Checking From Behind

Rate this book

The odds of repeating a once in a lifetime, life altering event are slim to none, but that shouldn’t stop you from trying.

Brad, a professional hockey player, participated in one threesome. A night that made him question everything. But with a country between the other man and only the occasional joint family get together where he sees him, he squashes his feelings down, ignoring them. Something he can no longer do when he’s the recipient of an unexpected trade mid-season to Calgary.

Stephen can’t believe his luck. His best friend is now his roommate. Yet having him there raises the stakes even higher. Revealing how he feels is a giant risk, but first he must figure out what his feelings are.

Caroline resigned herself to being alone after a bitter betrayal by her ex-husband. The introduction of two intriguing men in less than twenty-four hours leaves her reeling but wanting to take a risk. One far outside her comfort zone. But when history appears to repeat itself, she faces an impossible choice…lose now or lose later.

Checking From Behind can sometimes be the best thing ever to happen

Author’s note: This is an MMF romance, where three people discover that love is love and life isn’t worth living if the ones you love aren’t in it.

Brad and Stephen had one unforgettable night. A threesome. Neither has been able to forget what they shared. Both see their best friend in a new way. But distance kept them from questioning these feelings. When Brad's hockey team transferred him midseason to Calgary, Stephen offered him a place to stay, and now both need to figure out what they are actually feeling. Add in Caroline, a sexy librarian who has caught the attention of both men. It's clear they could all be good together but Caroline's past won't allow her to believe, so instead of a HEA, they could all end up with broken hearts.

TB Mann creates wonderful characters in complicated relationships. This story was a dose of reality. It wasn't easy. One minute I was proud of Caroline's growth and bravery, the next I was frustrated. Brad would be my favorite one minute and disappoint me the next. Stephen was the only one I didn't internally scream at. His progress was steady, his humor juvenile, and his optimism noteworthy. He never let me down and I found myself becoming protective of his heart. Luckily, it only got bruised, not broken. And that's why I love these stories. I get so caught up, that I forget I am reading; I am invested. The sexual tension, the angst, and the journey for love are so compelling. Now there's one more brother with a story to tell. One who needs his own dose of reality. Michael.

really good

I loved this book and the characters!
Brad and Stephen really pulled at my heart with their slow burn story. I also appreciated that they accepted who they were without downplaying it
Caroline’s growth throughout the story was also so good, I appreciated what she was going through.
I did think there could’ve been a better resolution with her ex maybe even a confrontation after they stepped into the spotlight, or to even have him confront her when she revealed the divorce to her parents. It felt unfinished. But aside from that, I would recommend this story to those looking for MMF romance!

Good story!

I really like anything this author writes and as always can't wait for the next book! However this book seriously needs proper editing some of the sentences are missing words and some have the wrong word usage. I still have it 5 stars because I loved the storyline and of course the happy ending!

Another amazing story of Brad, Stephen and Caroline this time. Caroline divorced her husband because he was gay and in love with another man. Now in two days she meets Brad and the next Stephen. They didn't know they were falling for the same woman. They however also fall for eachother. What will Caroline do?

I've been following this series from the very beginning and I'm still a huge fan. I love TB Mann and all the characters. This one wasn't my favorite out of the series but I still enjoyed it tremendously. If you liked the books before, you will enjoy this one as well.

Overall: 4.5/5

I received an ARC copy of this book

Brad and Stephen names get mixed throughout the edition I read. There were other editing errors such as spelling and grammatical errors.

If you want hot naked “insta love” then this is not the book for you. The big “nooky” scene isn’t until nearly the end of the book. This in my opinion is a good thing since an MMF relationship requires getting to know the background and character of three people, not just two, hence the need to read more in order to understand the people.

I really like MMF stories. More s3x would have been better, but it was still a sweet story.
