All houses have their secrets...but few more so than Whispers Estate, a mysterious house in Indiana in which a local doctor once plied his trade.
Legends and rumors swirl around Whispers like mist. Was a critically burned child really murdered upstairs by her own father?
Who -- or what -- is the enormous shadow figure that has been encountered by visitors, which goes by the nickname of "Big Black?"
Why does an invisible force target females for violent physical attacks...and does a non-human entity really stalk the living within the walls of this enigmatic old house?
Join author Richard Estep (TV's "Haunted Hospitals" and "Paranormal 911") as he and a small team of paranormal investigators move into Whispers Estate and explore these mysteries at first hand.
I'm a 48-year-old child who has no plans to ever actually grow up.
I make my living as a paramedic, clinical educator, for a busy hospital system and work as a street medic in a 911 system.
In my free time, I serve as the director of the Boulder County Paranormal Research Society, and investigate claims of haunted properties, people, and objects on both sides of the Atlantic. I love to read, particularly SF/Fantasy, history and historical fiction, the paranormal, and basically anything that piques my interest. I appear on the TV shows Haunted Hospitals, Paranormal 911, Paranormal Night Shift, Haunted Case Files, and several others.
I am an avid video gamer, table-top gamer, and love to build Lego. My wife and I are the proud humans of five adopted rescue cats and one smelly but adorable dog.
This was quite a coincidence, I had literally just finished watching the documentary on Prime and finished it 15 minutes before I saw on X that this was out. I didn't know that the author had a book about Whispers going to be published. I was actually just looking for something to kill time and decided to watch the film. Now after reading this book I get a much better understanding of the house. I highly recommend all of Richard Estep's books.
A fascinating investigation!! I'm so into the paranormal and all the ghostly stuff! Richard Estep is by far my favorite paranormal investigating author. I've read every one of his books and love watching Haunted Hospitals with his commentary on the different ghostly goings on. I truly enjoyed this book immensely and look forward to his book on demons coming out soon!
I really liked the conversational writing style as well as Richard's pragmatic view of the "evidence" they collected through their time at Whispers Estate. I also like that he mentions tucking a signed book away at the estate as an easter egg for people to find. Considering I'm reading THIS book at a different location leads me to believe I should be paying more attention to the bookshelves at other haunted locations.
