The dragons on Mistveil Island are not your run-of-the-mill kind. They’re something else entirely…
I am stolen away in the middle of the night by a bunch of thugs. It’s clear to me that they are shifters. Their tattoos have the telltale red which makes my blood run cold.
Reds!
One thing is for sure, I’m in a world of trouble. I end up on Mistveil Island, where they discover that they kidnapped the wrong person. I’m so relieved. Surely, they’ll let me go back to Draig, or better yet, they’ll let me go home to the Mainland.
It doesn’t happen. They’re not letting me go. It turns out that women are scarce on this island. They’re keeping me. There’s talk of what they have planned, and it terrifies me.
This story contains mature themes/language.Also, be prepared for a ton of growls, dirty talk, and a hard-won HEA. Hulking, skulking, foul-mouthed, brooding dragons ahead. You were warned!

Red Captive is the sixth exciting book in The Dragon Tributes series.Kidnapped and bullied into something she doesn't want. While each book can be read as a standalone, it’s best to read them in order to fully appreciate all the paranormal alpha goodness and delicious darkness they offer. Nobody can refuse to be a Tribute but nobody knows what exactly a Tribute is. There are many layers to get to be a tribute but each layer is not shared until you pass each test. Now they just have to stay alive. But what if the worst thing is not on this island? I love the adrenaline rush that comes from strong, sexy alpha males in protective mode paired with their mates.
Red Captive is the next book in the Dragon Tributes series❣️ Jen is kidnapped from Draig Island and finds herself on Mistveil. The general not willing to let her go home, after discovering she wasn’t the female they were supposed to capture, he makes a deal with her. She is expected to mate, with a shifter and in return she will receive money which will be sent to her family.
However, a complication in the form of Steel, her sexy guard has things taking an unexpected turn❣️ Loved Steel and Jen and looking forward to getting to know Arctic better in the next book😍 I received an advanced copy and voluntarily leave my honest review.
This was a wonderful addition to series, great story and characters highly recommend Jen finds herself being kidnapped and is horrified when she realised that she had in fact been taken in error and that she had actually been taken by the Reds who are Dragon shifters and who take her from Draig Island and she wakes. Then when they had discovered that the female was not in fact the one, they believed and then had decided that she could not be returned back home, the General was in fact adamant that she mate with one of the dragon shifters and then they would actually send money to her family to help them financially. This is quite a different prospective and it was interesting to read about the ways in which Jen’s feelings had changed in the time that she was on Mistveil and it is also interesting as you read about her interactions with the male dragon shifters who had very different personalities and she started to have feelings of her own where they were concerned that had been built on her actually getting to know them. I thoroughly enjoyed the book and look forward to reading any future publications; keep up all the wonderful writing.
This was a fantastic story from beginning to end! Jen is abducted and ends up on Mistveil to find out they took the wrong woman. The general makes a deal with her and brings in Steel to watch over her. These two are so much fun! My heart went out to them both for varying reasons! They really make an amazing couple and though and I loved watching their relationship evolve! This was a very intriguing read with a lot of drama and betrayal but a very sweet HEA! I love these dragons and can’t wait for Arctic’s story! A very enjoyable story that I highly recommend! This is my honest opinion of this complimentary copy of this book
Previously Jen was abducted from Draig Island & taken by the Red Dragon Shifters to Mistveil. She naively thinks that they’ll let her return home or at the very least return her but they have very few females on Mistveil so have plans for her that are not what she was expecting. Jen’s abduction was in a previous book & there has been some catch up in timeline in the six books we have so far but I think that going forward it will be the same. I loved this perspective as it differs from the other books & gives more insight into the “Reds”. This whole series is a “must read” for me & has evolved so well from the first book. Easy 5 stars!
Jen has been kidnapped and taken through the tunnel to island where the red dragons live. The kidnappers have the wrong person and soon find out. The general is going to make a bargain with Jen but it will take time. Getting tired of waiting she try’s to escape only to be take back and then to behave by being manipulated but now she has a babysitter. And he’s a asshole. Steel just there to do a job make sure not to let her escape. At first he believes the generals lie’s then he get to know her and things change. So enjoy another very good read in this great series!!
Finally we find out what happens to Jen. Her story didn't disappoint. Jen is abducted by the red dragons and is given a "babysitter". Thr 1st one didn't work out so she gets a hardass named Steel who is.watching over her. All Jen wants to do is go back home to her family. But if she stays and gets married off, her family will get the money she needs. Steel is determined to keep things professional with Jen, but can he resist her? I loved their story. Bad guys, good guys, action and lots of steamy scenes.
This is book six in the series and I am happy to find out that Jennifer gets her happy ending. I must have missed this book because I read the book about King Artic first, out of order, so I knew of the outcome of some of the drama. That one is entertaining and has some twists. This book was heavy in the sense that both Jennifer and Steel had serious emotional baggage that they carry. What they revealed, in the story, was heartbreaking. It felt a bit rushed at the end, but there is a happy ending. Read On!
I love this series, and Red Captive was worth waiting for. Chronologically, this happened slightly before and during book 5, and the suspense of what happened to Jen was huge. I loved Jen's story, and I am glad it worked out so well for her and Steel. I can hardly wait for the next book in the series to come out, and I am excited (and sad) to learn more about the Red King.
It sounded so much like what it would have be like if it were me that was Jennifer, and I love to Steel!! He had just enough prowess to deal with the stubbornness of Jen. Although I don't think I would have been quite as gregarious if she was at the last. I'm not really a mouse! But I am not that aggressive. Of course I don't have that experience either so oh well I really enjoyed the book I hope you will too
I have been waiting for Jens story for so long and it did not disappoint!! Steel was perfect, I do love a brooding hero. The more we read of this series the more I’m thinking the reds might be the good guys and something is terribly amiss on the other side. I received an ARC and this is my honest review.
I really enjoyed Jen and Steel's story!!! The chemistry between these two is off the charts. I really enjoy the banter that Jen and Steel have together! If you have not read the first 5 books in the series I would highly recommend it as there is an underlying story running throughout the whole series. I am excited to see where she takes it!
I like that her characters have depth to them. That they deal with serious, real world issues, in the context of a fantasy realm. I do wish she would go deeper into the palace intrigue. Also the book needs some editing, the main characters hair kept changing from blond to dark and back again, during the story.
The series comes to a head. This book pulls it all together. Jen's story reveals the shadiness happening in Mistveil. I enjoyed the story and look forward to Arctic's story. I am still curious about the differences between the islands. Hopefully that will be revealed in the coming books
I haven't read Red King yet, but have loved all the previous books in the series. Each features a different couple, different scenario between the two Islands. There's mystery, danger, love, enemy to lovers. They have it all. A new take on dragon shifters. Well written.
Really enjoyed Jen’s story this was a nice easy read with lots of character building and storytelling. Jen was kidnapped in the night from draig island but the people who took her took the wrong girl.
Steel and Jen is a wonderful couple! They are both hard headed and determined which makes this book an easy read! The suspense and drama in the book rivals the previous in the series and I cannot wait to read the next!
This is a real spicy fantasy read. It has a unique magic system that I really liked. It's fast pace & keeps you wanting to turn the page. I recommend it.
Totally adored Jen and Steel’s story ! It was funny, heartwarming and hot ! The action starts with Jen getting kidnapped and keeps on going ! The palace intrigue is a great addition. I love the characters and the storyline and can’t wait for the next story in the series. It can be read as a standalone, but is better if you read the other books in the series first to understand the back story of why Jen was on Draig Island and the quasi war with Mistvail Island’s history. 5✨’s . I received an ARC from the Author and am choosing to leave this review.
