Good book about Queen Victoria. Lots of sources were used to write this book. It was nice to see that she really did try to live out her faith while she ruled Great Britain but it was disappointed that she intentionally overlooked Rudyard Kipling for Poet Laureate because of his poem The Widow at Windsor. Victoria truly loved Albert and the world knew she mourned for him throughout the remainder of her life. I was really touched by the preamble to her will. "I die in peach with all fully aware of my many faults, relying with confidence on the love, mercy and goodness of my Heavenly Father and His Blessed Son and earnestly trusting to be reunited..." (naming her family members).
I read this book a long time ago, but I still remember that it had a profound effect on me. I really enjoyed this factual account of Queen Victoria's life. Her coming to the throne was no accident, but clearly orgastrated by God. A brilliant read.
