Her

"Chaos is his second name… or his fourth. Honestly, I’ve lost count.
The more his paint washes off, the more secrets come out too. But then how could I have known that one of those secrets would have the power to change my destiny forever?
My life was not exactly a fairy tale, nor did I ever expect it to be. However, the way things were before him, I had never expected it to be a nightmare either."

Him

"Fever is her second name… or her fourth. Honestly, I don’t even remember how many names I’ve given her.
The more I chase her, the more she slips away. How could I have ever known that entrapping her would be so easy; that I always had it in me to change her destiny.
But when the demons from my past emerge, my entire game topples. Because this time, they aren’t hunting me. They’re hunting her."

I have my jaws dropped!!! Its so fun, spicy 🌶️🌶️🌶️ and intriguing... kept me hooked throughout.
Absolutely thrilling! If you're a fan of dark romance, crime, and heart-pounding thrillers, this book is an absolute must-read. It has everything you could ever crave in this genre—obsession, twisted morals, and high-stakes crime. For an indie author to deliver such a spellbinding and immersive experience is nothing short of extraordinary. I’m eagerly awaiting Book Two!!

Okay… I don’t even know where to start. This book completely messed me up: in the best way possible. I thought it would be a regular dark romance, but it’s so much more than that. It’s twisted, emotional, obsessive, and honestly kind of beautiful in its own dark way.
The best part? The story is terrifying and heartbreaking all at once. And the FMC… she’s sweet, lost, and trying to hold it together throughout the story!! The book is fast, intense, and full of surprises. The side characters each bring something unique. The second half had me losing my mind, and that ending… I swear my heart just stopped. It’s dark, spicy and emotional, all at once!!!! Please check the trigger warnings, but if you love dark romances and stories that grab you and don’t let go - this one’s it.

Neyha, you’ve created something unforgettable. Thank you for this oneee!

If you loooove dark romance this book is everything
ohhh my god i was hooked from the start and the it ended on a cliffhanger i knew it was gonna end on a cliffhanger but i didn't expected that my mind is blown.

The pub scene 🥵 the spice was on another level i loved it.

Nakul waited 10 years and now he is like 3 different persons to disha and she is just taking everything very good a stranger encounter in the pub a stalker and a really good friend as it is.
Ps i would have been so fu*king confused if i were disha 🤣

Please please please read the trigger list and those who just see them as a shopping list welcome and enjoy.

Spice 🌶 🌶 🌶

**Book 1: Hiding from Her**

He is her chaos. She is his fever.

This book had me bamboozled. I never thought I'd read such a book by an Indian author.

**⚠️ Please read the trigger warnings carefully before diving into the book. ⚠️**

This book will serve you the perfect amount of spiciness and darkness with unhinged characters.

I won't reveal their names, but I'll use their aliases.

Scorpio, Black, Ace, Hades, and their alligators... I loved "Cookie" too. He was a pet... Crocodile... oh god 😈😈

It all starts with a mere glimpse of a girl Scorpio catches one day, and that's it. He becomes obsessed and possessed by her face and her... He wants her; no, he needs her.

But this book is more than just a masked man obsessing over a girl. The more I delved into the story, I realized it's not a simple stalker romance book.
The FMC, muffin, she is sweet and virginal, and she has fantasies, but she always wants to be a goody-goody girl. She came to another city for work and was living in an apartment with a beautiful mirror. Mirror Mirror, tell me this, and guess what the Mirror answers as well, but in text... who is Mirror?

She is stuck and knows it. She is being watched and played.
But the Scorpio was loyal; he has one rule - She lives, I live. She dies, I die.
He will do anything to save her, and he did. Every kill was personal.

I loved how the story turned in the second half, and I have a list of people who deserve to be gone. The major incidents occur here... The revelations, the problems, the villains... OMFG...

The introduction of King, Maya, and Vuk... oh god, I was so, so, soooo agitated, and I wanted to go into the book and give justice.

The ending in this was heart-wrenching, and the point where she is alive but her soul... is not... I cried, and it's a cliffhanger...

There was so much more to it. The gang that Scorpio had, the missions they pursued, and the main goal, Queen Bee.

✨✨✨ Hiding from Her by Neyha (@authorneyha), is her debut novel and the first book in her Hide-n-Seek series. ✨✨✨

Dedication:
He is her Chaos. She is his fever.

Tropes:
🖤 Stalking
🖤 Primal Play
🖤 Secret Identity
🖤 Touch her and ☠️
🖤 🩸play
🖤 Dark past
🖤 Obsession
🖤 Manipulation & lies
🖤 Psychopath x Good girl

Neyha's debut novel, Hiding from Her, is an emotional rollercoaster that will leave you breathless. From the very first page, I was captivated by the intense chemistry between the characters and the gripping storyline.

Disha is a well-educated woman who can't believe she should throw all her achievements away for an arranged marriage. Her life takes an unexpected turn when she meets Nakul, a man with a mysterious past and also her stalker seems to be back - again. Nakul is a complex and enigmatic character, haunted by his demons and driven by a fierce desire to protect Disha at all costs.

The author masterfully weaves a tale of love, secrets, and destiny, keeping readers on the edge of their seats. The emotional depth of the characters and the twists and turns in the plot made me laugh, cry, and gasp in astonishment. Neyha's writing is vivid and expressive, painting a picture of a world where chaos and fever intertwine, and where love has the power to change destinies.

While the book is such a good read, it does need some editing, which Neyha is aware of. Despite this, Hiding from Her is a must-read for fans of dark romance and anyone looking for a story that will tug at their heartstrings and leave them yearning for more.

Quotes:
Slowly undoing his button and zipper, I release a demon of a shaft. It’s more inhuman up close... No way that’s fitting anywhere inside me.

And I agree, I don’t own my body anymore. A single tear finds its way down my cheeks to right where my heart is. The one that’s not mine. My heart, my body and my soul. Only his. I surrender!

God! The sight before me is shooting me straight to the stars. Needy her is just as appetizing as the scared version of her.

"You’ll fall in love with the mask and the nakedness, both at once. And then, you’ll watch yourself throw all of those innocent things you own in the inferno that you’ve created inside me. You’ll burn them to be with me. I promise you, my sweet muffin."

Do you like stories with a twist? This dark romance, crime, and thriller will have you on your toes. It definitely gave off a little bit of haunting adeline and a couple other books. However less gore. What do you do when you have a stalker that's been around for 10 years? Move? Start a new life? Finally start to feel normal and boom.. $hit hits the fan. This book does end on a cliff hanger leaving The readers wanting more from this series.
I enjoyed this book and would recommend to those who want to read a book KIND of similar to haunting Adeline. Less brutal.. in bed haha but still wild. Dark. Explicit. 18+. Beware is trigger warnings such as

Blôod play
SA
Abuse
Being drugged
And more.

Awesome loved it!! If you’re a fan of dark romance, crime n thriller then this book is for you.
This book has everything you'd want in this genre. Obsession, bent morals, crime.
The storyline was great. The plot twists and the spice were on another level. I held my breath through to the end of the story, where it left on a cliff hanger.
The chemistry between Disha and Nakul esp. the one in the pub was superb. Divit and Nakul duo is out of the world, looking forward for more of Divit.
Waiting for the book two eagerly.

A dark romance with some desi tadka..
i don't really like reading dark romance as it makes me uncomfortable but i like reading it when the story it has is quite interesting.
The yearning the mmc had is very unrealistic, like i don't think man in real will ever do anything like that.
I can't wait to read the book 2 in this series...

🌶🌶🌶🌶

Let me just say this: Hiding from Her is not for the faint of heart. This book is DARK. It’s messy, it’s twisted, and it’s completely addictive.

TROPES:
🔪 Stalking
🔥 Primal Play
💔 Dark Secrets
🩸 Blood Play
🫀 Obsession
🔎 Disguise
🗡️ Touch Her and You Die
🖤 Dual POV
⛓️ Fast Burn

The chemistry between the leads is 🥵 it’s raw, messy, and charged with an intensity that feels almost feral. He’s completely unhinged (in the most magnetic way possible), and she’s caught in the chaos, trying to figure out her next move and herself. It’s one wild, dangerous ride.

Now, the honesty, it’s LONG, and some parts felt slower But then I would be hit with a twist or an insane moment that pulled me right back in.

If I had to sum up Hiding from Her in one word? INTENSE. This book grabs you by the throat (figuratively…and maybe literally 😏) and doesn’t let go. It’s dark, twisted, and I couldn’t stop reading.

⚠️ Important: If you’re new to dark romance, CHECK THE TRIGGERS. Your mental health is more important than any book, so read responsibly.

I loved this book so much!! I can wait for the next book. My favorite character is definitely Nakul, he is one of those characters that’s are so unhinged that they’re funny. No other word for this book! Totally action packed, exciting and absolutely thrilling! If you're a fan of dark romance, crime, and heart-pounding thrillers, "Hiding from Her" is an absolute must-read. This book delivers everything you could crave in the genre—obsession, twisted morals, and high-stakes crime. The storyline is truly spectacular , with each plot twist delivering an even greater impact, keeping me on the edge of my seat and holding my breath right up to the jaw-dropping cliffhanger. As for the romance, it’s sizzling and intense, taking the excitement to a whole new level.

The chemistry between the FMC and MMC is electric, and Nakul's stalking skills are portrayed with a chilling 11/10 accuracy. The dynamic duo of Divit and Nakul stands out brilliantly, their partnership and friendship blending crafty and charisma in a way that leaves you wanting for more. Divit's character genuinely stands out, and I can't wait to see more of him in the book two.

I thoroughly enjoyed reading every bit of this book and would recommend it to all my fellow dark romance readers. It's less brutal in the bedroom as compared to few other books in this genre but still quite wild, dark, sexy, full of surprises and explicit. Suitable for readers 18+. Honestly didn't expect such a masterpiece in this dark-romance genre from an indie author. It's nothing short of extraordinary. I'm eagerly awaiting Book Two. But def be aware of trigger warning like:

I've always been a sucker for the stalking trope, and the fact that Nakul stalked her for 10 years, still completely obsessed and infatuated with her, made me melt into a puddle.

One word to describe Nakul? Magnetic. He’s cheeky, hot as hell, dominant, and a master of manipulation—everything about him pulls you in, whether you want it or not.

And Disha? Oh, the way she hates to love and loves to hate Nakul had me gripping my sanity. Her back-and-forth emotions kept me on my toes the entire time. I couldn’t look away, even when it drove me insane in the best way possible.

What Disha endured was heart-wrenching. I cried for her, felt her pain, and wanted to protect her. But the way this story ends? It’s something else. The shift in her left me itching to know what’s next. What kind of monster will our innocent FMC—who is no longer so innocent—become?

This book is packed with a dynamic storyline that keeps you hooked with every chapter. If you’re looking for an obsessive MMC, a rollercoaster of emotions, and a story that’ll have you on edge, this one is it.

I'm sorry Neyha, it's ridiculous how I struggled even at page 5. Please check grammar and spellings. Even your graphics for your advertising. Bullys? Change Y to I and add es. Maybe it's not your first language, but it should not be a reason. Many readers get put off with this. If you want to write, LEARN first.

Guy I don’t even know how to start. I just finished Hiding From Her and I’m shook. Like, completely shook. I thought I was picking up another dark romance to casually read but this? This was a whole emotional rollercoaster I was NOT ready for.

Disha Saxena. This girl I relate to her so much. She’s normal, just wants a simple life, a good job, happy family, the little joys. But then there’s Nakul. Looking her for 10yr. I found him to be scary and obsessed but I can’t stop thinking about him. You hate him, but somehow you get him too. He’s the kind of character you love to hate but also kind of understand!!?

Beaware! The story here is dark & twisted. And I mean it in the best way. Some scenes I literally had to put the book down and breathe. My heart was racing, I was gasping, smiling, crying a little like how is one book doing all of this to me?! The dual POV HER and HIM is chef’s kiss. You see Disha’s fear, her strength, her confusion. And then Nakul’s side oh boy, his obsession, his darkness, his brokenness… I couldn’t handle it sometimes.

The chemistry is insane. Electric. Terrifying. And the spice? Perfectly timed. You feel it, but it’s not just there for shock value it makes sense in the story. Honestly, this book isn’t for the light hearted. It’s dark & intense in the best way. I had a mix of emotions and stayed awake because I couldn’t put it down.

What I loved
Disha- so real, strong, relatable.
Nakul- complex, dark, unforgettable.
Dual POV- makes it addictive.
The tension here… OMG, the tension!

If you looking for Desi romance, Dark romance, obsessive heroes and stories that will make you thinking about the characters, THIS is your book. I swear, it messed me up in the best way.

Broken soul

This story is indeed very dark with big trigger warnings, so please read them before reading the book, they are not to take lightly on.

The story itself is very special, a young woman getting a stalker after just one glance, and he is as twisted and persistant as they come. Their relationship is very hard to understand, and it does not really make sense. She is just trying to live a normal life, and he is just trying to make her his, the end of this book is not what anyone of them thought would ever happen.

I give this book 2 stars, because even though the story in itself is really good, though it is darker then the blackest hole, there were too many things that brought the book down. Through out the book there are so many misspellings that it interupts the flow of the story and in some places the description was lacking to understand what was going on. Already in the beginning there was one scene where it seem like a piece was missing, i had to read it several times and it just didnt make sense. Kind of like describing how to bake a cake and all of the sudden talk about how beautiful the beach is...
And the superman effect was kind of miss placed, by just changing the color of the eyes, it doesnt chance the whole appearance of a person like superman with his glasses.

But i would like to give Credit to the author for writing the really rough and dark scenes without the gory details, it made it easier to digest otherwised i would have had to DNF the book.

If you have issues with any of the trigger warnings, DO NOT read the book, as the author write; your mental health is more important. If you like really dark books and have no issues like I had, this might be the book for you.

Plot twist so wild I couldn't sleep the whole night. Yes you heard me right, the plot twist guys you have to read this book for the plot twists.

I don't even have the words to describe this book. Cuz this left me speechless in ways I couldn't even think of. Wdym a book can leave you so obsessed that you have to think about it the whole night? And even dreaming of the MMC in the middle of the night.

Wild seriously the wildest ride I've ever been on. I last read a book this wild in 2023 and that was Cat and mouse duet.

Let me tell you guys This book isn't for the lightHearted, neither is the MMc your usual dark, morally grey hero, no he is the definition of Lucifer himself.

This book in all aspects left me breathless and staring at my wall at 2 am thinking what did I just read.

The story is not normal, nothing was normal in the book. But... A very normal girl, going to her school not knowing the guy who dropped his sister to the school on his bike was watching the innocent being giggling with her friends.

Disha Saxena, just wanted to live a normal life, get a good paying job, make her family proud, celebrate special things with her families, her only safe place.

But when she receives a luxurious place to live at a lower rent, does it sound fishy? But who cares when u have a huge bathtub and a luxurious room.

But what she didn't know was... Those icy grey eyes... We're still watching her even after ten years.

Because the devil needs his tamer.... And this devil.. Won't give up until he has what he wants.

I didn’t expect to fall for a dark romance. But Hiding From Her didn’t ask—it dragged me in, kicking, screaming, and breathless.

Neyha’s debut is a masterclass in obsession, secrets, and emotional chaos. Disha, a well-educated woman resisting societal expectations, finds herself caught in a decade-long stalker plot that begins in high school and spirals into a world of crime, twisted love, and haunting revelations.

Neyha paints Nakul in vivid, unforgettable strokes—each scene more gripping than the last. Whether he’s unhinged, protective, or dangerously charming, you feel every moment like a scream caught in your throat. The intensity builds fast, and before you know it, you’re reading in one breathless stretch.

But this isn’t just about Disha and Nakul. Neyha’s ensemble cast—Divit, Mira, Jessica, Kraken—aren’t just cameos. They’re catalysts. Divit and Nakul’s dynamic crackles with bromance. Mira and Jessica bring quiet depth. Kraken lingers like a shadow. Each character adds texture to the chaos, making the world feel dangerously alive.

The writing is expressive and immersive with twists that hit like gut punches and cliffhangers that leave you gasping. Even as someone who doesn’t usually reach for dark romance, I couldn’t stop. I read it in one stretch, feeling every emotions fear, surprise, obsession ,laughter, betrayal. And now? I’m counting days for book two.

If you crave romance with teeth, this one bites deep. Just be ready to bleed a little.🔥💥

Woww just wowww🤩

I haven't read Stalker Romance since 2024 & I can say that picking up this book was totally worth it! I devoured it in two-sittings, I loved it, I'm obsessed with it. The moment I read the dedication I knew, I'm in for a treat.

The MMC- Nakul is so damn hottt!🔥 He had his eyes on her since her School days but he maintained his distance from her. After almost a decade he meets her again but this time, he meets her face to face. Their encounter in the temple was so cute. Those bike rides were one of my favourite scenes. He keeps haunting her via texts & watches her doing stuff. #iykyk. The way he gets her every time calls her Muffin....oh my god! He's obsessed with her & wants to mark her as his forever.❤️

The FMC- Mahika is young, beautiful & definitely a strong woman. She leaves her home & lives independently. She has a stalker in her childhood. A stalker with mesmerizing eyes, captivating aura but she was scared of him. Almost a decade passed but Little did she know, she's living under his roof & surveillance. He gets her once again. She fell for Nakul but was enjoying the company of his stalker? Iykyk. I loved that scene🤭 Will she love his stalker as well the way she loves Nakul? She likes it when Nakul pampers her & so did I.❤️

The ending of this book left me speechless. Wasn't expecting such an emotional rollercoaster ride at the end of this book😭 I want to read the next book ASAP!!!! If you like Dark Romance, pick this book right now.

"Hiding from Her" by Neyha, and I'm still reeling from the experience. This book is a masterclass in dark romance, with a stalker plot that spans almost 10 years, starting when the protagonist, Disha, was in high school.

The story is expertly woven, with twists and turns that will keep you on the edge of your seat. Just when you think you know what's going on, Neyha throws in a curveball that will leave you stunned. The characters are complex and multi-dimensional, with Disha being a strong and independent protagonist who's also vulnerable.

One of the things that sets "Hiding from Her" apart from other stalker romances is the way Neyha explores the psychological dynamics of the relationship between Disha and her stalker, Nakshatra(Sounds so ROYAL right?!).

The writing is vivid and expressive, with a keen eye for detail. Neyha's prose is engaging and immersive, making it easy to get lost in the world of the story. The pacing is well-balanced, with a steady build-up of tension and suspense that culminates in a cliffhanger that will leave you breathless.

Overall, "Hiding from Her" is a must-read for fans of dark romance and stalker thrillers. It's a gripping and intense ride that will keep you on the edge of your seat from start to finish. Just be prepared for a cliffhanger that will leave you screaming for more!

Let me honest with you, I went in blindly while reading this book.
I saw the cover, the gorgeous cover and thought yep, I am picking this up right now!
I devoured it in one go because it was just that good and you are telling me that this book is a debut?? Like Neyha I don't know what it is you are adding in this book, but you got to keep going on cause I love it.

This book is dark and not darker than some of the books I read but still dark. I wasn't prepared for certain scenes and they had me gasping from shock like what was that? what did I just read?
But I was hooked from the first chapter. Neyha knew how to keep me occupied with this book.

I really love the chapters are titled HER and HIM, really adds onto the mystery of the book and so I am following the same tone. We have HER, a strong and despicable character who handles challenges better than anyone I know. I wouldn't be able to handle half of the things she goes through. She is really an inspiration to me. HIM, such a complex character that I did take time processing his actions, but then he was engraved into my brain. The first chapter was intense and the ending left me in bits!

I would definitely recommend this book if you like dark books that are worth it till the need because Neyha did not disappoint. I am looking forward to reading the other book in the series.

📚: Hiding from Her (Hide-n-Seek Book 1)
by neyha

The book is gonna be my most favourite dark thyme romance book by indian author because why not it has intense dark romance that doesn’t shy away from exploring the dark side of obsession.

This is first book in the series “Hide-n-Seek” introduces us to Disha and Naksh, two characters bound by a complicated history that starts with an unnerving, long-term stalker dynamic.

The FMC Disha. I personally love her as a Reader because of being so innocent and strong at the same time and about MMC Naksh he is totally unhinged obsessive golden retriever for sure I like his character too (I'm scared though because why not..)

The relationship between Disha and Naksh is not romanticized in a simplistic way instead, it's the love between protection and possession. The pacing is relentless, building a pervasive sense of suspense as Naksh closes in on Disha, the obsession and love for her.

The book culminates in a heart-stopping cliffhanger that perfectly positions the reader for the next Book. Character-driven dark romance that prioritizes psychological tension and a morally grey male lead will find Hiding from Her to be a compelling and addictive read.

It's my first time reading a Dark and obsessive book by indian author and I freaking love it

If we talk about our main characters both were damnnn amazing and those title of the chapters like him and her was soooo cool with that rose and scorpio (it does homd a meaning in book guys) . Plus the spice was top notch . I am sooooo happy this book is in my "not so sane reads" part hehehe

Overall, i am sooo glad I was part of booktour thank you soooo much and nehya i am eagerly waiting to read other books of yours .

"Hiding From Her" by Neyha is one hell of a book I say, it is as dark as it gets to a point it even makes you suffocate. Say your stalker has been protecting you from all the bad guys, would you still consider him bad? Even after he does things to you, things you'd rather not talk about? Imagine how scary it would be if someone knows when you sit, eat, sleep or who you talk to, imagine being watched 24x7 how creepy does that sound?

While she was living her life as normal as she could, he came creating havoc in her life. A drug dealer, and a place where women were treated like slaves at best, how did she end up here? Would she ever forgive the man she came to love?

I am not a romance fan but this book has DARK in it so I went ahead and read it, it blew my mind honestly. Remember the Netflix series "YOU" that we all loved, well this book attracts you like that series and it's own charming way.

The author's way of putting the book together is absolutely smart, luring her readers in ways they couldn't put down the book, now I am eagerly waiting for the next book. A must read if you love dark romance, but for those with a soft heart I'd recommend not to.

The theme of "hidden identity and true self" runs through the book. No one is what they first appear :). Even the title, "Hiding from Her," suggests that everyone has something to hide.
Disha starts out on familiar ground which is basically an intelligent, sweet independent woman being forced in a traditional arranged marriage. She is not AT ALL thrilled about giving up her career and autonomy lol, but her "life takes an unexpected turn" when her fiancé's world collides with a dark secret. Soon, the plot shifts into thriller territory
The narrative is dual first-person (we get Disha's voice and
"Chaos"'s voice), so we see how each reacts to the same events very differently. This builds tension, for example, Disha thinks about the many secrets his "paint washes off" and how she never expected her life to become a nightmare, while he muses about "entrapping her"
One thing I noticed about the writing style was that it was visceral and urgent. The tone is tense and you CAN legit feel the "stormy and moody" vibe on every page. The pacing is fast, short chapters and cliffhanger ending scenes made it feel like a psychological thriller

OK, i cannot speak enough about this book. It was SO GOOD. Coming from someone who's an avid reader of dark romance, this book was PEAKK, THE STANDARD. From the characters, to the plot and language, I LOVED IT.
hehe let's move on to the 3 heads of it now!
1. Language: I am so happy to see how simple yet interesting the language was. It was the perfect blend of simplicity (it was very easy to understand the book and Literally I finished it in A DAY) plus, the language, the dialogues, the way the portray and express the characters was WOW.
2. Plot: Hehe, no spoilers, but the plot?? Oh you'll be giggling at one point and crying the next. The plot will keep you HOOKED AND ON YOUR TOES. I cannot say enough about this book. Genuinely it's only a matter of time before this book BREAKS THE INTERNET.
3. Charecters: I LOVED THEMM. All the characters! Honestly? Disha made me feel so soon. Disha as a character was literally MEEE AND don't even get me started on Nakul. THE CHARACTERS are definitely well rounded (something we RARELY see in Dark romance)

Overall, I would give anything to get a chance to read the other 2 parts and A chance to read this book again
I LOVED IT.
