Break the curse; shoulder the duty.

Newly bestowed with a rank and privilege she never dreamed had been her birthright, Felicity is lost. Her ruthless instincts have no place in this new life, and there is still a hole in the fabric of her memory. Determined to piece together the mysteries of her past, Felicity leaps at the opportunity to scour the realms and protect the heartstones that give them strength.

If the answers can’t be found at home, perhaps it’s time to go back to the Tower...

Alarian is certain he doesn’t deserve Felicity’s attention — so, when she defies the newly freed Ward to insist she complete Alarian’s mission with him, he’s relieved that she also seems determined to ignore him. Except somehow, Alarian discovers he can sense Felicity’s emotions, and now there is nowhere to hide a yearning heart.

But dancing one step ahead of them, a nightmare has begun to unfold. The traitor queen has gathered allies, and her plan is hidden within old stories and forced oaths. The key to power lies in Felicity’s past — a past she can’t unlock without facing a truth that may destroy her.

“Your past may have molded you, but it doesn’t define you. You get to choose who you’re meant to be. Not by the part you think you’re meant to play but the person you want to be. Not as a spy. A weapon. Or a princess. Just as you are. As Felicity. Because the world won’t be ready for the impact you can have on it if you embrace yourself.”

He leaned in and whispered in her ear, “Does this count as the final dance for our oath?” A shiver ran down her spine at the rumble of his voice so close. His breath heated the skin at her throat. “Shouldn’t I be asking you that?” “At this point I feel like we need to agree.” The scar on her palm warmed against his hand. A reminder of what was still between them. One final connection and agreement that drew them together. “Not unless you want it to be.”

Don't mind me. I'll just be over here swooning for Alarian for the rest of my damn days. 😬🤭

I really enjoyed "A Nameless Oath" and felt like it was a great conclusion to the duology! In this one, we dive deeper into Felicity's past while she navigates the challenges of her new found political status. Plus we get more magic, political intrigue, tension, and that slow-burn romance that had me devouring this book!

We follow Felicity's journey as she tries to piece together her forgotten memories while dealing with dangers, secrets and betrayal. Alarian’s emotional struggles and his dynamic with Felicity brought so much depth to the story. I really enjoyed their journey coming together and how they worked through the plot twists and each other's secrets.

This duology has all of the classic romantasy tropes that I love—the slow burn, the tension, and all the angst! If you loved the first book, you’ll definitely want to read this one! I highly recommend this duology to anyone who enjoys fantasy with a touch of romance and political intrigue.

You’re not ready for the thrilling conclusion to the Realms Curse duology!

This sequel has it all—more tension, more POVs, more angst, and definitely more romance. One of my favorite things about this book is the adventure. We journeyed through so many breathtaking places, each one more incredible than the last. Every new destination had me on edge, wondering where they would end up next, and the world-building was chef’s kiss.

I especially loved the quest-like feel that threw our characters together, making them face challenges (and those swoon-worthy fantasy romance tropes that had me squealing!).

Prouse delivers an epic ending with A Nameless Oath, and trust me—you don’t want to miss this!

Oh, “A Nameless Oath” by GW Prouse—what an absolute marvel of a book!

It’s one of those stories that quietly draws you in, bit by bit until you’re completely invested without even realising it.

Let’s talk about the characters first—top-notch.
Felicity, Alarian, and Kellan all felt so real. You could really sense their struggles and triumphs in a way that made you cheer for them, want to slap some sense into them, or just give them a big hug.

That slow-burn romance? Absolutely nailed it. It felt authentic and properly earned, not just tacked on for the sake of having romance. Every interaction was electric, and the tension was just sublime.

The world-building is another standout. Each realm came alive with such intricate detail that it felt like you could step right into the pages and explore it yourself. The magic lore was fascinating too—it wasn’t just there as a backdrop but felt so integrated into the story that you wanted to learn more and more about it. And those chapter title designs? Such a brilliant touch. It added that extra bit of flair and personality to the whole experience.

And Avy! I was completely convinced she was gearing up for a betrayal. What a twist to find out she wasn’t. It’s that kind of clever writing that keeps you on edge, questioning everything. Frustrating but in the absolute best way.

Now, the real heartbreak—why did it have to end? It’s that bittersweet feeling of not wanting to let go of something so magical. Honestly, this is the kind of book that sits with you for days after you’ve closed it.

So here’s a thought—if Prouse decides to explore more about the realms in A Nameless Oath in any way, shape, or form, I am here for it! I reckon they could all easily carry their own story!

Maybe 4.5 stars. Not as good as the first m, but still an excellent ending to a good fantasy duology. Glad the series wasn’t drawn out into like 4 or 5 books it was the perfect length. This book had some more spice than the first. Battle was short but good story going up to the battle

Blurb: Felicity, grappling with newfound rank and fragmented memories, seeks answers about her past while protecting the heartstones that sustain the realms. Partnering with Alarian on a dangerous mission, she’s unaware he can sense her emotions, complicating their strained dynamic. As a traitor queen weaves a deadly plot tied to Felicity’s hidden history, Felicity must uncover the truth—one that could shatter her world.

Tropes:
💕 Multi-POV
❤️ Slow-burn romance
💕 He fell first
🌶️ Spice
❤️ One bed
💕 Banter
❤️ Magical realms
💕 Secrets
❤️ Trauma
💕 Hurt/ comfort

My Thoughts

As I’ve told her myself, G.W. Prouse is the queen of revelations. She’s also an expert at injecting feeling into every page.

That worked well for this book, which distinguishes itself from book 1 by focusing on the emotional aftermath of the previous book’s events while the characters try to foil an evil plot.

Another great thing about ANO is that we get to revisit a number of characters we first met in “A Nameless Curse”, and also get to know Alarian better with the introduction of a couple of new faces.

There are 2 particular scenes from “A Nameless Oath” which I don’t think I’ll be able to get out of my head for a very long time. How the characters cried… How they sacrificed for the ones they love… I can’t say any more without spoiling ANO for those interested in reading the series, but trust me— they will hurt you. In the best and most profound way.

Highly recommend this series and this book ❤️

First of all, this book really could have used some editing. There were quite a few typos throughout. I’ve definitely seen worse, so it wasn’t a dealbreaker—but it was noticeable.

What bothered me more was the dialogue. There were many moments where it wasn’t clear who was speaking, which is something I’ve never really experienced in a book before. It got frustrating at times because I had to reread scenes multiple times, and even then I still wasn’t always sure who was talking. That pulled me out of the story more than once.

The pacing was another issue for me. The book felt very slow and dragging, and it often seemed like I was barely making any progress while reading.

That said, the book itself wasn’t bad. I genuinely liked the story. There were a lot of twists and “aha!” moments, and several full-circle revelations where things finally made sense by the end. Those moments were very satisfying.

I was especially sad about their father’s sacrifice—particularly because they had just gotten him back after so many years. That part definitely hit emotionally.

Felicity frustrated me at times. She made her relationship with Alarian feel unnecessarily complicated and difficult. On the other hand, I absolutely adored Alarian. He’s incredibly endearing, and the way he loves Felicity is honestly beautiful.

Overall, while the technical issues and pacing held this book back for me, the story and characters still gave me enough to enjoy and stay invested.

Okay I was nervous going into this series I’ll be totally honest. I liked book one and was stoked to dive into this! It took me a while to get used to the third person thing because it’s not my vibe, but I did absolutely enjoy this duology. It was a bit confusing in this book because there was like a LOT of characters and places and so it was kinda hard to keep track of everything, but honestly regardless I still vibed with the plot!

The slow burn was SLOW YOU GUYS. Like slow slow. I stg I was almost dead by the time it finally happened but honestly I’m such a sucker for fated mates and I just can’t STOP until the freaking bond happens idk why I’m like this. Also I loved the MC’s and the found (and actual) family vibes, the characters really grew on me 😍

This was a slow read for me just because of the writing style (it’s not bad it’s just not my norm) but there was actually a lot of typos and grammatical errors and stuff that low key I think her editors let her down in that aspect!! But despite the editing issues I actually liked these books and was happy with how they ended!

A Nameless Oath is everything you loved about A Nameless Curse and more!

GW Prouse masterfully weaves political intrigue with swoon-worthy romance, and I was hooked from start to finish. Felicity’s journey to uncover her past is both compelling and heart-wrenching.

I was completely drawn in by the vibrant world-building, with lots of secrets and betrayals to go around as our characters ventured through the realms. Felicity and Alarian have absolutely electric chemistry, and it was so satisfying to see the slow-burn romance of the first book come to fruition 😍😍😍

If you're looking for a captivating adventure with characters that jump off the page, dive into The Realms Curse duology—you won't be disappointed!

Characters 5/5
World building 3/5 I felt thrown into the world without much explanation, I felt that with the first book as well.
Enemies to lovers 4.5/5
This book could be easily made into two other books making the Realms Curse a trilogy, not duology. And GW Prouse should change the editor, there was a lot of errors and typos, repeated sentences that could be put in different words.
I loved the characters arcs tho! Felicity changed from heartless, emotionless assassin to feeling everything princess. I liked that.
There were some povs Id love to see, Alarian's pov of his trial, how Felicity's letter changed everything.
Also, didn't they get a gift from magic after the bond snapped into place for both of them?

This was the best way to wrap up Felicity and Alarian’s story. I have been on a roller coaster of emotions throughout this book and I’ve enjoyed every step of the way. I loved the slow burn FINALLY burning bright, the fun spice scenes, and the intense battle - I haven’t felt that anxious about a battle sequence since ACOWAR! This duology will always be one of my favorites and the bonus epilogue was the cherry on top. Thank you for letting me be an early reader!

I was sucked into everything that happened until the very end. The secrets and the intrigue held on until the end of the book. I loved seeing how Felicity grew in the book and learned to embrace all her feelings. Alarian grew so much in this story and overcame his shame and guilt for his past. I loved seeing Felicity and Alarian come together and learned to be stronger together. There is more spice in this book and the slow burn was slow burning.

Loved the conclusion to the Realms Curse Duology. After a very slow burn in book one, A Nameless Oath gives us what we are looking for. I loved the character building and “seeing” other parts of the continent. There were some unexpected twists and turns that I will not spoil for new readers. Enjoy the adventure with Felicity and family.

Plot 4/5, but the typos are grating

The storyline and characters were quite enjoyable, but the editing wasn’t great. I almost dnf due to all the typos. If you’re someone who gets stuck on grammatical mistakes, this one might not be for you. If you’re someone who has no problem breezing over typos, I say give it a go!
