Unwanted and rejected by society for her plus-sized figure, Nyri flees to the one place where she hopes to find the Demon King’s estate. But peace is the last thing she finds when she catches the eye of Zathrian, the Demon King himself. A powerful and enigmatic ruler, Zathrian is forbidden from fraternizing with humans—but that doesn’t stop him from pursuing Nyri with a dark intensity that leaves her breathless.
Despite the rules that bind them, Zathrian’s seductive charm and dangerous allure make it impossible for Nyri to stay away. As their secret, forbidden romance unfolds, the lines between pleasure and peril blur, and Nyri finds herself in deeper than she ever imagined. With Zathrian’s tail teasing forbidden desires and danger lurking in every shadow, Nyri must decide if the risk of breaking the rules is worth the chance to finally be loved for who she is.
But in a world where disobedience can mean death, will their passion be their downfall, or will Nyri survive the twists and turns of a love that defies all odds?
The Demon King's Pet is a steamy and thrilling tale of forbidden love, where rules are broken, hearts are tested, and a human woman discovers that once she’s tasted the forbidden fruit of a demon, nothing else will ever satisfy her again.
If you are a virgin looking for a quick fix, this short novel will probably do. This is written in first person pov which could be fine if the author didn’t use it as an excuse to eliminate description from practically everything. There is virtually no world building and the most you will be provided is the color of most characters skin, how pointy their ears are, and how many shade from black the color of their hair is. The most description you get of the female lead is that she has brown hair with “extra fat” and some magic identified in the middle of the book that no one can explain and she doesn’t know even remotely how to use by the end of the book. It takes SEVERAL chapters for the male lead to be described entirely and by then they’ve already been intimate at least once. The sex scenes are written in such a way that it gives the impression that either a virgin afraid to say clit or a grown man who doesn’t know where the clit is wrote it and are extremely repetitive in the details that are given. You could make a golf course with the number of plot holes. There is absolutely no true character development as the female lead mentions the farm boy she lost her virginity to several times and still doesn’t love her full figure by the end. Nothing truly happens for the leads to fall in love with each other besides them having sex. Truly the soft core porn of the romance novel world. We didn’t see anything hot or steamy but we guess it was there. Written without any passion for the project and it shows.
I absolutely adored this book, I was scrolling through tiktok and came across a post for this series and thought why not and I'm so glad i did. You have a curvy girl who loves to grow things, a demon king who is lonely. A devastating event sent our FMC to the demon kings castle. She finds herself making friends with a vampire and a healer she was given 3 rules by the master of the house and for good reason. The FMC bumps into the king and breaks rule number 1 on her first day but no one sees. They start meeting in secret and things get spicy. Yall need to go check this series out to find out what happens next
I have finally gotten around to reading book 1 of this series. Having started in the middle of the series, I've read books 3 through 6 and plan to read book 2 next! That aside, reading this books was wonderful! I loved getting to see the love story of characters that I only knew from the later books when the relationship was already established. The love story was great, with ups and down that really made the story flow and become addictive fast! Would definitely recommend!
Had potential to be a good read. However, the plot had way too many holes, and the book was rushed entirely. It's good if you want a quick dirty read, but if you want a well written novel, this isn't the one for you.

What an amazing short read oh how I wish it was just a little longer . I was captivated by the book in so many ways and my emotions where up and down .. it's a spicy book Remember to check triggers But I highly recommend
Was spice in this book but not much of a story line. Why talk about her having magics but nothing comes of it. It you like Desmond smut it’s fine but don’t expect a lot of plot.
Cute story, but I thought it felt rushed and could have had more character and world development. I also didn’t like how every 5 minutes the main character talked about how she couldn’t lose weight and it was this big “failing” of hers.
This was a cute little warm read but I wish it was longer with a little more detail, finishing it left me with some questions to say the least but nothing negative at all!
The slow starts always keep me on edge of what I think should be expecting however it was incredibly wholesome and had more softness than I could have expected. I enjoyed it 🙂
Why mention a ring if you aren't ever going to say what it is for? Why bring in the crow? Overall it wouldn't be a bad story if the author actually explained things.
This is a quick, spicy read. It tells of found family and forbidden love. The overall story is very well written and gets your attention the whole time.
