Life's hard for a muffin lord.
Between running a super successful business and falling deeper in love with his men, all the while fretting over a possible war between two kingdoms, Evan has a lot on his plate. With the coming of spring, a festival is held in the kingdom, and Evan is asked to join the celebration. A nice distraction from everything else going on.
Coffee, cupcakes, and muffins make the world go round, after all.

However, Evan has a secret... one that could destroy all he holds dear. He and his men are happier than any of them ever believed possible. Can that love withstand the battles to come when the truth of his past is revealed?

Book 4 in the Sent to a Fantasy World series and must be read in order.

Awww... It was such a joy to be back with Evan and his men. I loved seeing them all together again and how their personalities blended seamlessly, each having value and importance in loving and protecting their muffin lord. I adore the strong bond between Maddox and Briar and the growing affection between Lake and Rowan. All four contribute something unique and essential to Evan's happiness, and I couldn't get enough of the scenes with all five together, watching their relationships grow and mature.

One of my favorite aspects of this story was the relationship between Evan and Callum. I've enjoyed their banter and friendship from the beginning, and witnessing their bond evolve into something more sincere, heartfelt, and genuine was so precious and created many swoon-worthy moments. Callum is incredibly patient, kind, and protective of his beloved muffin lord, and I love that they finally have their time together after so long.

Another great part of this story is the added mystery surrounding Evan's origins and the threats to his very existence. The looming dread of others wishing him harm brings his harem together as they fight against a great evil that threatens their mate.

I can't wait for the next entry. I love seeing Evan and his men as the suspense and dread build around Evan's secrets being revealed.

**4.5 stars**. Rounding up because this series has become my ultimate comfort read. It's a bit ridiculous, but incredibly sweet, cozy, and funny—impossible not to fall in love with.
Highlights:
*Callum aka "Sir Swoonamon Roll" - the perfect addition to the group. The evolution of Callum and Evan friendship into more was organic, and the development from friends to lovers felt inevitable. Loved Callum's family.
*The growing bond between Lake and Rowan, the banter between the two, Lake hitting Rowan with his tail
*Oreo - the cutest demon puppy
Also, I discovered via Jaclyn's FB group that the kingdom name, Bremloc, is an acronym for Evan and his men: Briar, Rowan, Evan, Maddox, Lake, O, Callum with one other letter being shared by two men. My bet is on Onyx and Ban. Can't wait for the next installment!

As always, Evan and his men are the cosiest fluffiest slice of life goodness one needs. We get a new addition to the collection of hunks, a sweet cinnamon roll of a man. Also, Kuya and Sawyer better get their HEA because I just can't help take the heartbreak.

Sometimes I feel like Evan is too kind/nice for his own good it gets a point where I'm just like damn this fella is just so fucking stupid or what?!
It just felt too cartoonish, like instead of awwwe this is so kind of him 🥺🥺 I'm like Evan you're literally walking into a fucking trap, you're so gullible, it would be so easy to kidnap him put like a sadass cat In a cage he'll come right at it without noticing the human sized cage.
Also why do I feel like some of the men on his harem or the characters feel overshadowed by a lot of the newcomers.
Like briar and lake they're just kind of mellow out in the background unlike Maddox and Rowan they both have such a great characterization and Calum also has that as well.

Oh how I’ve missed Evan and all his men. This was such a nugget of goodness. I loved that it felt like a deep breath—seeing Evan enjoy his men and seeing them interact and create their own bonds. The new addition had been a long time coming and I’m happy they are finally part of the harem. I think it’s pretty obvious who the sixth man will be and I thought I knew who the seventh would be, but now I’m not so sure. And who knows? Maybe there will be more.

I appreciated that this was mostly just Evan and his men living their lives while still dealing with the ongoing tensions. We got a little more action toward the end, but I feel like it set up the next book to be a bit more dark and angsty. So a nice little nugget of sexy sweetness that I definitely loved every second of and hoping the next book doesn’t take long!

Also….if Sawyer and Kuya don’t get their HEA I will RIOT!!!

This series is still an enjoyable read. I did feel like this book was kind of giving "filler episode" vibes, but the storyline still progressed with love, laughter, desserts, and spice.

Notable Quotes:

Their scents mingled in the air, consuming me. Magnolia blossoms, leather and warm spice, and peaches.

Black cardamom.

I now felt like Princess Muffin from the magical kingdom of Coffee Beans. And all the men wanted a taste of my goodies.

You’re such an anxious little speck of gold, aren’t you?”

“If you were any cuter, it’d be criminal.”

“Says the actual criminal.”

He gave me “burnt marshmallow” energy. Crispy and coarse on the outside but sweet and gooey on the inside.

Being back here is nostalgic and idk why bc it’s an ongoing series… but I said what I said!!!

I was so happy to be back in Bremloc with Evan and his man squad. They’re all my favorites.

But no one… and I mean NO ONE outshines my sweet baby with a sweet tooth and broken heart, Kuya. He is forever and always, unmatched.

So ya I’m already deeply in love them all beyond comprehension sooooooo ♾️/10

4/5. Because it needs a lot of editing. Moving on.

I am not okay. I am officially rioting over Ban being excluded after that shit. I hates it. He did not deserve that. Rude. I’m so glad I can keep going, but knowing I’ll have to wait after the next one is making me break out in hives. I love and hate that I didn’t wait until the serial was finished. Will there ever be a time when I want it to be the last volume? No.

Yay! At last Callum is a fully paid-up member of the Muffin Lord and the Seven Alphas Club. I think I know of at least one other possible addition ; unfortunately, the Douchebag Prince makes an appearance in this one, and is as nasty as ever 😡, and yes, I still believe he's behind everything that's going wrong in the kingdom, although maybe that's a tad obvious?

This is the fluffiest fluff to ever fluff. I thought this would be the last book but given we are yet to fill up the harem with 2 more members missing I assume at minimum there are 2 more books. I think the next two members are Ban and the Nocturne mage. The only mystery for me now is why Evan is more important than Sawyer

Mary Sue All Along
2,5 stars...It did not live up to the expectations we had since this series began, in a sublime way, with a first book that did not promise much but was a kind of molasses, simple but sweet and effective. In contrast, not much (or almost nothing) happens in the fourth volume because it must have been conceived as a transition to the following books, a kind of filler episode made into a book, which fails to achieve either the cheesy excitement of the first ones or their charm. Instead, all the characters return, plus Sir Cinnamon Roll, who finally joins Evan's harem. There is little to highlight in this novel, in which the characters move but at a slow pace, and almost nothing happens. It's all vaudeville entanglements and praise for Evan, who seems to be the most beautiful being in the universe, the kindest, and the one who does everything best (Mary Sue, ever heard of that?). Evan is the one who helps the prince cope with his confinement as best he can (Mary Sue), Evan is the one who boosts the morale of the troops (Mary Sue!). Evan helps a demon who ends up saving his life (Mary... oops, now it's Deus ex machina). Evan saves the lives of the troops, because conveniently, in a castle surrounded by spies, a powerful wizard sneaks in who, Conveniently, he is attacked by a Fenrir, but survives and casts a sleeping spell on himself so he doesn't have to respond to questions. Don't get me wrong, I certainly don't expect this to be High Literature, with a capital H. But it's one thing to present something that we all know is light-hearted, and quite another to write something that goes against the world you've been creating for three books. All right, so Mary S... Evan, I mean, is the most beautiful and men fall in love with him because he is delicate and because he brings them food, which makes me think that, if it weren't for the fact that he is a man, it is a kind of very sexist female fantasy in which muscular and non-muscular men, with all kinds of bodies, fall in love with the clumsy but big-hearted girl, soap opera style (It's on its way to becoming the United Colours of Benetton of love), normative bodies, of course, none of them are fat or hairy. We are bombarded with contradictory information, but we have to wait for something to happen in the final third of the book, because Evan spends several hundred pages deliberating whether or not to reveal that he is the prince's son, the lost one. On top of all this, he survives a potentially deadly spell because he was wearing a stone with an enchantment that protected him with his love (Mary Sue is another way of spelling Harry Potter). All in all, considering everything, I'm going to take a break from this series because it has lost its way, its charm and its grace. For all my gals and gays who believe in love at first sight, and have a bit of a wandering eye, this one's for you

Have you ever read a book and you're so sad when it's over because you love it so much and just want it to go on forever and ever....only you're only halfway through the book so what the heck is your problem?? Yeah, this entire series is that for me. This series....oh, this series is just *it* for me. Sometime very *very* soon, I'm going to go back and reread it all because this series just makes me smile. Evan is so adorable, his lovers, so different but so devoted to him. This book is like....like the perfect day, which for me is curled up under a blanket, book in hand, mug of tea beside me, a plate of cookies next to that. It's a comfort. It's so easy to get through, so fun to read. I laugh, I cry a little and there are still plenty of sexy times....as well as plot points. This is definitely a series that is needed in this world today, when things get too hard and feel so bleak and depressing and cold and.....ugh! This book, this series, it makes things feel lighter, if only for a little while.

If it isn't obvious, I absolutely adore this series and am, already, eagerly anticipating the next book's release date announcement....when I will then count down until it can be in my hands. Highly recommend if you like light and fluffy mixed with sexy and, as the title suggests, fantasy. I totally guessed who number five in Evan's harem would be (sorry, Ev, but Ro's right; you are totally rocking a harem. You need to embrace this!). I have an idea of who six may be (hope I'm right; it'll be just too cute, I imagine) and, while seven's not seeming obvious, I've got a few candidates I'm considering. Oh, and I loved Oreo! And Kuya's still so adorable, though that storyline's breaking my heart a bit.

I could go on and on, but, seriously, highly recommend. This series is easily at the top of my all-time favorites, competing with some darn good ones too (Lily Mayne's Monstrous might be up there as well, just saying).

I'm off to decide whether I'm going to try to make a dent in my to-read pile or put that on hold for a while and start back at the beginning of this series. It's a harder decision than I like to admit, despite how long that to-read list is and how many other books I really want to read!

Reread 3/25/25: So, yeah, didn't make a dent in my to-read before rereading this series. Did I just finish this book last week? Yes. Did that stop me from starting it again? Not even a little. I absolutely love this series and I wanted to stay in this world just a little longer, so I did. And I'm happy I did. Reading this series just makes me feel lighter. It makes me laugh, makes me smile, makes me cry--happy and sad tears both because there are some not-so-light moments--and I'm glad I reread. But even I have to admit that, while tempting, reading it *again* so soon would be pushing it and may make it repetitive and dull and I never want to chance that. So, I shall leave Bremloc, Evan and his men, his knights, adorable Kuya, sweet Prince Sawyer and all the rest for now. I eagerly anticipate the release of the next book (though it hasn't even been mentioned so I fear I may have a long wait *sigh*) and shall never forget the wonderful smiles this series has bestowed upon me.

Okay, so I'm laying it on a bit thick. But, I really love it!

I must admit that this series totally surprised me. I wasn’t really sure what to expect when I started reading the first book, but I was definitely not expecting to absolutely love it as much as I did! This was very much a ‘Don’t judge a book by its cover’ moment, and I’m so glad that I gave into the whim to give it a go, because it was exactly what I needed at that time without realising it – some good light-hearted fun.

I adore reading about Evan’s adventures as the ‘Muffin Lord’: he’s so endearing, I just can’t not love him! With his adorable clumsiness and kind heart, it’s no surprise that he keeps attracting so many good men. I particularly have soft spots for Briar and Lake, but I do love Maddox and the others too. They’re a good mix of characters with good hearts to balance out the personalities of their family unit.

I really love the demi-human characters: Lake and Kuya. They are just an adorable addition to the whole story, though it’s sad that they aren’t looked upon very favourable by most. I just want to wrap Lake up in my arms and give him the biggest hug ever and make Kuya as many strawberry treats as he wants!

And don’t get me started on Prince Sawyer and Kuya – I’m so rooting for a happy ending for them! My heart melts whenever Sawyer gives Kuya heart eyes, and I’ve really enjoyed seeing how the demi-human has been learning etiquette so he can spend more time with his Prince.

These books just bring me so much joy, bringing humour despite the various dangers that are looming, although it’s still done in such a way that it doesn’t get too heavy. Everything seems to all blend into a perfect easy read that has me going through so many happy emotions. Once I’d dived in, I couldn’t stop and the other books were quickly devoured. Now I’m impatiently awaiting the next instalment as I can’t wait to see what happens next to Evan and his men – and fingers crossed for Oreo to be included too!

I’m currently pausing this series hoping against hope that the author gets over themselves & finishes the last book of the series. If the author chooses not to do so as of the end of 2026 I will be boycotting the author full stop.
As far as I am concerned being an adult myself (40 years to be exact), to give a reason that you’ve just lost interest in a story that basically is quite possibly ready for editing & proofreading is just fucking laziness. Every adult person knows that hard things happen in life & that we have to push through whether we like it or not. I am at a point in my life where I have no problem casting shade on someone for promising something & then not backing it up with the promised product, proving themselves dishonorable. Now, if the author was dealing with health issues & then communicated that to their readers, it would be a reasonable explanation for pausing finishing the writing. But as there is none stated by the author other than that they lost interest in the finishing book 6, they are showing this reader that the author doesn’t care about their chosen job & definitely not their readers who keep them financially going. I’m aware my thoughts sound harsh but they’re my opinions & I’m well within my right to speak them without expecting anyone to agree with me.

I'm not even surprised by how much I end up loving every single book of this series.

I'm usually not a big fan of fluffy, bordering on sappy, books with no angst, but I never get tired of Evan and his men. I love how natural it feels whenever Evan falls in love with another guy. The dynamics of their family are always perfect.

“Well, then, this bad boy can kill your enemies and still be soft with you at the same time. It’s called balance.”
“It’s called murder.” I sighed. “Don’t make me confiscate your daggers.”

They're so precious. 😭💕

“You say no life is more important than another, yet I would give mine for you without hesitation.”

The plot is getting a bit more intense here, and I can't wait to see how the story will progress.

Yes, I finished this in one day instead of working and I can do is say:

CALLUMMMMMMM! FINALLYYYYYYY!

description

I have been obsessed with him since the first book and I'm so glad this cinnamon roll got what he DESERVED. Calling Evan "Ev"? Ugh. Gorgeous (just like his abs 🥵)

Story is getting a little more serious as the tension between kingdoms/demons progresses but there is so much heart in every moment that makes you smile. I can't even pick a favorite character anymore, call me the Muffin Lord because I have enough room in my heart to LOVE ALL OF THEM.

I've officially dove off the deep end with this series. It's my everything. I need whatever Jacklyn Osborn put in these book injected into my VEINS. My only regret is devouring these books like a knight in Evan's kitchen around sweets because what will I do now while I wait for the next one?

ps. Having a bowl of chili and THEN going to pound town? This world really IS magic.

Wow... I finished this book last night, went to bed, got up and read it again, thinking it'd help me before writing a review. All I can say is that despite it being five minutes since finishing the book again, I'm now going into withdrawal. I need more Evan and his men!

This was a great addition to the series and I am SO incredibly excited (and trying to be super patient) for books five, six, seven, and eight! All I can say is... this is an AMAZING series. The characters are easy to fall for, even the seemingly unlikable ones, and the storyline is captivating, just like the book's heroes. I highly recommend this series, and as I said already, when the remaining books are ready, I'll be there to enjoy more of Evan's story, and to see how things work out for him and all the people of Bremloc.

🌶🌶.5 peppers

I am now caught up with a series, and now I have to wait forever for book five. I'm already dying for.

I really love how on each book we get moments of bonding between all the different men. This one really focused on Lake and rowan, and they're growing friendship. While I really love Callum, and their relationship is super adorable, they were too dumb in this book. It took too long for them to figure it out.

Oreo was one of the best parts. We need more Oreo. I'm so worried for Prince Sawyer and Kuya. They better get a HEA!!

We're all in agreement that Ban is going to be one of the other men. He is so sweet. I want more Ban. My guess for the seventh is Draven.

I can't wait to see the reactions when the royals found out who Evan is. Book 5 now please! I love this series. One of my silly comfort reads.

The process of adding Callum was so unlike the way the characters had been written up til now that it violently ejected me from the immersion, and I spent the rest of the book skimming and nitpicking. And I'm mad about it. I was REALLY loving this story. But suddenly Evan became so, dumb - like, you have 4 partners but can't tell when you're being hit on? You've been scenting him for weeks and TOLD your partners that he's he new partner but are surprised when you realize he's a partner? The men repeatedly told you that they accept him but it isn't til you're handed lube that you realize they've accepted him?

what is going on?!
he wasn't this stupid before!

I couldn't get back into the immersion after that and I'm mad about it. I WANTED to stay immersed.

argh.

I hope the next 2 additions aren't as uncharacteristically dumb. 😭
if they are, I'm taking Oreo and leaving. he's mine now.

Why Choose Fantasy Romance

I really did enjoy reading fourth volume of the series. Because you get to learn more about Evan and his men. I like the fact that you get to see glimpse of his future men. I also like the fact that it’s a mystery going on and you wanna figure out how they’re gonna solve it. Because there’s so many possible endings to Evan and his men’s story. And you just want them to have the happiest one. And I like the fact that they all come together as a group and they accept each other. And that they’re very protective of Evan and want him to have so much happiness in his life. I cannot wait to read the next volume. I want to see what’s gonna happen with this group. And see what’s gonna happen with the kingdom as well.

This book was, hands-down, one of the best reads of 2025 so far.

I seriously love Evan, even when he’s being stupid. Maddox and Briar are such a cute duo with their love for Evan.

Oreo is just precious. I need an entire book of this cute lil baby hanging out with Evan. Seriously. Oh my GOD.

I’m also hoping Evan gets a kinkier partner. We have a wide variety of lovers in terms of speed, but why do I think a certain knight likes choking? Hmmm… He grabbed his neck, that’s all I’m sayin.

I’m really hoping we see Briar and Rowan’s magic grow. I’m especially interested in seeing how they’d fare if they had to go toe-to-toe with an evil mage. I keep waiting for Briar to say “link with me.”

Plz tell me there’s gonna be like 5 more volumes. I NEED it.

I really enjoyed this one. It felt like we are finally getting somewhere with the plot but I am still waiting for more. Idk how many books this is gonna be but I expect 2 or 3 more. I was totally right about Callum being one of the love interests and I know I’m right about Ban too. That was for sure him speaking at the end there. I have a theory that Evan is actually the heir to the throne and that his dad was older than the current king or he’s actually that kings son or something. Idk yet. Anyways I’m really excited since we’re near the end and hopefully the story will really continue to pick up in the next one.

The fourth installment of this series is the best so far. I wasn’t so sure in the previous volumes but this story has grown on me. The characters and the plot. This volume added my favorite character to the harem. I’ve got to say though that if this continues each book will just be a mass of arms, legs and … other appendages.

I think this book did a good job on the spice level. Not to much, just enough. I don’t know how I feel about the main protagonist as the clumsy almost fool like character. I do like his humor and how his confidence has bloomed. I was thinking this was the final volume but I guess I’m wrong and now I have to wait impatiently for the next.

This series is EVERYTHING! I binged all four books in two days. I simply cannot get enough of Evan and his men. It's so sweet and so funny! I haven't stopped smiling since book one! All of the characters are to die for. Evan is a walking disaster who radiates kindness. Maddox and Rowan are so stinking snarky. Briar and Lake are as pure hearted as can be. Callum is perfectly ooey gooey. I straight up cannot live without Kuya and his antics and Prince Sawyer's indulgence. And OMG Ban…...my heart cant take it ❤️❤️
Do yourself a favor and go read this series.

I've enjoyed the series so far, but this one pissed me off. Evan is apparently quite content to just sit by and let his men disrespect each other, which is shitty. I hope he gets his shit together in the next book. Also some diversity in his partners wouldn't go astray, we've just got minor variations on typical hunk so far; bring in a big bearish guy with some meat on him, or even just another twink, just something to change it up.
