Sam Hamm is an American screenwriter, perhaps best known for writing the screenplay for Tim Burton's Batman and an unused screenplay for the sequel. As a result of his work, he was invited to write for the Batman comic. The result was Batman: Blind Justice, which introduced Bruce Wayne's mentor, Henri Ducard, who later appeared in Batman Begins. Hamm's other screen credits include Never Cry Wolf and Monkeybone. He also wrote unused drafts for Planet of the Apes and Watchmen adaptations.

Notes: A lot in your face, all over the place, messy and chaotic, it's subplot stew (so loads to chew), feels garish and neurotic.

I’m pretty sure this writer never saw either of the Burton movies, but at this point I’m just treating the run as a new story done in that visual style and nothing else. There were some fun moments in this one. Loved Harley’s outfit.

Echoes

Strong writing from Batman (89) screenwriter Sam Hamm. This story continues the Michael Keaton movie with new characters and villains that weren't used in that Tim Burton run. I'm enjoying the continuation.
