Enjoyed it
I liked the new monster type. Glad the Tenor quest line is wrapped up, I don't care for the stress hanging over the MC for multiple books.
Tac is great, glad he found a kindred spirit.
I look forward to the next instalment.

Meh... Story arch is going sideways
The author is officially deviating from the last three story arches in that roughly the first 40% is still taking place on the Fourliance continent. In my last review I mentioned that there is just too much happening. This book continues that problem; Tenor, the resistance on the next continent, the Terror, the world monster on the next continent, Jade/Glutton, ice cream, A merchant organization, A new shipping enterprise, and the results of apparently pissing off the system.
Not going to lie, I skimmed a lot of the fight scenes. Reading these books feels like binge watching the first three John Wick films; boring after awhile. So much of the smaller plots that are introduced, admittedly give a break from the larger fight scenes but they don't seem to push the main story arch along.
Still suffering from grammar problems and misspelling; also forgetting his own rules. Example, apparently Keith learned a new skill called Armageddon Speak instead of Armageddon Spear; and somehow Keith was able to use his world item of teleportation when he started a fight by attacking someone with a skill (previous rule was that he could not use the item when in a fight).
Overall storyline is Meh so far, but we do get to see our favorite Foxian tea makers again, so BONUS!!!

Worst book in the series by far. Very slow with not much happening, lots of filler and unimportant things that sort of just occur but are never very interesting or meaningful. The whole Tenor thing started off good but it did not feel like there was any true payoff. I also despised the whole ice cream empire thing and felt it detracted from the plot. There were many plot holes or parts where things were glossed over or forgotten about. And don't get me started on the side characters. They have become caricatures, and every female character acts the same, in a very frustrating way. And now there's and AI... While it was more tolerable in earlier books, it had become even worse as the series has gone on. Overall I find myself wanting to skim along just to find out what happens with the plot.

October 2, 2025Note to self: this whole "every single woman has the hots for the MC to an uncomfortable degree" got old last book, it's getting annoying by this one.
I'll keep reading, but more and more this is starting to read like the novelization of an MMORPG end game, where the player skips all quest dialog, pushes the main quest, does side quests only for loot, and runs everywhere to get it done before the next expansion.

Good Continuation
Our favorite murderous and emotionally unavailable man is back for more monster bashing. Was a good read and exciting from start to finish. If I had a bone to pick it would be that Keith magically seems to forget he has ways to make himself invulnerable in fights, leading to him getting wrecked more than it seems he should. Other than that though loved it!

Awesome but so many typos
The books are great. i quite enjoy them. The only frustration is so many typos. I stopped correcting them after the 4th book as there were too many, and I gave up . From time to time, there are continuity errors, such as using the protagonists name instead of an antagonist even with these errors I still continue to enjoy the books

While there were definitely some big events that happened that are key to moving the plot along, this overall felt like more of a setup book. Still enjoyable and I’m looking forward to continuing, but not my favorite entry.

I am not good with words describing why I like or dislike a book. To say series has a good story line is an understatement. It is predictable to a point but worth reading.

Great addition to the series
Full of what made the earlier books such a great read the author continues to add to the complexity of the story and yet the books are easy and fast to read! Keep up the great work!

Still fun.
This had better start threading the story lines into a single braid. It is still very fun, but needs some closure on a few plot lines before it gets to convoluted.

I enjoyed the spreading out into economic areas this book showed.
But the main storyline didn’t really go anywhere, and felt like filler again.
