MOTHS TO A FLAME

The dust settles in the wake of the Predators’ carnage, leaving Professor Ji in a coma and the school’s entire supply of Cinderella plundered. NEST has taken a severe hit―but they’re not down for the count. And what better way to get revenge on a much stronger enemy than an ambush? All Suchan and his friends need is a way off campus and the element of surprise…which is easier said than done with a traitor in their midst!

The revenge mission is a go! Professor Ji's students sneak out to attack a Pet Shop hideout in hopes of taking out Breeder.

Of course it isn't going to be that easy, 1. because he's not there, 2. because there's a predator recovering there, 3. something even bigger is there that really wants to eat them, and.... 4. something worse might (and does) happen.

The escalation is so good but I'm also over here cackling over the Tarantula and Grasshopper fighting over the Scorpion (sorry, names are hard, but I can remember the bugs)

I would have given this a 5 star rating, but the action panels at times are too blurry to understand what’s happening. Everything else about this manga is excellent. I love the characters and the villains are the type you can really despise.

Suchan finds out a secret base for Pet Shop and can’t pass up the opportunity to cripple Breeder’s operations. But with everyone on high alert at Nest after the attacks, students are not allowed off campus for any reason. The group comes up with a plan to get off campus but ends up with a faculty chaperone at a Nest-sponsored resort house instead. They still manage to find their way to the secret base, and what Suchan and the A Team find at there is arguably way more than a group of first years could possibly hope to handle.

Mischievous students are going to do what mischievous students do best, right? Plot against all the best laid plans of their teachers and still end up in the biggest wad of trouble they can, then have to be rescued after doing massive amounts of property damage. Volume six continues to deliver on the action of this series and makes things even more ludicrous than some of the previous entries because, of course we're not going to involve the adults who work at the school who have never steered us wrong. As an adult reader, this one made me laugh. As a student reading this, the premise will probably make much more sense.
