We are the Femme Fatale Freakshow.

The things that go bump in the night. The monster of your nightmares. The blade in the shadows. The bitter end you never saw coming.

And we are sex personified.

____________________________________________________________Taking It OffWhat's that old saying? Oh, yeah. It ain't easy being me. It's cliché, but it's true.

It's one thing for my friends to find out that their mild-mannered gal pal is a camgirl.

I can't let them learn my secret. They can't know about my late night dealings or the job that's made me wealthy enough to buy the whole city if I want.

No one can know that I'm a hit man, or woman, whatever.

It's a lonely life, but what can I do? I take things one job at a time, until a mysterious invitation turns my life upside down.

Until recently, I've been the queen of balance and have kept my two lives separate.

Now I'm falling for my best friends, but my secret threatens to tear us apart. If they ever learn that I caused their tragedy, I'll lose them forever.

It could have been such a good book.... Unfortunately, it wasn't what I was hoping for. It had so much potential. I loved the thought of a cam girl/assassin but the author just kinda dropped the ball. The main characters weren't even described which made it hard to read for me because I like when I can picture them but I just couldn't. I pushed through though cuz I just loved the concept. But it just felt flat and rushed. It could have been a top-tier read with the concept and the uniqueness, but it wasn't giving that. By 65% in I was just forcing myself to finish it. Anyways, I'd rate it a 2 star.

What an interesting read. The mix of characters was definitely something I never would have thought to put together. I have also never read a book with this type of shifter which was definitely intriguing. I truly enjoyed all the details of this story.

Let’s start by saying I’d love to be part of the Femme Fatale Freakshow! Strong, peculiar women getting rid of the scumbags of the world? That’s poetical perfection right there!

M.P. Starkweather has done it again. With a surprisingly vivid imagination, she creates stories that go well beyond urban fantasy. This time, the FMC, Emily, is a very peculiar shifter, and her abilities make her one of the best in the business. She’s got a full-access pass to the most exclusive, peculiar Guild of all, and she wears it like a boss.

Emily’s job isn’t just a career; it’s a calling that leads her to casually meet her mates. But don’t get it twisted—this is no fairy tale. Starkweather tests her characters with all kinds of pain, struggles, and hard decisions. Emily, Jeremy, Will, and Luke are no exception. Their journey is wrapped up in humorous banter and a nice dose of spice that makes the book even more fun to read.

In "Taking it Off," Starkweather blends humor, action, and romance into a delicious cocktail that’s impossible to put down. The characters are vibrant, the plot is twisty, and the sass is off the charts. If you haven’t picked this one up yet, what are you waiting for? Dive into the world of the Femme Fatale Freakshow and enjoy the ride. You won’t be disappointed!

I absolutely loved, loved, loved this book by MP Starkweather. This book doesnt build us up for the action but leads us straight into it and shows us the brilliance that is Emily. This woman is a force to be reckoned with but what we learn as the story progressives is she has a vulnerability to her as well, she wants what is best for those that she holds close.

Then add in the three hot men form the floor above, three men who are best friends, shifters and just want to please our Emily. They have opened their hearts to her but are waiting for her to let them in.

I love how although this relationship has been longstanding we see the growth throughout this book with the four of them together.

This book is a gradual progression of Emily becoming part of the Femme Fatale and her growth for her relationship with the three men that are her everything.

Loved our shifter element in this book too, everything fitted. Great book my MP Starkweather, great characters and has the steam.

Taking It Off is written by M.P. Starkweather and is part of the Femme Fatale Freakshow which is a series written by different authors within the same world.

💜 strong FMC
💜 shifters
💜 mysteries
💜 why choose
💜 🌶🌶🌶🌶 spice

Emily knows who she is. She’s an assassin and a cam girl. She likes both of her jobs. And it helps that one helps her do the other. She also is dating three roommates. So life is pretty good right now. But what happens when she gets an invitation to an elite guild? Can she do it? Can she continue doing this and see the guys? Will they even understand what she does?

This was a fun addition to this series. I like the fact that there are different shifters within this storyline. Emily is a strong main female character and isn’t afraid to do what she does. She also has a caring spirit which is nice to see a softer side of her in this story. I like this series so far and can’t wait to see what other stories will come out in this world.

Emily has always had one goal, removing the sick and twisted people who are involved in heinous acts. But after joining the Guild, things take an interesting turn. Her "just friends" have wormed their way deep in her heart, and if she isn't careful with keeping her job a secret, she might just break theirs.

M.P. Starkweather writes an utterly phenomenal book. Loved her story in the Femme Fatale Freakshow. Emily is such an amazing main character and her powers are just as cool. The 3 leading men in her life are sweet and kind and wonderful. Loved how their friendship was already established but we get to see how it grows into more. The themes in this book can be a little dark, but was empowering seeing Emily do what she does best in the book. Love Love Love this story and the shared world it is a part of.

This is another interesting installment in the Femme Fatale Freakshow series. I love the characters and seeing how they deal not only with where they are currently in the world, but also their roles as assassins. It doesn't seem like something you would naturally fall into being good at, but each of the women in this series seem to do so pretty effortlessly. Emily in this book is no exception. She's a beauty and works with her assets as a cam-girl. She finds herself basically in a relationship with the three men who live upstairs and really isn't quite sure, but they are determined.

I loved all of the characters in this book and only wish it could have been longer. I really liked the development of the characters and the way that they supported each other. Even though Emily is wary of the guild, she's still able to get into it.

What a tale that M.P. Starkweather has penned for us to enjoy! When I first saw the cover, it immediately reminded me of the Mario Bros game from Nintendo and made me wonder why that cover. Well, I got my answer as I read Taking It Off. I was completely surprised by the answer and it was completely unexpected. I enjoyed this tale that starts off seeming like it’s going to be a contemporary tale, but it isn’t. It’s a well done paranormal read that I’m glad to have read. Emily has her secrets and hopes the guys don’t figure them out. It’s quite funny to me how they’re able to figure out the cam girl. Emily had no idea how they discovered it and I chuckled during this scene. I love M.P.’s imagination with each book that she writes. Have fun figuring out the awesome meaning behind the fabulous cover!

Digital Cam Girl shifter

This is an interesting concept having Emily as a digital shifter. She's able to hunt her prey or get information on her target while posing as a cam girl. Once she finds what she's looking for, she strikes.
It's enough to catch the eye of the Femme Fatale Freakshow, and they send her the mysterious invitation. Now she must make the decision if she wants to work for them.
Meanwhile, she has a serious crush on her upstairs neighbors, Jeremy, Will, and Luke. She thinks she'll have to make a choice between them.
Will her job come between them, or will it help them bond even closer? You'll have to read it to see how the story turns out.

Taking it Off by M.P Starkweather is a paranormal romance novel in the Femme Fatale Freakshow series. Another great addition to this series. I love how the strength and capabilities of the females are the main focus. This novel is no different.
Emily is a force of independence and strength. When she is invited to the FFF it is honestly no surprise. I adore her best friends and that they do not hold her back but support her. This has action, love, spice and fun all jammed into the pages.
Another great book! I can not wait read more.

The Femme Fatale shared world is one of the best group of books I have read in a long time, and Taking It Off by M.P. Starkweather is no exception. My words cannot do this book justice. M.P. Starkweather has such a vivid imagination, and her characters are so life like. Emily is the perfect and unique kind of shifter for today's day and age. I can honestly say I have never read any book like this in the past. It is, as far as I'm concerned, truly one of a kind.
I highly recommend Taking It Off to anyone who wants something different in their RH romance.

Emily, Will, Luke, and Jeremy are already in a RH relationship, she just doesn't know it. Cam girl, assassin, Femme Fatale. She is just amazing. Could you assassinate your boyfriends dads and their friends, would you be able to keep it from them? Maybe if you had gone through what Emily had.
Great characters, lots of steam.

Ok I absolutely loved this book. The action is immediately and I am here for it. Emily is a strong leading lady and a hurricane for sure. I love that she fights but also shows her in vulnerable moments and in that she shows it's because she cares for people and wants to keep them safe. Great story!

I loved this story. Emily is scared to form a permanent relationship with Will, Luke, and Jeremy as she has secrets. She is a Cam girl and assassin. She does not want them getting in trouble because of her. Things take a turn when she joins a guild and their father's becomes her targets.

I loved the originality of this. Pixelating is so cool. I never thought about it as a power but I think it’s so cool. I loved the mix of vampire, wolf, and shifter. The tentacle part was really an awesome add especially where it was added. This is a perfect mix of everything PNR/Monster.

Pixelated Freakshow 🎪

I really loved it! It was very different with the fmc being a digital shifter! Definitely made me nerd out. Being computer science major, that’s totally how I’d love to take care of some people 😂🫣

This freak show has been FREAKY!
