After capturing and absorbing the powers from the JSA, Jadestone is compromised by Green Lantern Alan Scott’s willpower. Suddenly faced with the concept of free will, does JADESTONE continue to execute Waller’s orders or have a change of heart? Meanwhile the remaining JSA members attempt a rescue mission to retrieve their teammates and escape to the Tower of Fate!
Another good one, as far as the Tie-ins are concerned Jeremy Adams has been writing some of the better ones. Here we get some interesting developments as the Amazo absorbs Alan Scott’s power and develops a “will” of its own, making it the most interesting of these robots so far.
I’m also enjoying the ensemble nature of the GL tie-ins as they’ve had some good characterizations so far.
Well as someone who's favorite superhero team of all time is JSA it's impossible not to rate this issue with five stars, I enjoyed JSA's ( especially Alan scott's) characterization more than I expected). and The amazo Gaining free will of his own thanks to Alan scott's power is very interesting, really speaks a lot about how unique he and his powers are. I've seen people hate on this event a lot and so far I don't see it, it's not a masterpiece but it's definitely quite a good one. The only thing that was slightly weird is Carol acting like she was a new character and calling Hal a newer green lantern but that's just a slight problem I had with this issue. And Amanda waller really makes quite a impressive villain.
Weird for Carol Ferris to refer to Hal Jordan as the "newer" Green Lantern. I considered Kyle Rayner the "new" Green Lantern nearly 30 years ago, and we've added at least two more Earth-based GLs since. Carol sort of acted as if she were supposed to be a newer character, even though she has been around for decades herself.
The Amazo in this one has developed free will. It seems all the amazo's are going heroic qualities when they absorb powers. Seems like the seeds for how this all ends have been well and truly planted.
It is not bad but this mini-series has no continuous plot of its own. Each issue takes us to a different group of heroes and their battle with the Amozos, some of which started in their own tie-ins (so basically tie-in to a tie-in).
Amanda Waller needs to sit down. Adams did a good job at making Waller even more irritable and unlikeable than earlier. No complaints about the art either.
This was slightly more interesting than the previous two issues in my opinion. But overall so far I don't think this volume is anything to write home about.
