Not really a romance
This was advertised as a steamy romance. It’s not in the slightest. I couldn’t figure out at what point in the story the H and h would’ve become attracted or fallen in love and there wasn’t really a point where they did. They spend probably less than half the book together and even less than that alone in the entire story. The villain was weak and that plot line really didn’t add much because suddenly the h has a complete turnaround after years of being on a specific path. And I HATE books where the only steamy parts are in the epilogue. It seems a cop out, like all of a sudden the author realizes it’s supposed to be a romance and then tacks that onto the end.
