This was such a cute love story. I think it’s even cuter knowing it’s loosely based on the author’s own personal love story.
I found both main characters likable and fun. The spice was 🔥! All the friends were lovely as well.
My only small complaint was that the epilogue felt unnecessary. I love that they’re both still achieving their dreams but I kind of wish there had just been a little more or nothing at all. It also felt kind of icky giving a meaningful last line to that specific character.
Overall, this is a really fun, quick read(read in a day). If you like college sports romance then I’d def recommend 🥰

Solid 4 star read!
I'm usually a hockey romance girlie, but this is putting up good competition!
This book was such a cute read. It's the perfect book to get you out of a reading slump! The MMC is a southern gentleman, but he's also protective of his girl, and the spice was 💋 😘

I thought this was a cute and quick read!
I was absolutely giddy a few times with butterfly inducing moments! And the spice was wow. So good. The mouth on HER?!? Absolutely caught me off guard!
For me, where this was lacking was I wanted a few more resolution with her ex boyfriend and also the douche of a coach. I wanted to see her ex he did when she told him she knew he was cheating. I wanted the coach to apologize or get fired, along with his conniving daughter.
But this is a cute debut romance from an indie author!! Check her out!

My loves I will admit, this was a one-sitting book, which is honestly one of my favourite types of reads! This was my first ever American football romance, and as a New Zealander who knows practically nothing about the sport, I never found myself lost in jargon which I thoroughly appreciated.
Whilst in real life I would probably see myself more as a hockey supporter I really enjoyed this book and loved it even more that it was loosely based by Zoe’s own love story with her now husband. My loves you know me, I love love so with this information this story just seems like such a lovely fairytale and I am left feeling somewhat envious that my university experience did not turn out anywhere near like this.
Also have to put the PSA out there, the spice was spicing… I will leave you with that 👀

I really enjoyed reading this cute romance! I finished it in one sitting and could have happily read more!
It was a fun, lovely, easy read that touched on a few deeper, more serious issues with the characters that added more depth and personality.
I liked the characters and felt I could relate a lot with the MFC, which definitely helped.
I enjoyed the story and the development of both the storyline, romance, and characters.
I loved the fact that when there was a miscommunication between the characters, it wasn't dragged out frustratingly, which is something that usually drives me mad.
Also, the spice was spicing! 🌶
A few things about the book & story I particularly liked:

Overall: This was definitely a solid 4 star read for me. It was super sweet and I got through it so quickly; I could barely put it down once I got into it. It did take me a few chapters to really get into it though because at the beginning you’re seeing both of them with other people, which is something I’m not a fan of in books. Despite how adorable Henry and Georgia’s romance is and how much I adore Henry, I gave it only 4 stars instead of higher because the main conflicts in the story revolve around OM/OW drama. While that makes the book more realistic, and I understand the book being more grounded in reality since it’s inspired by the author’s real life love story (that's so adorable btw), I do prefer to get lost from reality a bit more in my romance books. However, if OM/OW drama is something you don’t mind in your books, I couldn’t recommend this more. I absolutely loved the characters and the friendships and the romance (and the spice!!), and it’s such a sweet, easy read.

Georgia Campbell is an English major and aspiring journalist who writes for the university newspaper with her long-time best friend, Eleanor. She’s the kind of character that felt like we’d be best friends. Even when she was making stupid decisions and doing things that made me want to shake her, I was annoyed in the way I would be with my friend. I couldn’t be that annoyed with her because I knew I’d do the same thing, even if I know neither of us should do it.
Henry Anderson is the TU football star and team captain who already has an offer from a pro team for after graduation, even though he’s still only a junior. Boy, was Henry hot and swoony and adorable and a fantastic MMC. He’s sweet, protective, and would do anything for the people he cares about. But I loved that he still felt realistic while being pretty close to perfect; you’re reading it and still thinking “yep, that’s a college dude alright.”
The Spice: The spice is 3.5/5🔥 There are 4 spicy scenes (though 2 of them last multiple chapters, so it’s more like 7 chapters) and a couple other intense makeouts with lots of tension. All of which are hot and fantastic with plenty of variety (they’re both kind of switches? and that’s always hot). Seriously, this book has exactly what I’m looking for in terms of the spice, great amount, lots of tension and build up, and the desperation, just all of it: perfection.
The Friendships: Both the MCs had wonderful friends that I absolutely loved. Eleanor is funny, kind, and an incredible friend to Georgia. And I loved Henry’s roommates Jonah and Danny, they’re hilarious and really sweet guys, but still totally realistic for college guys. I loved the way all their friends were so willing to be there and do anything for each other.

This has really great pacing. If the tropes intrigue you, you’ll have a fun time.
This is perfect for fans of new adult college setting with a bit of drama and angst. There are straight up villains in this and misunderstandings, BUT what was nice is I wouldn’t call it in the miscommunication trope. These main characters actually have healthy conversations (eventually) so I really felt their connection and believed in the romance. I loved how hard he fell for her in particular. There are some really good one liners from him.
Some of my reasoning for 4 vs 5, I felt the ending was abrupt and with a character I didn’t feel like should have held that much importance for a final line. This has an epilogue but I still wanted more closure. I also am into and relate to not knowing a lot about football as how our FMC is but she’s a journalist, assumed to be a good one. In that profession you sometimes have to learn a lot about what you don’t know about so it felt unrealistic/unprofessional that she was going to her interviews with the MMC with no research done seemingly annoyed with him. Again, very valid and possible for a journalist to not be into sports but in this story it was assumed (by the coach and her professor) based solely on that fact so I would’ve liked leaving that door a little more open that women can be into 2 things at the same time. I know plenty of English majors and readers/writers who are.
To wrap up my overall impression it is definitely positive and I would recommend this! The writing is high quality, the characters are charming, and I loved the spice. I will definitely read more by this author. Thank you to Zoe Ballio for the eARC!

This was the PERFECT book to get me out of a major book hangover 😭 such a cute and easy read I absolutely loved it !! This is a super fast paced read that only took about 3 days to finish, but could easily be finished in one sitting🩵
This story follows Henry and Georgia who are neighbors (forced proximity - we love it) and there’s a bit of a misunderstanding that leads her to hate him. The hate is VERY one sided to say the least (he falls first AND harder hint hint) 🤭
I literally love the english major x athlete trope, and this book did it amazingly✨ the mmc Henry was SUCH a sensitive sweetie (did I mention he has dimples AND a southern accent 🤭✨) and the fmc Georgia was so so thoughtful 🥺 - they complimented each other so well. Also the spice was *chefs kiss*
There are exes that make an appearance (Patrick when I catch you ✋🏻) the way I would audibly GASP at his audacity on multiple occasions!!
Honorable mention: Elenor was the BEST friend to Georgia!! I love a girls girl friendship. 🤍

I thought this book was so cute! I literally was giggling the entire time, except when Patrick, Todd or Natalia were mentioned (😠 but that's beside the point lol) 😂
Henry was one of the sweetest boys I've ever read. 😍 He fell HARD for Georgia, and you could feel it in the writing. And Georgia was one of the most thoughtful girls I've read. I just adored these characters so much. 🥹
Also C'MONNN!! Hot quarterback/captain of the football team with a beautiful heart and soul?! That's like a dream! Georgia you struck gold, girlfriend!! ❤️🔥

I started this book and thought I was going to devour it! Well, I did devour it because Henry is just sooo 🤭🥹🥰 I absolutely adore him. He’s perfect, caring, loving, puts others before himself.. ugh, I love him sm 💞
I loved the relationship between Henry and Georgia, their instant connection and the growth they both had. They each had their own character development, and I loved watching it happen!
There was just a lot of side things happening, and not much resolution. Where’d Patrick go? He never came back? Him and Georgia never talked after she found out? Natalia did Henry’s physical therapy, but that’s not her major? Where’d she go then, she kinda dropped off without anything happening? There’s just a lot of unanswered questions for me.
Overall it was a cute, adorable read!! I’d read more by this author for sure 🫶🏼

the writing was good but i feel like it was still missing something. using ‘creamy’ as a descriptive word and the use of pookie definitely turned me off of the book. the overuse of the same words during the sexual scenes (like used every other sentence) just seemed like a lot to me as well.
i wish there were more resolutions when it came to the ex boyfriend, natalia, and the football coach. it seemed a little rushed and not necessarily like the MC’s forgot, but they got over certain things really quickly and the next thing would happen and it was like it never happened. i also don’t like insta-love and that’s what it was giving.

I enjoyed watching their two worlds collide—a football player and an English major. They compliment each other so well.
I enjoyed Eleanor and Georgia’s friendship. They’re the definition of found family. Todd is a tool! I couldn’t stand him. Natalia also got on my nerves. OH AND PATRICK! ICK! Good riddance!
Overall, I thought this was a cute and fun romance.

I enjoyed Eleanor and Georgia’s friendship. They’re the definition of found family. Todd is a tool! I couldn’t stand him. Natalia also got on my nerves. OH AND PATRICK! ICK! Good riddance!
Overall, I thought this was a cute and fun romance.

3.75/5 ⭐️ this was a cute, quick, fun read! I really enjoyed it! I love a college sports romance and this has great side characters. It also touched on some deeper topics. It was well written/edited especially for a debut novel!! I felt like the storyline with the ex boyfriend could have been explored a little more although I do love a girl who knows her value and moves on from crappy men so I can’t complain to much ahaha. There was some really good spicy scenes as well! 2-2.5/5 spice level. It’s not a huge amount but the spice in there is good.
If you’re looking for a fun college read I would recommend this book!

This was such a cute & engaging romance! Each character had such a distinct personality, which made the book so fun to read (and the story more believable).
The spice in here was S P I C I N G! 🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️ Henry had me absolutely swooning in multiple scenes. Definitely one of my top book boyfriends now!
There were some more dramatic elements to the story’s characters, which I appreciated. It added a lot of depth, which is missing a lot of the time from spicy books, imo.
Overall, I could not recommend this enough for a funny and romantic read!

The cutest college romance story! I absolutely loved Henry and how smitten he was for Georgia. athena way he stands up for her and does anything he has to do to prove his love for her. Now Georgia had some times when she was just a little annoying but then I had to remember they’re in college and still young, and also her relationship background with Patrick (who I wish would’ve popped up after everything for a little more ✨drama✨) Overall this book is definitely a must read if you love a little slow burn, college/sports romance!!

Finally a book where the miscommunication trope didn’t make me wanna rip my hair out!!!
I loved Georgia and Henry and loved that it didn’t take the whole book for them to get on the same page! We love a couple that would do anything for each other!

If you’re looking for a quick cute read then this is it.
I loved Henry and Georgia they were so cute together. He is a top book boyfriend. I loved how any issue or miscommunication between them didn’t last long. I look forward to reading more from her.

I FREAKING LOVED THIS BOOK! Like I read this in one sitting. Being a reader I loved Georgia cause like I could relate to her being a reader so much! I also loved how both of the main characters healed each other through out the book!! A must read☺️💖

This was a v cute read! It’s a nice and easy read that you’ll want to keep reading. I loved Henry and Georgia! He was so so sweet, and Georgia wanting to be a journalist reminded me of my very own college days. This was a cute read that touched serious topics as well. Overall, great if you’re in your sports romance era (specifically your football era)
