A UFO did, in fact, crash land in the New Mexico desert in the summer of 1947. Quickly intercepted by the US military, the unidentified flying object and its occupants were whisked away to secret installations.

Read in one sitting

Well done novella of the beginnings of a superhero for the real world. I recommended to any superhero or science fiction fans.

Good story; not so well written

I really liked the story. It is a great concept. Typos and grammar made it hard to read. With a good editor, this could be an exciting series.

The story was very interesting and although this was kind of an origin story so it was a bit disjointed and I'm still not sure how the people in the beginning of the story fit into the overall story. MAybe it will be brought together in the later books.

This book is kind of a cross between a light sci-fi and a superhero story so if you are looking for hardcore Sci-fi you will be disappointed.

I think I will continue with the series which is why I gave it 4 stars.

A fun premise about an alien-human being developed for war by the U.S. military. This novella is one a series and has so much promise. The writing and the editing, however, are appalling and continually take the reader out of the story. I would like to read more but unless I find a serious reedit has been completed, I don't know if I can slug my way through another episode.

Should have been a rough first draft

This novella cries out for an editor, serously marred as it is by errors: grammatical, spelling, word choice, mis-quotes, apparently abandoned story arcs, and more. There are scattered and spattered elements of a great story here but the author writes with a tin ear, oblivious to any nuances of language, plot, pacing, or characters .

Definitely liked, but...

I liked it, but it needs some editing. Certain locations were no nonsensical, but the story went well. Binding it to the Roswell alien spaceship crash was interesting, and I may read more of this novella formatted series.

Decent

A decent book not quite a good book but very decent. I do think that the author is not as convercent with military rules as he needed to be to write this but I did enjoy the story anyway.

This is a great start to a new sci-fi series! This book started out slowly, but it was necessary to establish the 'origin' story for the rest of the series.

The narrator did a great job, giving each character their own sound and feel.

Definitely worth checking out if you're into government conspiracies, aliens, Roswell, etc. I'm not particularly into any of those things and I still enjoyed this quite a bit. By the end of the book, I was looking into getting the next one in the series!

I had a difficult time getting into this book. Maybe after my life settles down I will try it again, however I typically have a rule that if the first chapter doesn't sell me usually put them down. I am passing this over to my love to see if he can get into it.

Great book! I was engaged in the story from the very first page! I would recommend this book, but be warned, it is such a great read that it will be over before you know it!
