Love like this doesn’t save you.
It ruins you. Bleeds you dry.
And some part of you begs for more.

Rachel
She was never supposed to fall for him.
But the second he touched her, she knew—this wasn’t going to end clean.
Now she’s in too deep with the one man who could destroy her from the inside out.
And the worst part?
She’d still choose him.
Even as the past claws its way back to finish what it started.
Even if it means tearing herself apart to keep him breathing.
Because the monsters after him?
They’re the same ones that made her.

Dante
He told himself it was just obsession.
A fuck. A phase. A beautiful, mouthy distraction.
But then she got under his skin. Into his veins.
And now? She’s his religion. His rage.
They hurt her—he’ll kill them slow. Burn everything they’ve ever touched.
And when it’s done?
He’s taking her.
Body, soul, every filthy thought in between.
She thinks she’s seen the worst of him.
She hasn’t seen anything yet.

They were never meant to fall in love.
They were meant to fall into madness.
And now the world’s gonna watch them burn.

J.M. Johnson is a UK based author, often writing books set in her home of Yorkshire.

She writes dark romance that are very, very spicy, with morally grey men, and strong female leads. With a profound love of sarcasm (that's the British in her!) her books are always filled with it, as well as sprinkling humorous banter throughout.

All of the books come with trigger warnings like a shopping list, but are also plot heavy.

When she's not writing, she's either practicing her special effects makeup, or spending time with her three children, her fiance and her two dogs.

First, I want to thank the author for providing me with an ARC of this book in exchange for my honest review!

That said, I’ll admit I’m ignoring the last 50 pages or so when deciding my rating—if I included them, this would probably be closer to 2 stars. The rest of the book, however, was very good, and I absolutely loved the last chapter. I’m genuinely excited for book 3, especially since it seems like it will feature one of my favorite tropes (as long as it’s done well). I’m not sure when the final book is planned, but I’ll definitely read it as soon as it’s published (assuming I don’t get an ARC for it).

Now, onto the story. We continue to follow Rachel and Dante’s explosive, toxic relationship—this time with even more blood and violence. Rachel’s past has fully caught up with her, creating chaos and putting everyone in danger, including Bee.

What I Liked

Rachel: She isn’t the easiest character to love, but her actions and words always make sense. Despite how deeply flawed and broken she is, she’s probably the most rational and self-aware person in the book. I really enjoyed getting inside her head, and her thought process and inner monologue were a highlight. Her backstory continues to unfold, and honestly, you can’t help but wish you could hug her and make her pain disappear. Thankfully, she doesn’t lose her edge or become a doormat because of the events in the book or Dante’s actions. Her resilience was refreshing, she truly is a badass character ! I only wish the trope “my 😽 controls me and I can’t no longer think rationally at the sight of my man” wasn’t a thing. It takes away from the strong and badass vibe she has AND makes it less believable.

Dante: Nothing.

Bee: Thank God we got more of her in this book. My heart broke for her more than once. She’s such a sweet and lovable little thing, and I think the author did a great job balancing her innocence with her awareness of her surroundings. Bee isn’t so naïve that she doesn’t sense something is wrong, but she also isn’t unrealistically perceptive for her age. While I found her fast bond with Rachel a little rushed, it’s understandable—she latched onto the one person who treats her like a daughter and actively tries to protect her, even from her own family. Honestly, I’d love Rachel too if she were my “mommy.” lol

Plot: This is probably one of the best-executed plots I’ve seen in a dark romance in a long time. Yes, there’s a lot of smut, but this is far from a plotless book. The pacing has improved a lot. Just when you think everything is resolved, something new comes crashing down. While much of it was predictable, the good writing kept it enjoyable.

Side Characters: While we got more insight into most of the side characters, I have to say I only really cared about Dante’s brother. Can we just swap him with Dante? Please? (I think my hatred for the MMC is pretty obvious at this point 🤣).

Look, he’s still a terrible person like all the men in this book, and his actions are absolutely unforgivable—but his development and decisions were the most logical and well-thought-out.

Also, I hate Crash. Screw the dad, and screw the son too.

Rachel’s Dad: I love him. Please, please give us more father-daughter scenes. I’m BEGGING !

What I Didn’t Like

Dante: 🤢 I hate him. I already disliked him in the first book, but this time he’s even worse. Honestly, a book has to be really well-written to earn 4 stars from me when I despise the male lead.

After 800 pages of Rachel and Dante, I still have no idea what his problem is. His actions, thought processes, and many of the things he says to Rachel just don’t make sense. I’m constantly questioning why he’s even doing or saying half the things he does. Even the rare “sweet” moments weren’t enough to make me like him, even a little. It’s a dark romance, but it’s still romance, I feel like it’s not really good news if the readers can’t at least tolerate the MMC.

I’m holding out hope that the next book will give us more insight into his head, motivations and logic because, as of now, he’s not just a bad person—he’s also a shit dad. I have no idea how he convinces himself (or anyone else) that he isn’t.

Despite my issues with Dante, I’m still really excited for the next book because it’s set to feature my favorite trope 🥺. I’m crossing my fingers that the author delivers and that I end up liking Dante at least a little more.

Oh! My, I just can’t with this series, this one follows on from Stolen. It’s a continuation of Dante and Rachels’ tumultuous relationship, and this leads us further into the Devil’s Disciples club, we learn more about the recruits, family and subsequent betrayal that is close to home. Our pair fight and make up more than a little, yes, as readers we scream at the pages of our books saying “just talk to each other” alas they are characters in a book and won’t heed our advice 🤣🤣

This book gives us insights, we learn of the other gang's vendetta until it comes to fruition with revenge in mind. Rachel also seeks her own justice and still has a mouth she can’t seem to rein in 🫣 There’s a war coming and it won’t be pretty, all the time our FMC sees, tries to speak but is dismissed, her only salvation taking care of their daughter Bee. Until Rachel, takes a step that there is no returning from 😱

Obviously, there’s more depth to this story but I can’t give you anymore.

Seriously, I have had my emotions thrown into the washing machine on 1600rpm, down to 600rpm before the drain and spin cycle 😎

Well, once again @jmjohnson has ripped my heart out. I dont even have words for this book. I am traumatized and if this doesn't get fixed I'm gana flip out. 🤬 Literally someone send me a therapist. 🙏 Ughhhh ... anyways this book is fuckin amazing, you need it, just go buy it, right now, along with the first one - if you didn't listen to me last time 😒.. The banter, the spice, the characters, the plot twists, emotions, deaths, everything = all utter perfection. No other words, you're welcome.

This one was just as wild and crazy as the first! It picks up where the first left off and doesn’t miss a beat as far as pacing, action, and violence are concerned. Rachel and Dante are still a confusing matchup that manages to work but is also super toxic. The narrators did a great job with this one too. There were more than a few moments where I felt like I was listening in on a conversation I shouldn’t have been hearing. They did a great job bringing them to life.

JM Johnson has done it again with Saved, the second installment in The Devil's Disciples series. Picking up where we left off, we delve deeper into the tumultuous relationship between Dante and Rachel, a pair whose connection is as fiery as their arguments. This book is a rollercoaster of emotions, and Johnson masterfully navigates the highs and lows, making it an unforgettable read.

From the very first page, I was hooked. Johnson's writing is both evocative and immersive, drawing readers into Dante and Rachel's world. Their strained relationship is palpable, filled with tension and passion that keeps you on the edge of your seat. The heated arguments are just as thrilling as the steamy encounters, and I found myself experiencing every emotion imaginable—anticipation, frustration, joy, and even heartbreak.

There were moments in this book that left me teary-eyed, as Johnson expertly crafted scenes that tugged at my heartstrings. Just when I thought I had a handle on their dynamic, the plot twists and character development took me by surprise, leaving me desperate for more. I particularly appreciated how this installment provided closure on some of the burning questions left from the first book, while also expanding on the well-developed characters we’ve come to love.

And let’s not forget the heat! Johnson has a knack for writing sizzling scenes that leave you breathless and, yes, blushing. The chemistry between Dante and Rachel is electric, and their intimate moments are a testament to Johnson's talent for capturing raw desire and complexity in relationships. It’s clear that she knows how to balance the steamy with the emotional, creating a narrative that is both passionate and poignant.

Saved was absolutely worth the wait, and it only heightened my excitement for the next book in the series. I can confidently say that I will never tire of Dante and Rachel's intricate, lust-driven relationship. If you're looking for a compelling romance filled with tension, heart, and plenty of heat, look no further than this installment. Bravo, JM Johnson! I can't wait to see where you take us next in this thrilling series.

I can't even gather my thoughts on what I just read. OMG... WHAT???
What a rollercoaster this book has been. It was addictive. There is no way you can put it down once you start! I wanted so bad to know what happened after Stolen's cliffhanger, and ohh, boy, I did!

Just as in Saved both Dante and Rachel infuriated me but at the same time I just loved them. Their likeness, their love for one another, their banter, their arguments and intimate times. I loved all of it. I was flying through the pages to absorb all this book all at once. I just couldn't put it down. It made me feel so many things. And feel them intensely. The only thing missing between them and in their relationship is trust. They need to trust each other more! I hope the next book shows us that next step in their relationship.

After being betrayed by one of their own, things get complicated and they are in danger and at war.
And not all of them get away unnharmed, and its sad to see characters we love getting hurt.
I think my heart just broke a little at so many parts of the book, but the middle of the story, after the attack. I was crying. Crying people!! And this is a dark romance!
I wanted them to burn it all for justice and some peace. And it seemed that after that, so many, many things happened.
I never, and I MEAN NEVER would have guessed the turn out where we were headed, and some things just left me with my mouth open and gasping. I did not see several things coming!

And I can say, that towards the end I wanted to slap them both, but Dante.?. What was he thinking??? After that I can understand the ending, but I'm dying to see the next chapters in their lifes. I need book 3 ASAP please!!

If I didn’t already love, Rachel and Dante story from stolen, then saved made me love it even more. This book immediately picks up from the ending of stolen and if you remember how stolen ended then you remember that it’s a big cliffhanger about Dante. This book is just as much of an emotional roller coaster than it has twist and turns throughout it, Ben Hart, Lucy Rivers, and Joe Arden, all do such phenomenal jobs throughout this audio they bring out the most in each of the characters that they do and especially in this one I could feel that these were characters that they loved doing just by the way they did the audio. Now, if you thought the story, the spice, and the banter was good in stolen then saved is going to take you to a whole new level because there’s just as much in this and the story it’s gonna have you on the edge of your seat and have you waiting until the third book. You are not gonna want to stop playing this audio once you start it. these narrators again do just such a phenomenal job in every book that I have heard them narrate Joe and Lucy are in my top 10 for male narrators and female narrators. Ben Hart has recently become a new narrator that I’ve been starting to listen to so he has slowly been going through my ranks of narrators, and I’ve loved every bit of it. I can’t wait for the third book in Rachel and Dante story. thank you so much again to bluenose audio for allowing me this opportunity and thank you so much to the author JM Johnson for creating these amazing characters.

picking up right where book 1 left off, dante has just been kidnapped, shark was stabbed & no one knows who did it or what’s going on. there’s a lot going on in this book & just when you think you can stop & take a breath, the shoe drops & something else has happened.

while i find rachel utterly fucking annoying, i find myself empathizing with her at times with all that she’s been through (& continues to be put through). but then she goes right back to being the childish, mouthy asshole she seems to enjoy being. she simply cannot help herself sometimes. even her inner voice is constantly telling her to just stfu & it’s not worth it, but she has to be defiant/stubborn & do it anyway. it’s so frustrating.

dante is still a hot-headed, abusive, misogynistic male who believes he truly “owns” rachel, as if she were his property. that she should meet his every demand on her knees with zero resistance & a genuine smile on her face. but somehow, he seems to leave little crumbs here & there of showing he loves her & says many times that he’s not willing to argue with her over dumb shit. *except that he does*

while this couple is beyond fucking toxic & frustrating almost the entire time, i ate that shit up. both of the main characters have a lot of growing up to do (seriously, at their age?), but i’m curious to see how the rest of their story together plays out. there’s so much going on from the very beginning & we get a lot more background knowledge on rachel’s past, macbeth’s involvement with the people from her past & the rough riders, as well as how the club operates. the plot was thick. i think vienna is my favorite, though, tbh. i enjoyed reading more about his character this time around! his humor is unmatched & he’s such a teddy bear!

there’s a lot of drama, a lot of violence, a lot of sex, a lot of back & forth, but it keeps you craving to know more of what’s going to happen! especiallyyyyyyyy after yet another humongous cliffhanger…why must she do this to us?😭 enjoy the wild clusterfuck for yourself & pick up this series if you haven’t already! we’re all waiting for book 3 now👀

Review Summary

I liked this second instalment of the duet. It got a bit long in the middle, with the story starting to drag, but the beginning and end are really good. And that ending! Such an awesome final line. I enjoyed seeing Dante and Rachel’s relationship get better, but it’s truly at a glacial pace. The smut was good, but I found it was becoming a lot in this book, when I was wanting to dig into the story a bit more. The action was quite good, and the pacing is pretty fast so it doesn’t get dull where that’s concerned. I enjoyed seeing into Rachel’s mind even more, and seeing her slowly come to terms with some things. I’m not sure if I felt there was a lot of character development for Dante. Overall, it was enjoyable and I’m excited for the next book.

i’ve been waiting to find out what happens with this story since that last book and i was NOT expecting anything that just happened. i was not able to put this book down i finished in about 2 days and all i can say is wow!! i love that the whole club really came to life in this book, in the previous book they were sort of just background characters with the subtle appearances but they really brought the story to life in this one. definitely a lot of heartbreak came from this book but it was such a great rollercoaster of emotions. i really can’t wait for the next book of this series. the way this book ended really has me wanting more. we all know how crazy dante is and i’m curious to see what he does and to what hell he will go through and put people through to see his promise till the end.

I listened to the audiobook.

Freaking loved it! I missed these characters and their banter. Rachel is one of my fav FMC’s. She’s sassy with a sharp tongue and attitude for days, lol. And I just love Vienna after getting to know a little more about him in this story. A lot happens in this book picking up where Stolen left us hanging. And like Stolen it ends on one heck of a cliffhanger. So once again, I’m dying for the next book! J.M. Johnson has this ability to somehow perfectly balance the dark with some of the best banter and funny moments I’ve ever read. She’s also created some really great characters full of personality and depth. As far as mc romance goes this has become one of top favs.

The narration performed by Lucy Rivers, Ben Hart and Joe Arden was so good! They were perfect for this story and the characters!

Pure chaos in the best way—dark, addictive, and impossible to put down. From page one, Saved slams you back into the dangerous, toxic, and magnetic world of The Devil’s Disciples, and it doesn’t ease up for a second.

Rachel is still her sharp-tongued, impulsive, maddening self—equal parts entertaining and infuriating. Her push-and-pull with Dante is explosive, full of tension, toxicity, and raw emotion that feels almost too real at times. Vienna completely steals the show with warmth and humor, offering the perfect balance to all the grit. The characters are layered, flawed, and brimming with personality in a way that makes you crave more of each of them.

The twists, the banter, the spice, the cliffhanger—everything keeps building in a relentless storm of emotion. By the end, I was wrecked, laughing one minute and gutted the next, already desperate for the next book in the series.

The audiobook takes it all up a notch. Lucy Rivers and Ben Hart embody Rachel and Dante perfectly, while Joe Arden’s cameo as Vienna is a highlight. Together, they bring the chaos, humor, and heartbreak to life in a way that makes this story unforgettable.

Book two starts right where the first book ended. Dante and Rachel's toxic, explosive relationship is again explored. Rachel is strong AF woman. I enjoyed listening to her POV even when she made some questionable decisions. Dante is still a hot-head A-hole.

There is so much going on in this story. Just when you catch your breath from one thing, another thing happens. Plus. it's a very spicy story.

It ends in a cliff-hanger....again. I am definitely looking forward to the next book!

I listened to the audio narrated in duet by Ben Hart, Lila Winters with Joe Arden. They are all so good, but (just like the first book), I loved Ben Hart's narration.

Thank you to Blue Nose Audio for an advanced readers copy. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

Wow! What a page turner. You must read book one before this. This story picks up right where the other left off, and it takes you through a world of emotions. The action keeps you on the edge of your seat. Rachel still has a smart mouth, but she's making her place in the Devils Deciples. I lost a few tears, gasped out loud, and even laughed a time or two. I didn't want this to end, and when it did, I almost cried. This cliffhanger has me screaming for more, and I can't wait to see where this journey goes next! Amazing writing, and the spice is spicy!

This trilogy is quickly becoming one of my favorites! I need the next book like my life depends on it. The fear she has at the end is legit and real and for good reason. He is absolutely the reason he didn’t know about anything. He’s absolutely the reason she has every right to not tell him about it. He pushed her away, he wouldn’t let her tell him what was going on. He literally forced her out the door. And idk if I can forgive him for it.

I knew I shouldn’t but I did. I listened to this and I regret it. This is an exact replica of the first book just different scenarios. It is literally just Dante and Rachel fighting with one another and sex. Literally the entire book. It’s like they refuse to do better and change. I have a headache. I do NOT want to know how it ends, I cannot take a third book of this.

Ladies and Gents she has done it, she has absolutely smashed it out the park with the second book of the Devils Disciples Series! If I could give it 6 stars I would!
From start to finish I was fully hooked and along for the ride. It had me girly kicking and screaming, belly laughing and full on sobbing. You really do feel what the characters are feeling, I genuinely feel like I know each and every one of them personally and am so invested in them, their story, their lives!
Without a doubt, it has to be one of the best books I’ve read for the journey it takes you on, the emotional rollercoaster you experience and the way it sucks you in and spits you out again!
I knew it was going to be fast paced, end on another cliffhanger and that at least 1 character wasn’t going to make it to the end but I was not prepared for what greeted me. There is so much packed into this one book, so many elements to the story which are crucial to the character developments and really do increase your love for them and so much action my heart rate couldn’t keep up.
Rachel and Dante are everything, the love they have for each other is undeniable (to those on the outside anyway) but they’re a dangerous combination; strong, fierce, determined, dedicated, sarcastic to the end, always giving their all and protective of those they love.
The world of the Devils Disciples that Jo has created has quickly become my obsession and I cannot wait to see what comes next for Rachel and Dante, as well as what is in store for the rest of the crew.
I am still reeling from Saved and just like Stolen before it, it will forever live rent free in my head and heart.
If you’re after a fast paced, dual POV, found family, rollercoaster of emotions, bad boy (morally grey) biker crew, dark romance, forced proximity, with humour and sarcasm to boot then this is the series for you! (But please check the triggers - if you have any, as there are a few - If like me you don’t, them jump on in and ENJOY!!)

Do I have to say it? We all knew this was going to be another great book. Love their writing style. I keep finding my heart torn apart and on the ground, but I keep finding myself wanting more.
J.M. we need to talk about this cliffhanger 😄 🤣. I needed the next book like yesterday. You expect me to wait...

What a toxic relationship that Rachel and Dante have. But to be honest I'm loving it. They need to get their shit together. If they would just communicate. It's a book so of course they won't communicate. Nope, they are going to argue. So it's up to us readers to tell them to get their shit together. I don't know how many times I found myself yelling at them.

Rachel is such a power house. Spite her trauma, she doesn't let it stop her from being a badass. She doesn't take shit from anyone. I loved learning more about her past. Rachel had so many badass or inspirational lines that I had to highlight most of them. She has been through some much. I can't help but love her. She is what kept me reading the book. She By far, my favorite character. Rachel is like the best friend I never had.

Bee is so relatable! I connected with her right away.

Dante is just a dick honestly. I personally wouldn't have put up with his shit. I can't believe he calls himself a dad. I hope he gets his shit together in the next book.

As usual, I loved J.M.'s writing. The smut didn't get in the way of the plot. In my opinion, this was well balanced throughout the book.
If you love banter, spice, death, all kinds of emotions, and, of course, the plot twists. Some were predictable but still loved the plot twists. Then this book is for you!

Now we wait for the next book 🤔

J M Johnson has done it again & given us a 5⭐️ masterpiece!! Before I read this, stolen was my favourite dark romance of the year & now this one is sitting pretty in the top spot alongside it, it was amazing!
This follows on from where stolen ended & takes you straight back to Rachel, dante & the devils deciples & my God it has you gripped from the 1st page! The action in this book is fast paced & it has you on your edge of your seat going omg and wtf! It has had me on an emotional roller coaster I have got angry, I've been laughing my head off & ive cried, yes! only 180 odd pages in i was crying 😢
At one point, I thought dante & Rachel were going to get the HEA but in true Rachel & Dante style it didn't last! And of course Vienna had to be there with his banter 🤣 i absolutely love that man!
Again J M johnson delivered on the spice & the spice was definitely spicing 🌶🌶🌶🌶🌶 & there was plenty for you to enjoy 🥵
Once again the book ends on a cliffhanger & i was hitting my Kindle willing it to give me another page 🤣 I need book 3 like this second. I have questions & i need to know what happens next!
If you've not read stolen, you need to read that book 1st before starting this one, or you won't have a clue what is happening or who is who!
Well done & congratulations J M johnson on another amazing book

This is book #2, you need to read the first novel "Stolen"

Rachel - Is a bad a$$ FMC, she hasn't had it easy in her life, she had been taken from her job and forced into a biker mc lifestyle, Rachel has been looking after Dantes daughter Bee, who she has fallen in love with and thinks of her as a daughter.
Dante gets kidnapped and Rachel knew she needed him back with her and Bee.
Rachel isn't a sweet and innocent woman, she's a mouthy, sarcastic woman. Who does tend to throw her toys out of her pram.

Dante - Is a hot bad a$$ biker who lives for his club, his brothers, his daughter and now Rachel. While their relationship hasn't been healthy or the best, he loves how much she loves his daughter.
He gets kidnapped by the one person who he didn't think would stoop so low.

Can Dante keep Rachel, his daughter and his club safe.

This book is beautifully written, lots happening from spicy scenes, action scenes, sad scenes, this author has put a whole mix into this story!

This novel does end on a cliff hanger!!! Roll on book #3

This is not the first novel of this authors I have read and it most certainly won't be the last I read of her wickedly dark delicious words.

As always please read trigger warnings, these novels aren't ones for the sweet and innocent who want and need a happy ever after!

Saved by J. M. Johnson is the second book in The Devil's Disciples series. This is an amazing story and very addictive! This book is all plot and spice, but for the love of god send the FMC to a bloody therapist before I mürder her myself! Once again this book ends on another CLIFFHANGER, slamming another door in your face! Dante is a favourite MMC, and Vienna is the cherry on top of the cake, he is the comedic relief and he does it so well! Vienna is a teddy bear and I need him in my life!
I have to say that in this book I resonate the most with Dante and his feelings. While he is hot-headed, and borderline abusive, ok ok he is abusive, his internal monologue made me laugh so hard, but I swear I would be as hot-headed as he is when dealing with Rachel, who I swear all I want is to mürder or peg her myself 😂, she is so immature and childish, mouthy and utterly annoying. I need her ARC to kick in for Dante and Vienna’s sake.
The plot twists, the banter, the characters, the toxic relationship, the bloody spiceereeeee, the rollercoaster of emotions everything makes this book another masterpiece from J. M. Johnson.
Audiobook: is absolutely amazingly performed by Lucy Rivers and Ben Heart it with the brilliant cameo by Joe Arden as Vienna, this is the perfect trio ! This audiobook brings everything on the table and is just absolutely perfectly edited and produced by Blue Nose Audio!

I was fortunate to be an ARC for Stolen and it left on the best cliffhanger…. I friggin LOVED everything about this book. Everything. I was fantastically SHOCKED when I got my ARC copy for Saved bc I have just been scatter brained lately. The way I ran to reread Stolen so I could read Saved…. ❤️
First off… I love JM’s character development. They truly make you feel everything the character is feeling. They describe them so intimately in every way. The way Dante and Rachel’s relationship developed and how Bee was so involved in all aspects of the story, I just love the bond they built.
The spice, as expected, was SPICING!!!!! Deeeefinitely enjoyed 🤤🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️
Vienna…. I LOVE Vienna! I want books with him!
There was a lot of sadness in this story with some characters that absolutely ROCKED me.
The cliffhanger…. STOP. Literally stop it right now. I am more impatient for the next book than I was for this one at this point!!! I’m hooked with this series. I’d love to read so many of these books with these characters bc they have all peaked my interest so wonderfully so far that I want to know them better 😂

Second book. It does end on a great cliffhanger. We continue the story where it was left off and the first book. Dante gets kidnapped and Rachel has to rescue him from the betrayal of Macbeth. She’s push against the wall between saving Dante or just leave the club for good. Will she stay or will she leave the club life for good?

This book was so good. It had action, spice, plot twists, gore, heart warming moments and humor (so much humor). I couldn’t stop laughing on every single chapter. Vienna was my guy. Even though he wasn’t the MMC, he was on the spot a lot and was not left unnoticed. He was just funny all the time. Dante was like a piece of dessert I couldn’t get enough of. The whole “touch her and you’ll die” was the icing on top. There were also sad moments and Crash broke my heart. I was not expecting that. Again J.M Johnson you outdid yourself and gave us another great hit book. I can’t wait for the third book. I need to know what happens on THAT phone call. Now for the Q&A. Was the spice SPICY? 100% yes. Was the plot twisting? Also yes. Would I recommend this book? Also yes.

I really enjoyed the first book and with the cliffhanger I was excited to start this book!
This book picks up right where Stolen left off and immediately are brought back into Dante and Rachel’s chaotic life.
I wanted to like this one but it didn’t hit as well as the first one. Both Dante and Rachel really annoyed me. You would think they would get past situations but then immediately be annoyed about it all over again. Rachel girl, I needed her to get it together. I did like her towards the end though, when she started standing up for herself.
Their relationship was for sure toxic, and filled with betrayal and revenge bur also passion and loyalty.
The middle dragged a bit, but the ending?! Wild!

🎧 Audiobook review: The narration performed by Lucy Rivers, Ben Hart and Joe Arden were great for this audiobook! They were perfect for this story and really brought it to life! I feel like they did a great job with all the banter and tension and emotional range of the characters.
