

Wonderful!

This is quite the twist on a classic Fairy tale. Although it can be read as a stand alone, the are characters from book one who appear in this retelling. If you're looking for an interesting alternative, be sure to put this book on your must read list.

Snow, Dorian, Marlene

Snow is celebrating her 18th birthday with a feast and ball a few days later. The ball is for her to meet suitors. Her stepmother Marlene is an evil witch who is controlling her father the king.

Characterization and plotting are good.
