Mundane Muses: Inspired By Rats

Rate this book
The common is often swept aside, overlooked, and unnoticed. As we lose appreciation for the simplicity of creation, we stop finding joy in most of what life offers.

In their debut poetry collection, twin brothers Kaden and Kendall Belcher find endless inspiration in one of nature’s most controversial the rat.

Join the brothers as their exploration of rats creates a surprising collection of poetry that will make you laugh, cry, and experience at least four other emotions. The wide range of poetic themes will force you to rethink what society deems a worthy muse.

What Kaden and Kendall lack in technical training, they make up for with a single-minded obsession in bringing rats to the everyday life of normal people. What started as a bonding exercise between brothers has blossomed into the start of a collection of poems that will tune your heart to the happenings of life all around us. And this is just the beginning.

If I could give a book more than 5 stars, Mundane Muses would easily get 10. Rat poetry is something I think everyone needs in their life and this book delivers in full. This is a fantastic debut by two very talented poets!

I'm most definitely biased, but I love this collection of poetry! It hits a wide range of emotions with the unlikeliest muse: the rat! This was a super fun project to do with Kendall, and we both grew immensely as poets (especially Kendall, he's far more talented than me). I hope everyone who picks it up enjoys it or at least look at the mundane around them a little bit differently.
