What if your next campfire dinner could taste like it came from a world-class restaurant? After two decades in Michelin-starred kitchens, Chef Grace Parker traded her chef’s whites for an Airstream and hit the open road—reimagining gourmet techniques for life on wheels. Along the way, she collected the very best flavors America has to offer, transforming them into 200+ refined yet practical recipes you can make anywhere.

Learn to cook, host, and eat like a Michelin-starred chef with 200+ recipes from Grace Parker, who traded her three-star kitchen for the open road.

After two decades perfecting haute cuisine in prestigious Michelin-starred restaurants, Grace Parker made a bold decision: she hung up her chef's whites, bought an Airstream, and set out to rediscover American flavors one mile at a time. What began as a well-deserved retirement became an extraordinary culinary journey, documenting regional ingredients and reimagining gourmet techniques for the mobile kitchen.

In the RV Cooking and Camping Cookbook, Grace shares sophisticated yet approachable recipes she developed while traveling across America's highways and byways. This is cooking that honors both classical technique and campfire simplicity—the kind of meal preparation that begins with sourcing local ingredients at farmers markets and ends with plating restaurant-quality dishes under starlit skies.

Great Go-To Cookbook for Camping/RV life!

I purchased this cookbook because my sister-in-law recently purchased an RV and we are planning camping trips. I appreciated how straight forward and simple the recipes were and that this book included a good variety of meal types (breakfast, snacks, hearty meals, desserts, outdoor meals, drinks, etc.,) and included food for kids. I would love to see a meal plan for a weekend camping trip or a full week camping trip with a grocery list for even more ease, and I also would have liked images of some of the recipes included, but overall this book is a great go-to cookbook!

We are about to go on a camping trip, and I downloaded RV Cooking and Camping Cookbook by Grace Parker to make it more interesting. The book features easy, budget-friendly recipes for mobile kitchens, with clear instructions and practical tips for meal planning and organizing. Highlights include cost-saving techniques, seasonal ingredients, and versatile cooking methods like one-pot and sheet pan meals. The book also covers holiday meals and special occasions, ensuring you can celebrate on the road. Though it lacks nutritional info and more one-pot meal ideas, it’s a must-have for novice and experienced adventurers looking to elevate their road trip dining experience.

A Cookbook But Not RV Specific

Like the recipe elements of the book. I like the idea of a RV cookbook but the book recipes are not specific to RV living. It is a good cookbook. The food choices are generic in that the meals could work for any place. The issue with the recipes are that they cannot be made easily in a RV. Space is a real issue in an RV. Yet the author suggests that RV cooks can bake cakes and create and use small or compact refrigerators to store charcuterie. The grilling section of the book was interesting but again doesn’t fit in a typical RV. Confusing cookbook. Disappointed in the delivery but still good cookbook for outdoor cooking.

Better than I thought it would be

I like trying different, so have been building a cookbook collection. This book was better than I thought, there was loads of recipe ideas, different cooking methods. A section for kid friendly cooking, tips and information about rv's etc. Even if you don't have a rv, there are so many good recipes. There is even a cocktail section.....which I will definitely be experimenting with this summer. The only thing that I can criticise is that there is no pictures. However it's only a small thing, and the quality of the content is good, so no issues. I recommend.

Great Cookbook!

In my middle aged years I have made the commitment to myself to travel more. To see more of the USA and other countries abroad. This book of recipes is not only great for meals while traveling via an RV, it is also great for recipes to make at home. What I thought was going to be an on-road-cookbook is actually A GREAT COOKBOOK IN GENERAL. Delicious recipes throughout with accommodations for allergies and different food lifestyle choices like keto or gluten free.

Great recipes and space-saving ideas

This book offers mouthwatering easy to make recipes, as well as space saving ideas. Charcuterie boards are covered and a 4 ingredient aioli dressing for BLTs is a game changer. These ideas work for small apartment living, too. Well formatted with recipes to try with or without an RV lifestyle.

This is a great book. Going through each recipe made me want to camp and eat what recipes were on the page. That is a sign of a great book that is very practical and relevant. Grab a copy and you won’t be disappointed.

Great premise

Parker's book is a god send for anyone with limited kitchen space be it a RV, a small apartment, a 30 foot sailboat with a tiny galley, or a get away cabin. Both her recipes and concepts for equipping a tiny cooking space are spot on.

The author includes good diversity of recipes, covering appetizers, main courses, desserts and beverages. The ingredients included could reasonably be found in a local grocery store. I appreciated the author's advice regarding the logistics of cooking in an RV, including choosing appliances that can perform multiple functions and small batch cooking.

This RV cooking book is perfect. It hits every pain point, from grocery staples, to the right tools and instruments to use, and I love the recipes. They are simple, which makes sense if your storage capacity doesn’t allow huge grocery runs. As I checked out each one, the recipes screamed “summer!” I think it’s the perfect book for camping/RV’ing, but also I can see many of these recipes used at home during the summer.
