While the book is focused more toward middle school teens, Hart makes these Biblical characters relatable and real for everyone. You can easily see yourself in their story and apply their teachings to your life. In fact, I found the majority of these chapters could relate to my own personal life.
This book also encourages you to not only learn more about these characters, but all of the major, and minor, characters of the Bible.
I definitely I wish I had something like this when I was in middle school/high school.
This was a delightful book that highlighted several Biblical teenagers. The author shared personal stories and tied them to some incredible Biblical figures, making them relatable to today’s teens. The questions at the end of each chapter offer great discussion topics. These familiar Biblical figures will be seen in a different light and teens may be surprised by the lessons they can learn from these stories.
Bought this for some high schoolers and wanted to read it first. More geared toward middle school but such a great read. Each chapter prompts you to open your Bible and read sections, with Hart providing context and commentary before and after the prompting. The reflection questions were wonderful and the illustrations were amazing!
