A sexy spy and an elite assassin enter into the world’s sweetest, deadliest marriage of convenience!
Neneko is a spy blessed with catlike charms. Her mission? Seduce the ace assassin of a rival organization and expose his weaknesses. The problem? She’s blown her cover before learning a thing! But rather than dispose of her, the target makes an indecent marry him and take their relationship to the next level, since he can’t keep his hands off her body! Is his clinginess an act, or could there be genuine love behind his murderous gaze?!
He is all-in and she is confused. Also, who is going to believe they are married and not sleeping together??? Idk, I like the art (although why does she have cat ears all the time?) and the 'orange cat x cuddly Doberman' energy is really cute.
A fun and flirty read! Love the leads dynamic with each other. Usually when Square Enix releases a series, it turns into a favorite of mine! I’m looking forward to the next volume.
Assassin and Cinderella pairs a spy and an assassin in a "Mr and Mrs Smith" style romance. The titular Cinderella is the buxom spy Neneko, whose soft curves and cute smile hide a cold spy. The titular assassin is tall, dark, handsome, and (supposedly) obsessed with Neneko, to the point that he proposed a fake marriage to keep her with him, even though he knows Neneko is a spy. He's a classic shadow daddy whose only soft spot is Neneko.
The manga focuses its art on showcasing how good this pair looks together - her with generous cleavage pressed against his lean abs and him with large hands wrapped possessively around her. I'm not a fan of disproportionately large hands though, so I'm taken out of some of their sexier poses by my nonplussed reaction to their exaggerated proportions. While they do pose provocactively, this is not an ecchi manga (so far), and the couple stops at some light kissing and innuendos. I don't know if the series will continue with more explicit scenes in the future.
Plot-wise, this volume is mostly setup, and it's unclear if future chapters will cover longer story arcs or if this series will stick to episodic vingettes.
It was a cute read overall, but I am not excited to read more.
This is an interesting twist with the title, and in some ways reminds me of Spy x Family with the marriage of convenience with a spy and an assassin, except this couple is aware of their alternate lives and at least in Omi's case, is determined to keep their relationship and life. For such a "cold" assassin, he seems rather enamored with Neneko, who is drawn to him, concerned about him, and also trying to stay loyal at the same time - not an easy feat at the moment. Omi does have some points though when he takes care of her and proves his word. It will be interesting to see how this relationship evolves, if it continues to.

The author’s note says they strove to create a story with a fluffy girl and a grim boy — and we got just that. Fluffy kitty girl spy meets loyal pouty puppy assassin, and he’s definitely smitten. She’s supposed to be spying on him, but he quickly lets her know that he’s onto her, and he’s definitely OK with it, even offers up intel on himself to keep her alive, and then a sham of a marriage for her protect and his own mutual benefit! Lots of flirting, boobaliciousness, and sexy cuddles as she works out her loyalties and how to feel about her target. This one is definitely for the adult readers.
That feeling of finding something by yourself ❤️🔥❤️🔥❤️🔥
I literally stumble upon the artist on Instagram and saw she was writing/illustrating this manga, and it was a instant pickup because the ART IS GORGEOUSSSS
plus my favorite trope is two characters that are romantic involve that have two dramatically/opposing aesthetics 🫣🫣🫣
It’s a very cute read! Definitely will be keeping up with this! The characters are not the most depth (who knows maybe that will change!) but it’s a cute read, the romantic scene are very cute and hot!!!
Hmmmm Visually the art is beautiful and very eye catching. The story seems… off. The beginning feels like your being dropped into the middle of the story with no backstory or history, they’ve been dating for months but never even kissed before?! Everything right out the bat was extremely quickly paced. Not sure exactly where the story is going to go just based off this first volume but I’ll be grabbing volume two if only out of sheer curiosity and love of this drawing style.

I like the story premise a lot. think it's a cute idea. but the art is kinda off to me. IDK what it is. some panels just look unfinished which is so odd to me. also just seems like they wanna make furries or something 😂 she spends more time as a partial cat than not. tho I do like the cat/dog dynamic, it's just funny to me how much she's drawn with ears and a tail but so far the story itself is fun.
This was a really nice and fun read! An assassin falls in love with an enemy spy. Some moments were really cute (biased tho) and I totally recommend reading it. It's not smut so nothing weird is visible there. The art for this manga is amazing and wonderful and everyone in this story is a hot character xD
hes so whipped and i love that. buddy doesnt even gaf that shes a spy.
but her being a spy is so unrealistic because she SUCKS soooo bad at it. like no joke. its just a bunch of her being cute and a ditz and him being all ur so cute i love you yadda yadda bs.
..but the art was good so that makes up for it but prolly wont continue.
I am not here for plot, I see pretty smol girl with brooding, handsome guy who is WHIPPEDD!! for her. Wish it was problematic to soothe my soul but Omi's overwhelming affection towards Neneko is too cute. She is also just ditzy and soft and cute and awawawaowoaowoawoaw C U T E !!! No thoughts, head empty, what plot? don't care. It gives me fluffy feelings and that's all I care about.
I wouldn’t say this was literary masterpiece but it was a cute read. Their dynamic is so silly and they definitely made the girl Dopey EVEN though she is a so called assassin. The main guy character is a mystery but he is obsessed with the main character. I don’t think i will continue the series BUT i liked it.
both the plot and the body proportions are absolutely ridiculous, but I'm loving this so far. it's scratching the trashy drama manga itch that yakuza fiance used to. over-the-top and so silly, but fun!!

I don't think there is much to this plot. She is a spy sent to discover an assassin's secrets but he is in love with her and gets her to marry him. The art is pretty and it read very fast. I liked it.
This was an unexpectedly cute read. It doesn't take itself seriously at all, and I love that. Is it the best concept in the world? No. But she has no clue who these people are, or what to expect, so it makes her situation hilarious. Why is she so awful at her job?
She dynamic is very cute and they compliment eachother very well. only thing is that the girl gets found out way to easily and others suspect her to much it's hard to believe she is an actual spy. That's more of a nit pick though, and if you don't mind that it's a very cute read.

Pure and simply eye candy. We’ll see if there’s more of a plot down the line, but it’s definitely second fiddle to the suggestive situations and lovey-dovey feelings of the main characters
