Ruthless tax collector Reginald Crane rules Raven’s Hollow with an iron fist, exploiting the townsfolk for his own gain. He strikes first and asks questions later, refusing to show mercy to anyone, no matter how little they owe. As the winter winds howl through the snow-covered streets on Christmas Eve, a malevolent force awakens, seeking to teach him a valuable lesson.
Crane is visited by three evil spirits who are more than happy to show him that actions really do have consequences—some that last for eternity.
Awakening on Christmas morning, Crane is paralyzed by fear and guilt. Desperate to escape his gruesome destiny, he scrambles to make amends. Will Crane make a change for the better, or will the vengeful spirits refuse his pleas for mercy just as he did to others? This new take on Dickens’ classic tale “A Christmas Carol” will have you turning the pages and checking the shadows…
A deliciously macabre retelling of a Christmas Carol. When Reginald Crane is visited by his three spirits, they are not as benign as his predecessor's were. Reginald's visitors are far darker than he himself, but still may offer him a way out of his well deserved future. But will he, can he, wholeheartedly take it? This is a delightful read for those who listen for the bumps in the night and revel in the shiver of fear they bring. I received a free copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review.

Some people never learn. Maybe because they have no way of knowing what they may have,to face. Maybe because they like the way they are and don't WANT to change. But in the end - some people never learn.
