This was such a fun humorous adventure story, with a long quest and many fights with bad guys. While they band together to help each other on their quest, Talon and Kaine get more than friendly. At odds with each other, Kaine and Talon went from trying to kill each other to getting really intimate. The huge Demon Talon ad abut of a shame kink and I was totally there for Kaine’s mastery of him. I really enjoyed this epic but extremely spicy tale.

This was a great fantasy read, I really enjoyed reading it.

I am not normally one for fantasy but this book was so good! The romance had just enough build-up to be realistic but wasn’t too slow to keep me interested. The spice was on fire, especially in some of the later chapters. They were just chefs kiss. As for the plot, it was a typical fantasy with three unlikely heroes meeting after being chosen to go on a quest. However, it did not feel cliche or overdone in the slightest.
I loved watching the relationship between all the characters grow. Not only did their relationships with one another blossom throughout the book, but their own wants evolved as well. The author did a great job adding back story and drama without making it too sad or stressful.
The plot reminded me of a D&D campaign. It seemed so silly and typical but had enough surprises thrown in that I was enthralled the entire time. The whole book felt like a D&D campaign combined with Interspecies Reviewers. I enjoyed it immensely. I’d say it’s a slice-of-life fantasy, with no glossaries containing hard-to-pronounce Gods or places. Just a fun adventure with tons of spice!
Speaking of spice, it was amazing. Sometimes authors go a little light when writing their first spicy book, but Katy threw in a perfect amount. I wasn’t bored or overwhelmed and I felt like I got enough. I never felt the need to skip over the spice to get to the plot, and I was never too bored with the plot by itself.
I really loved this book a ton, even if the genre is not my typical read. I look forward to seeing what Katy writes next and I hope we can see more of these characters in the future.

Talon is struggling to find meaning to his life after resigning from his guild after years of being shunned for his demonic nature. A deity appoints him as their champion in a divine quest where there can only be one winner. Along his journey, Talon meets Nidori, who has been tricked into servitude by another hellspawn, Kaine. Talon decides to stick around to help Nidori but ends up getting caught up in Kaine's allure. The three are all champions of different deities, and despite their individual reasons for wanting to win, they join forces on the quest. As they get closer to the prize, things take a turn for the worst. It's a battle between their deity-chosen reasons to survive and the happiness they've found in each other.
This was like reading one of hubby's video games. I could picture the action scenes and the characters like it was playing across a screen. Talon was just trying to find his place in the world, and it ended up being between Nidori and Kaine. Nidori was tired of living to serve the whims of others, but her guilt nearly sent her home. She needed the guys to help her stay strong. Kaine was our tormented soul, a demon bound to the mortal plane to serve the wills of others. He just needed a fresh start and a second chance, which Nidori's innocence and Talon's submission awarded him. Our trio was unique, and they worked with everyone's strengths to reach their common goal. I loved their dynamic, especially when Talon went all Paladin-mode on the enemies, Kaine's soft side came out to play, and Nidori got to make her own choices. The spice was delicious, and Talon's packing some fancy goods... just saying.

I am blown away by this debut. World-building and character development were both top-notch
Talon is an immediately compelling character. A good boy who needs to be appreciated by someone who looks beyond his intimidating appearance to the sweet soul beneath. Kaine is a recently released slave, full of darkness but learning to let in the light. He is a twinkish, verse Dom who knows just how to take Talon in hand.
And Nidori. I didn't expect to like her as much as I did but just like Kaine, I was wrapped around her tiny finger in short order. She has a strong backbone despite her innocence. Pure hearted and adorable. Her and Kaine ganging up on Talon is hilarious!
The plot was also just as good as the characters. All three are on quests from separate gods to find a powerful relic and they join together to ease their journey. Distrust slowly morphs into allyship then unexpected love
It's MM for most of the book the MMF does develop into a satisfying relationship. There is no play while she is in her pixie form which I was curious about when I started the book. I won't say how or when, but she does get a human-size body for the erotic elements. Though it probably would have been cool to read such an extreme size dif scene, in the context of this book, world-building, and characters, it 100% made sense to me for that not to happen.
I can't wait for more books by this burgeoning author and to see if this world and/or the characters will be developed into a series. Highly recommend

Talon, Kaine and Nidori are each chosen by a different God to fulfill a mission each mission will bring with it as a reward either a wish granted or a curse broken.
When I started reading it I did so without having high expectations being the author's first book well once I finished the story I was literally speechless because it was something truly superlative.
The story is an MMF where precisely the main characters at some point meet and from there a love interest is born.
We will see how Kaine's simple interest in Talon will first turn into pure passion, then of sweet caring to end in the purest of loves.
Nidori will initially be a side character in the love part but don't worry she will get her space as well.
A story full of adventure, fighting, passion and lots and lots of courage.
For all these reasons I gave it 5 out of 5 stars.

Fantastic Fantasy!!
I loved this story! Once I started reading I couldn't put it down.
Lots of world building, unique characters and of course a quest!
It has everything I love about reading fantasy but it wasn't cheesy and over done.
Definitely cannot wait for book two!! This is going on my reread list.

If your looking for a fun quick read this fantasy FMM it perfect for you. It’s so well written that you just get sucked real quick into the story, I finished it in a day. The world building was chefs kiss, really enjoyed it as it was different and fresh. Congrats to the author Katy Black on her debut, looking forward to more of her work.

Seriously, I just sat down to read and the next thing I knew, It was over and now I wait. The world building was amazing and the characters are so freaking lovable! I was definitely rooting for them in their journey and can’t wait to read more. Congrats, Katy B on your debut novel.

This was a great read, it was one of those kinda books you don't want to put down but things like work get in the way and you have to. But this such a good book the world building and story telling was amazing.

it’s a great time

I loved the set up- the first few chapters gave such a good insight into the world and characters. Kaine is definitely my favourite, and I love how he keeps his cheeky personality throughout. Nidori is so sweet and innocent, and it makes me love her even more. Talon truly is a dark knight with a naughty secret!
I was a little disappointed there was only one MMF scene, but there so much pining between them. The MM scenes made up for it as there were plenty of amazingly sexy fun times. The ending was unexpected, and I was close to tears before everything cleared up, and they all got their HEA.

This was a great introduction to Katy Black. Amazing job building this world. If you enjoy fantasy MMF, I definitely recommend this one.
Initially, we meet Talon; an ereni Paladin. He is very dedicated to his service to the guild and has always done everything they asked of him, including only using the back door like a dirty secret. When his near death experience makes him realize, they are not as dedicated to him, he questions what he is doing. He decdes to go it on his own, however, he runs into a god that offers him a mission, recover a relic or cease to live. What's a demon to do when really there's no choice at all?
Kaine, a blood-sucking maoferni, has been trapped by a sorceress for hundreds of years. She uses his own powers against him to make him do anything she wants, no matter how awful. One night, a god frees him on the condition that he recover a relic or lose his new found freedom again.
Nidori, a tiny sprite, is required to take care of all the sprite pods for hundreds of years. The sprites won't let her have a reprieve like she was promised. She loves the pods, but wants more for herself than to be alone in a tree forever. One night, a god frees her to go save a relic before it falls into the wrong hands. She's excited for her new adventure.
Nidori runs into Kaine, and is tricked into bonding with him. He wants to be able to use her, she's lonely and longs for companionship and family and think they are now married.
