My Review:
1. No awards received for this book.
2. This book itself states that it is suitable for children 1.5 years old and up.
3. This book has a collection of ten songs along with illustrations of each song on each page. Some songs in the book include 'The Eentsy Weentsy Spider', 'The Wheels on the Bus', 'Old MacDonald Had a Farm', 'Row, Row, Row Your Boat' and much more!
4. I highly enjoy the simplicity of the book. I feel as if the drawings are simple and cute and the content of the book makes it familiar to adults since there are so many common songs in it. I believe children would enjoy the drawings simply because of their simplicity and that they could have fun being silly if their parents were familiar to the content and willing to sing along.
5. One possible in-class use is that students can make their own variation of songs. Since the first song of the book is 'The Wheels on the Bus', it may continue on using different various such as 'The driver on the bus says 'Move on back.'' rather than the wheels on the bus. Older students can make up their own version of the song but still maintain the same repetitive content. Another in-class use is that the class as a whole can pick one song to work on every week and they would be encouraged to practice everyday. Then, if the schools allow it, the students could go around to different classrooms performing the song to others within the school.

10 classic kids songs each with its own illustration.
The fact that each song has a full page illustration gives you child a chance to guess what the song will be.
I have a son who sometimes has trouble paying attention to a story, but will always focus on music. Sing along books are a great way to get him into reading--he loves them.
