"Your destiny awaits across the stars," Ell-rom's mother told him. "The seer foretold your future. You will live, and you will thrive, and you will be safe."
The seer's prophecy has come true. Ell-rom and his sister are safe, surrounded by people who care for them and want to help them heal, which is in stark contrast to where they came from. On Anumati, they were considered abominations because of their mixed heritage. As half gods and half Kra-ell, they would have been eradicated if ever discovered.
But even as he clings to that thought like a talisman against the darkness, he can't shake the lingering sense of unease, the feeling that something lurked in the shadows of his past, something dark and dangerous that is much worse than his inability to tolerate the taste of blood.
What is it about him and his sister that he is not supposed to let anyone see?

The prince is going through rehab and improving every day. While the relationship between him and Jasmine is growing deeper. But then Ell-rom has a dream that shows him something about himself that he hopes isn’t true. He has other concerns that could further complicate his relationship with Jasmine. How will this affect the clan? What will happen when his sister wakes up? Meanwhile the issues in the village are still a mystery. And could there be a couple of dormants that could find a true love mate? I can’t wait to find out more.

As much as I love this series, this book was boring at best. Let’s sit by the bed and wait for him to get stronger. Let’s sit by the bed and wait and more and more of the same. Sorry but usually I’m page turning to see where things will lead, with great expectations. This time I was just trying to find something interesting.

Meh
I don't feel like this is really getting anywhere yet. We still get a lot of the writer's religious and political ideologies--which I could do without. I read fiction to escape the ills of the real world; I don't need them invading my "me" time.
I still don't like Jasmine. I wonder when Morelle is gonna wake up and whether she is stronger/more dangerous than Ell-rom...and how she'll feel about Jasmine.
There were a few pretty good parts... and if Ell-rom's dream was an actual memory, then things might get a little dicey!
I'm also wondering what, if anything, Syssi's vision will reveal about Khiann. I still believe that, if Wonder survived in stasis, he did, too.
On to #87.

Elephant in the room! Muscle memory? Adrenaline or just getting stronger by will and determination? What a conundrum! His aversion to blood may mean an aversion to turning Jasmine. Could it have all been conditioning?
What are they really?? And I sincerely hope all the build up doesn't get swept under the rug and forgotten like so many other plots.
Kian is over it and ready to just move to Mars. Poor little son of a DemiGod. Glad Brandon is offering a voice of reason.

exciting new world Gods
This series has had my attention and loyalty from book one. I am a kindle unlimited subscriber and just love when the new book in the series Children of Gods , rolls out. Its technology, love stories , naughty secrets and clans embody familiar themes of real life. Truly mesmerizes , fun to read. All the characters are easy to understand and like. A triumph for a series. Would make a wonderful series on a streaming platform.

Things are developing nicely and I can't wait to see how this all comes together.
I didn't expect to enjoy the ell-rom trilogy as it gets further away from the overall premis of the books, however I've enjoyed getting to know him and seeing the internal conflict and struggles, I suspect this is going to really ramp up and I'm looking forward to seeing how it all come together

The prince's story continues
Jasmine and Ell-rom's romance starts to blossom. We learn more about the prince and watch the start of his recovery. We start to see glimpses that there is more to come where he is concerned. We also witness another possible romance blossom. Can't wait to see what happens next.

I love this series
I hope we end up with at last least 100 volumes of Children of the gods. The story is such a blend of realty and fantasy that you feel hopefull in a world of chaos. I love reading a series that has characters that almost become friends because they are so realistic and heartfelt. I highly recommend this series.

As usual, a fabulous addition to the series abd I cannot wait for the next one. I have nvwrr kept interest I'm a series this long before, but Lucas does an excellent job of simultaneously continuing the overall story arch and keeping it fresh with the indivual love stories. Don't stop on us now, Lucas! We love your writing!

It’s sad to say that I no longer look forward to the next books in this series as long as Jasmine is the main character. I see her “love” as nothing more than obsession and there’s nothing interesting about obsession. I only finished to keep up with the other characters that I’ve come to know and love. I can only hope that her storyline ends soon and that her character decreases in importance.

Isabella Has DONE IT AGAIN! WOW.😯. Such Mystery & Passion! I read each page as if I couldn't breathe until I did! Gripping on to each moment, needing to discover the next outcome. Simply cannot wait for the next installment!

I am not a big fan of Jasmine so far. She seems very wishy-washy. And the whole virgin priest plotline is strange. Can we go back to fighting the Doomers? I mostly keep reading because I like the older characters.

Dark Awakening
Interesting new plots evolving with the Jasmine and her prince. She is definitely a gem and is a wonderful caretaker, helping her mate grow into his own persona. Being in hibernation for so long has some very special and important issues.

The series that never ends
If you like paranormal reading this series is terrific. It never ends because the story just keeps going on with new characters and new storylines for those characters while always getting a glimpse of our old friends.

One More Amazing Episode
I have not stopped reading aan episode since I picked these books up. I can't wait to read what's next. I love each character and Ell-Rom has me on the edge of my seat. Anticipating what and who he will really turn out to be. Hurry up October :-)

I love this book series. I have read this book series 4 times and I can’t get enough. This new book has so much back story in to ELL-ROM life. I can’t wait for the new book to come out. This is a must read!
