My name is Tanner Simpson and I'm gonna be a father.

I never intended for it to happen, but one thing led to another and now Millie Robinson and I are connected for life.

I have no problem with this as she’s the woman of my dreams and her being the future mother of my child is the icing on the cake.

There's just one small snag.

She can't stand me.

Shocking, I know, but nevertheless a problem I must solve, preferably before the baby arrives.

So when she needs a new place to live, an opportunity presents itself for Millie to become my neighbor.

When I'm not on the road fighting for a spot in the post season, I'm with Millie morning, noon and night. She wants ice-cream, I’m getting it. Chocolate brownies, no problem.

Navigating impending fatherhood is nothing compared to convincing Millie to take a chance on me. On Us.

She’s been my Home Run since the first day I laid eyes on her.

Now I need to prove to her I'm as lovable as everyone says I am, and the one she needs around forever.

More recently she's ventured across the Atlantic to where her latest novel is set - the beautiful cities of Oxford and Cambridge, and the annual rowing showdown on the River Thames.

She's a big fan of strong heroines, because those fierce alphas need someone to keep them in check. You'll find her navigating her way through Romance Land one HEA at a time, and trying to figure out the latest social media platform she needs to post to.

This was a wonderful end to the series! Tanner was absolutely ADORABLE. I want to be his friend so that I can have his sweet energy in my life. I liked how the timelines overlapped from the last book. I liked the build up between these two and once again how Millie had these thoughts about Tanner that were just wrong. Their hookup at the beginning was SOO hot. It hurt me a little how badly Millie reacted afterwards. So I was VERY happy that she then got pregnant so Tanner had a chance to PROVE to her that they were right together. This man was SOO down bad for her and had been for a minute. To see how elated he was at this opportunity made me smile. I liked watching their friendship grow. Their foundation. Tanner was SUCH a caretaker. His love language has to be acts of care. I loved how selfless he was with all things Millie. I also loved Millie's thoughts and her emotions were portrayed perfectly coming from experience LOL. I loved how when Millie finally realized how she felt about Tanner he was like I am here and have been waiting for you to wake up. Ultimately these two made each other better. Tanner helped smooth out Millie's edges, and Millie really just made Tanner a very happy man.

Millie has always been irked by Tanner. He is just always there and always in her face. But the man has a reputation. She wants nothing to do with being one of the many who have slept with him. Until she is- in a moment of desperation they sleep together. And it is electric. It is life altering. There is a timeline now a before Tanner and after. But Millie realizes what has happened and acts coldly towards Tanner. Now 6 weeks later Millie realizes she is pregnant. So with her tail tucked between her legs she tells Tanner, and it's like he has been given a gift. The man doesn't seem phased. Not when she says what is happening. Not even when she says she has no expectations of him. He makes it very clear he is going to be in this child's life. He makes that clear with how he reaches out every day to see how she is. With how he finds her a closer place to live. With how he wants to be seen in public with her. With how he makes her special smoothies. He makes it clear that he wants more with her. Not just friends. He has felt a type of way about her for a while and is willing to wait. Well he doesn't have to wait long because the more time the spend together the more Millie realizes she wants him too. His body. His smile. The comfort he brings her. But the longer she goes without telling how she feels, the more it feels like she is lying. And why. The man of her dreams has let her in. Is willing to wait for her. Wants everything from her. So Millie has to put her big maternity pants on let him in.

Tanner has had a crush on Millie for a year now. Every since he saw her, it was like game over. No more women. There was no point. And then Millie and him happen, and it's like he can see what their future will be like. There has never been an experience like what he has felt with her. But then she freaks and lashes out. So Tanner backs off. But when Millie comes back to say she is pregnant. All bets are off. It's like the universe has given Tanner the ultimate chance to prove his worth to her. So now Tanner gets to shower her with all the things. His love. His gifts. His time. His body after some waiting. And now they are doing this thing. They are an item. Tanner can't help but get ahead of himself and think about the future. But the longer Millie goes without fully letting him in, the more Tanner starts to wonder if he is on the same page as her. Because as far as he is concerned, Millie is his endgame. He can't wait to start a family with her!

This was such a wonderful way to end the series! All of the guys have found the women of their dreams and are setting sail towards their future together. I got a little irritated with Millie in this- she was a little too cold for my liking towards Tanner during bits and pieces BUT the epilogue made up for it. This man was just so down bad for her. The things that he did were BEYOND thoughtful. He handed his heart on a platter and was waiting for her. I loved the nuggets we got of the other characters and where they were with everything. I loved the setup for Holiday- anyone else as excited as I am to see her put the Lord in his place?? I highly recommend this series for some wonderful male characters who legit worship the women they fall for.

Thank you to Valentine PR and Lulu for a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review!

this is a new favorite surprise pregnancy book for me!!

tanner has been obsessed with millie since the day he met her and she’s been annoyed with him since that day too. she thought the golden retriever-like baseball player flirted with everyone like he flirts with her but when she’s having a hard day and he volunteers to take her best friend’s role in picking her up from the airport, she’s surprised by the thoughtful man he turns out to be. his ride home turns into her inviting him up… and two lines showing up on the pregnancy test weeks later.

tanner was just the most obsessed, green flag man ever. even though he had no idea what having a baby entailed, he was just happy to be tied to his dream girl forever and have the chance to show her how serious he is about her. this was sexy, funny, and emotional and i always love the casa grayskull antics but add in a baby? ten times better.

Let it be known: when a Lulu Moore book drops, I disappear. I read every single one of her books in one sitting—no interruptions, no distractions, don’t even breathe near me. And Home Run? No exception. I devoured it.

Tanner Simpson… the man that you are. Kind. Supportive. Intentional. He loved Millie from the second he saw her, and he never backed down from it. He’s what every woman dreams of—someone who listens, follows through, and shows up. Over and over again. Ugh. A man.

And Millie. My sweet, strong girl. I felt her grief so deeply, that fear of loving someone just to lose them too. Watching her open up, especially after Brady entered the picture (and okay, her mom definitely helped), was beautiful. And as always, Lulu gave us another powerhouse FMC who finds her way. I loved her.

It hurts my heart that the New York Lions series is ending, but I couldn’t imagine a better conclusion. It was soft, swoony, and filled with so much heart.

Huge thank you to Valentine PR for the e-ARC, and to Lulu—thank you, truly. I’ve been supporting you since 2020, and getting this ARC was a dream. Manifesting that physical ARC next. You already know I’ll read anything you write!!!🤍

This book has all the vibes. Tanner has been chasing after Millie for the past 3 or 4 books but she hasn't given him a look in... Nope, she was determined NOT to be another girl to jump into his bed, until one questionable time she he was being sweet and she was upset only then for her to kick him out and him to look like a lost puppy... And now there's a baby in the way. But will Millie give the ex-playboy a chance? He hasn't looked at anyone since she walked into his life and he's doing his best to win over the woman he loves, even if she's not ready to live him back...

Urgh this book had me hooked. I dragged out reading it on purpose cos I didn't want it to end. Yeah I knew the pattern of how the love story was gonna go but I ate it up with a big smile and answering "Yes" every time Tanner asked "You fall in love with me yet?" *sighs* I'm gonna miss Cassa greyskull so much!

"You don't have to say it back if you're not ready. But I'm not going anywhere. Not now, not ever. This baby is mine."
I'm a sucker for a surprise pregnancy so I knew going in I was going to like this and I was not wrong- this was very cute. It was sweet and easy to read and I thoroughly enjoyed the ride

I loved how sweet Tanner was with both Millie and the pregnancy. He was super supportive and bought a ton of pregnancy books and started taking Millie smoothies in the morning and recorded his voice so the bump could hear him. It was all super adorable

I will say, I wish we had a bit more tension here. Everything just felt too easy? This was a surprise pregnancy and relationship that happened with literally only one slight argument the entire book. And not that I wanted Millie and Tanner to fight or for Tanner to be unsupportive, but the ease just felt unrealistic. Neither of them even really panicked when they found out about the pregnancy. It's like the author wants her characters to be perfect, but flaws are what make people human. And again, not that I wanted them to be jerks or anything, but nobody's perfect. More conflict for them or between them would've given this story a bit more excitement

As ever the other members of casa greyskull were a delight to see along with Radley and i can’t wait to see Holiday in Valentine Nook.

#Review: *Home Run* - Lulu Moore - ARC [18+]
4.8/5✨
3/5🌶️

I'll always read anything written by Lulu Moore. Her books are just the right thing for me. Again, I was super lucky to be accepted for an early copy from Valentine Pr. Thank youuu!

This is the 5th and last book of "The New York Lions" series. It can also be read as a standalone.
We have Tanner and Millie in the main center of this book. They didn't have the best friendship and that's mostly because of Millie. Tanner had always shown his interest for her, but she considered him a player. Until one rainy day will change everything for both of them. How so? Well, all the emotions of that moment threw them together, sharing a steamy one time thing, after which they completely ignored each other. But everything went wrong on that particular one day. Because a couple of weeks after that and a big surprise pregnancy will make their world turn around and force them to spend more time than ever together. But will that be a good thing for Millie?

I adored Tanner, who knew very well how to break the tension in any situation. He was a playboy but he became a completely different guy since he found out about the pregnancy. He was such a dork, a golden retriever who would do anything for his baby mama and his unborn child. Their unhinged relationship was the best and the main thing that I loved about their constant banter. Millie was strong about what she wanted but she never allowed herself to see what her heart wanted. Of course, the close proximity Millie and Tanner faced has transformed into a really steamy connection, which brought to life so many hot scenes.👀

The other characters of this book were such a great addition to it, like the other baseball players, Millies brothers or Tanner's family, especially his twin sister, Holiday. It was so much fun to follow their interactions, always putting a smile on my face. A couple of moments were really emotional, which perfectly completed this whole story.

It was hard to say 'good bye' to this series, getting attached to all the characters but I'm super excited for anything Lulu has prepared for us next. This was one of my favorites by her from this series, conquesting my heart.

Another favorite series is coming to an end and I am UNWELL!! You amazing authors cannot keep DOING THIS TO ME!! 😭😭 I’ve been in shambles all week. But truly…this book was so so good. The perfect way to end a series and we FINALLY get Tanner and Mille’s story after being literally teased and edged with their banter and tension this whole series.

Millie and Tanner are acquaintances by association…their best friends are dating. So when Millie needs a ride from the airport, Tanner is tasked with the job. Tanner is down bad from the moment he sees Millie…and Millie…well…she finds him annoying lol 😂 but he’s annoyingly charming? So she invites him up to her place and things get blurry very quickly.

Fast forward a few weeks and Millie is staring at two pink lines and wondering what the hell she has gotten herself into. But when she tells Tanner? This man is all in. He knows she can’t stand him but that’s not stopping him. He’s determined to show her that they are real and good together. The baby may be moving them a long faster than expected but he doesn’t care. She is his dream girl and will do any and everything to prove that’s he’s all in. Millie isn’t as willing though 😂 she truly is keeping an iron gate up between them.

Millie has a lot of grief she’s working through after the death of her father. That coupled with the news of her surprise pregnancy is taking a toll on her emotionally. Despite her initial annoyance with Tanner, she does have growing feelings for him. But the loss of her father has hurt her in such a deep and profound way that she’s afraid to love again for fear of losing them. And it was truly heart wrenching to read her struggle with that.

Tanner is such a sweet and kind soul. He truly loves and cares about Millie and their baby so much. He has no intention of giving up on making them a real family. Millie is his girl whether she wants to accept it yet or not. And he’s not aggressive in an overbearing way. He simply tells and shows her that he loves her and will wait no matter how long it takes. He’s not going anywhere. And Millie needs to hear it. Even if she doesn’t acknowledge it at first.

But when these two connect??? 🥵🥵🥵 sparks fly like the Fourth of July ! The heat between these two and the way Tanner WORSHIPS her body??? Lord…I’m still clenching my thighs thinking about it. This may push me into having another baby. Just saying 🤭🤭

The cherry on the cake? The banter between the teammates and side characters ! These grown MLB players in a book store discussing the changing colors of nipples during pregnancy ? 😂😂 I was IN TEARS! It was chaotic and I could not get enough. I could have read an entire book on these guys trying to figure out life via how to books!

If you haven’t read this series you need to! Each book is better than the last. And while I’m so sad that it’s over, I’m so thankful that I got to experience it 💙

Thank you LuLu Moore and VPR for the privilege of ARC reading this incredible book.💙

“Since the first time you snarled at me while I was writhing in pain on the floor after being put on my ass by the Secret Service, I have not so much as looked at another woman.”
Tanner Simpson is the absolute sweetest baby daddy around! Earlier this series we saw Tanner’s obsession with Millie Robinson begin and in Home Run we get to see them come together!

Tanner and Millie were an accidental pregnancy that was destined to happen. As soon as Tanner found out he was going to be a dad he was 100% on board. He always wanted Millie and as he said repeatedly, a baby just helps speed up the process. He was determined to show Millie just how great they would be together and was always taking care of her. Even when she was reluctant to believe him.
“If you need time getting used to the idea, then I’ll give it to you. But make no mistake, we are an us.”

I am so sad to see the end of the NY Lions but I am so excited for what is to come next. Can’t wait for Valentine Nook and the connection it will have with this Lions crew!

Well, that was underwhelming. So much of this book was wasted on Millie's repetitive internal monologues, shopping scenes and baby stuff that after finishing it I felt robbed of the romance. Yes, I realise that this is a "surprice pregnancy" book but it also supposed to be a ROMANCE. And I don't feel that we got much of it. We knew from previous books that Tanner loved Millie from the moment he met her but their romance in Home Run is very one-sided and cosists of some sleepovers, conversations about the baby and not much else. For the majority of the book Millie is still refusing to be in a relationship with Tanner and after she finally decides that she loves him we get THE ENDING. I need to vent a bit about the ending because I'm seriously angry.

Even though I didn't love this series as much as the previous ones, I still had fun reading it and can't wait for new books by Moore.

I’m not crying you’re crying. That was the perfect ending to a series that I have loved every single second of. I could not have asked for more from Tanner and Millie’s story.

✨ Baseball Romance

✨ Close Proximity

✨ Found Family

Ans yes, Tanner Simpson gets the award for most down bad man of them all. And I LOVE HIM. This story was accidental pregnancy done well, and Millie and Tanner, I feel like their story needed this, and I loved how much Tanner grew from the begining of this series to the end.

Plus I mean who wouldn’t want a hot golden retriever baby daddy who basically decided no one woman existed the moment he met you. Sign me up.

I also loved that Millie was a but prickly, and that she really had to make sure that she wanted him for reasons beyond circumstance. And I loved watching this journey for them, because if made my little heart happy.

And this team. I don’t know how Jupiter Reeves can still be the grumpiest man in the planet but also the sweetest, and his cameos steal the show every time. And the boys. These four men are just my favorites. The true definition of found family. I love them.

Look even if you aren’t a normal fan of accidental pregnancy. This one will change your mind! It’s just that good.

I don’t know what Lulu puts in her books but I swear that it’s “magic” As with every single book in this series, lets be honest - every single book Lulu has ever written - I have inhaled it at warped speed despite trying to savour the moment.

Let’s get the obvious out of the way first - accidentally pregnancy its probably the least favourite trope of most people. However, I strongly encourage you to put your dislike of the trope on pause as I think Lulu has the power to change your perspective.

Since their first meeting back in The Baller we have seen Tanner fall head over heels in love with Millie. He is known to be this fun loving guy, everyone’s favourite but when Millie doesn’t immediately fall for his charms, he grows ups. He shows her another side to him that is often not seen. One that is sincere, optimistic, caring, one that pays attention to not just the big things but the smaller things that Millie is desperately trying to hide. He is completely and utterly swoon worthy!!

We know that Millie is a take no prisoners, strong, independent woman. She isn’t easily fooled by a flirty smile and a face full of Dimples. But the way she slowly allows Tanner to show her the he is serious, in for the long run and that sometimes taking a chance can be the best decision every made.

This book was jammed packed with all the Lulu moments you come to expect. The banter, swoonworthy moments, emotional sucker punches and a links into the other parts of the Luluverse were all present and I adored every moment of this final journey with the New York Lions.

Honourable Mention
☠️Casa Greyskill - these boys can divide and conquer anything
🏟️Jupiter Reeves voice notes; that old softy

I am an accidental pregnancy trope truther! you will never get me to not like this trope. tanner, you beautiful beautiful man. please know you’re one of my favorite book men now!

millie finds tanner to be ANNOYING and a player who just goes through a list of girls. after a night together, what happens? *que papa don’t preach but the glee version*

millie has her perception on who tanner is which she carries through the book at times being unfair to tanner who he is showing her how committed he is. for tanner, it’s always been millie and no one else since he set eyes on her. he’s the perfect fictional boyfriend and he’s become of my absolute favorites. he really does everything possible to show millie how is going to be there for their baby but most importantly her.

the only reason this book isn’t 5 stars is because of millie. she quite literally made me me want to reach into the book and say, GIRL PLEASE GIVE TANNER A TRY.

this has one of my favorite friendship group dynamics I have ever read. need to go back and read the rest of the series immediately. just imagine these professional baseball players all reading pregnancy books to cover more ground. one of the biggest highlights of the book. seeing all the backstory of the characters made me so upset at myself I hadn’t read this series before.

thank you valentine pr for an arc in exchange of my honest thoughts and opinions ✨

oh, this was perfection.
I love this book. This book had me giggling and kicking my feet in the air because Tanner was unreal. *in Drax's voice* That is a MAN!.
Did Tanner surpass Drew and Rafe as my main book boyfriend? no, but he's right there with them!
The story was wonderful and so sweet. My girl, Millie. my beautiful, strong girl. I adored her. she was everything I love in my heroines. Someone who is strong and opinionated but also soft and sweet and loving and caring because that's the duality of being a real person and love Lulu's books because her characters always feel real and like you can relate to them easily.
Side characters were perfect, which at this point is a staple from Lulu's writing. you always fall in love with the side characters because friends are also family, and ohana means family and family, means no one is left behind!! and that's exactly what every single side character did for Tan and Mills... support them and be there for them *cries*
I love this book. it's probably my favorite from the NYL series, and although I'm sad, this is the last book. I'm happy it ends like this. Happy 💙

thank you to Lulu and Valentine PR for the chance to read this book in exchange for an honest review.

Surprise baby? YES, please!! Millie and Tanner have always bantered with each other since their best friends are dating. Tanner is sent to pick up Millie and the two end up hooking up. Several weeks later, Millie is shocked to learn she hasn't had weeks long food poisoning but is pregnant. I'd love that this all happens early in the book and we watch the characters navigate through all the feelings and the pregnancy. I loved this so much!
I listened to the audiobook performed by Savannah Peachwood & Teddy Hamilton. They did a fantastic job of bringing the emotions & chemistry. I highly recommend the audiobook! Five Stars!

⭐ ARC Review – 5/5 ⭐

If there’s something I adore about this new author I’ve been reading, it’s how she nails her characters — every single time. No matter the trope, no matter the setup... she knows exactly what she’s doing. And what she does? Is delicious. 😌

Let’s dive into this review.

Big thanks to Lulu and the Valentine PR & Literary Management team for the opportunity to read this ARC! It was exactly what I wanted: love, pregnancy, babies, friends, and a man who absolutely melts for the heroine. Ugh. My heart.

Tanner
When I first met Tanner in previous books, I wasn’t exactly a fan. He seemed like just another guy chasing Millie — a bit much, a bit meh. But then? A surprise pregnancy plot twist and I was like: wait... WHAT?! 👀 And oh, it delivers. Tanner is hands-down one of the sweetest, most loyal, gentle, and patient heroes I’ve read from this author (and I still have more of her books to go!).
The way he stays, waits, and fights with love for someone who doesn’t even realize she loves him back yet? 🥹 ICONIC. There were tears, angry siblings, shocked families… but nothing stopped him. His goal was simple: win Millie’s heart. And he did it, beautifully.

Millie
Strong. Quiet. Our ultimate Black Cat heroine. She’s been through a lot, and her wounds made her believe she didn’t deserve love — especially after finding out she’s pregnant. The fear of becoming a disappointment, especially without her father’s support, weighed heavily on her. But Tanner? Tanner helped her see her worth. He showed her she could both give and receive love. That she deserved joy, and she was never broken — just hurt. Her journey was powerful, and her mom also played a key role that touched me deeply.

Seeing the Grayskull House reunited? Adorable.
Watching Tanner and his crew become honorary uncles? Heart-melting.
This book gave me softness, healing, love, laughter, and a few happy tears.

I was a little bit disappointed with this one. I love he falls first and Tanner has fallen but I have no clue why you hardly know anything about Millie.

So Tanner has been in love with Millie since he first laid eyes on her. He has not been messing around with anybody else which was refreshing as the playboy trope is so old now. He has tried to get her attention and she has given him the cold shoulder.

Millie is in a bit of a vulnerable state as her mother is just moving in her boyfriend (her father died 4 years ago) Tanner is nice to her they sleep together she panics that as he is a bit of a playboy she is just a number on a list.

Millie gets pregnant she does struggle with this and only being 21 I am not surprised. She decided to keep it and is going to defer school. Everything is just so surface level and there is not really any angst or much going on. No 3rd act break I think maybe them being so young was what I had such issues with.

I really loved the final standalone in this series. It was cute! The hero was so in love with the FMC, and I loved seeing this team again. The narrators were great too!

Super low angst, no third act break up. If you love books with minimal conflict and angst…this series is amazing!

📌 I received an e-arc, and this is my honest opinion/review of it.

And that's how you make a book with the surprise pregnancy trope, that's how you do it: cute, little drama, two people falling in love, just perfect.

I liked Tanner since he appeared in this series, no doubt his character is written to endear him, this whole facet, this whole story was just good with him and Millie, she certainly takes the whole book, how mature she was?How did her character evolve in such a beautiful way? These two made me fall in love, and I loved them from start to finish. I love the "he fell first and hard for her" trope, but here it exceeded all my expectations, all the boys, the interactions between the families, EVERYTHING WAS PERFECT.

The romance was everything I could have asked for: slow but beautifully done. Tanner was patient with Millie, who gave herself the space and understanding to reciprocate his feelings. These two were soulmates from the moment they met, and I was just happy.

Without a doubt this ending of the series was epic, that's how everything has to be, a perfect finale for this series because this book was just perfect for me.

✨ Audio Review ✨
SWOON! Home Run by Lulu Moore was a sweet and heartwarming baseball romance that did deliciously good things to my heart. I couldn’t get enough of Millie and Tanner’s “it’s always been you” chemistry mixed with yummy banter and dreamy moments that made me fall hard and fast for these two. This is my first Lulu Moore and won’t be my last!

Savannah Peachwood and Teddy Hamilton perform this audiobook in dual narration, and I could not stop smiling and fawning over their swoony narration. Savannah adds a subtle softness and vulnerability to her voice to portray Millie’s timidity and desires as she sorts out her true feelings about the baby and Tanner. Teddy makes this man simply irresistible and so loveable, exuding all of Tanner’s golden retriever energy to the fullest. Plus, both narrators create the perfect amount of longing and tension between Millie and Tanner. The duet style text exchanges make this audiobook even more immersive.

Overall, I LOVED this book. If you are a fan of an accidental pregnancy romance with a dedicated pro baseball player, a devoted new baby momma, one night stand, he falls first and hard, all the pregnancy books, dedicated teammates, supportive family, private shopping sprees, baseball games, jelly beans, persistence, steamy times, chocolate, love declarations, a baby birth, super swoony moments, and a HEA that will hit a home run in your heart, then you will love Millie and Tanner’s story. I am looking forward to more from Lulu Moore.

Tanner is a certified boy obsessed, and Millie deserves all of that obsession.
I loved their slow burn, while the spice was so damn hot, I loved how they built a really good relationship.
It certainly helped that Tanner was down bad and willing to do anything for her; who wouldn’t want that? ;)
Their book was certainly worth the wait and I loved them.

Thank you Lulu and Valentine PR for an advanced copy.
