A demon in the shadows... Daemon Alexander is host to a dark trinity that must hunt and feed.
A dead body in the woods... Jen Cassaday might have just hired the killer, oh-so-seductive handyman, Daemon.
As Jen draws closer to a man she cannot resist, her deepest desires war with his dark secrets.
NOTE: Trinity Blue is a short novella that first appeared in print in The Mammoth Book of Paranormal Romance. The story has been revised and expanded for its digital release. It is a stand-alone story that is loosely related to the books set in the Compact of Sorcerers world.

I've never read anything quite like this little gem. Full of mystery and mystique. So much story for a novella. Received it from subscribing to the author's newsletter. I am definitely looking forward to reading more from her.
3.5 This was pretty good. I have enjoyed all the books that I have read by this author. But I really really wished this this was longer. Had more background more of an ending. I just kinda ended. Otherwise great little story.
Trinity Blue is an outstanding short story. Usually a short story has to sacrifice something: plot density or character depth or world building. This does not.
The plot is tight and kept you turning the pages [even when it was WAY past time to sleep!]. The characters were engaging, people you'd really like to know. The chemistry between the hero and heroine sizzled.
Jen Cassaday is a lonely woman waiting for her life to begin. As a magical 'late-bloomer' she feels isolated from her family and as a sorcerer-to-be she feels isolated from humanity knowing she can never love someone who she will outlive. Enter Daemon Alexander, enigmatic handyman and drool-worthy hunk with a dangerous edge. If only he wasn't human...
Daemon has taken the job to help Jen restore her home while he attempts to find the evil danger he senses nearby. He tracked a demon to the area and then lost it - when the dismembered body of a woman is found in the nearby woods he knows it's still around. Despite his best efforts he finds himself falling for Jen. If only she wasn't human... The climactic confrontation between the demon, Jen, and Daemon reveals their hidden truths - he's not human [a truly interesting variation on the paranormal 'norm'], she's not human now that her sorcery has kicked in, and they both did a great job of kicking the demon back to hell.
Great paranormal action read with a very satisfying ending. The world Ms. Silver has created for the reader is fascinating-it is loosely related to the Compact of Sorcerers series.
Note: A version of Trinity Blue was published in The Mammoth Book of Paranormal Romance. The author states she has 'revised and expanded that story' and it is now a stand alone e-read. It is soon available at multiple sites including Amazon and Smashwords.
An immortal demon hunter on the trail of a monsterous killer, finds himself drawn to an appealing mortal who has her own secrets.
I read Trinity Blue way back when it was part of the Mammoth Book of Paranormal Romance. The one thing that stood out about the story even after all this time was its very appealing hero, Daemon, who is a compelling mix of dangerous and vulnerable as he fears his love will again be rejected, when his dark secret is discovered. So when I saw the eshort rereleased in an expanded form, I just couldn't resist doing a reread. I am happy to say that I liked Trinity Blue even better the second time around. Being memory challenged, I am not sure what was added but the story felt a bit more complete in this new form.
The product info story claims that Trinity Blue is loosely connected to Silver's now defunct (boo hoo) Compact of Sorceror's series, but it works just fine on its own.
Interesting but super short. I like this author and tried this one to see if this series was worth it. Then tried Demon's Kiss but didn´t like at all. But this one was fun.
Do like this author and she spins a good paranormal tale. Interesting theme and my only criticism is that it was just too short and finished abruptly. Would have liked a bit more to the ending.
I read the version in mammoth book of paranormal romance and it was good but definitely needed to be fleshed out a little so maybe the updated version does that.
Example - she repeatedly says no mortal man can be her future. Why? Is she immortal? Not really clear.
Read this novella first in June of 2011 and reread it today because I needed something quick and easy to enjoy this weekend while watching my husband outside working in his garden plot he tilled up. I think that not only is this a good second chance paranormal romance but it has thrills and chills and some surprises as well that are thoroughly entertaining as the story progresses. I have read full length novels by the author in her Otherkin series and am looking forward to reading more of her books in the future as her characters are compelling and interesting and their stories are well thought out and easily followed.
This is a short story, quite short. But it was a good read. An interesting world, that I wouldn't mind reading a longer book about. I think I would have preferred this to be a longer tale, as while it was readable and enjoyable, I wanted more development.
Short story set in the ‘Compact of Sorcerer’s’ world. Small town. Two people. A woman living alone hires a stranger as a handyman. He’s an immortal with special powers, while she is undergoing a delayed life change. I like the dragons.
I read this story in the The Mammoth Book of Paranormal Romance. This story is one of 24 short stories within that book. This was interesting, rushed, and or needed more to it's story.
