Having secured a way into the capital, Camellia just needs her sickly brother Kieran to return in good health―but the last thing she expects is for him to be accompanied by Ian Sergio, prince of a rival nation. Not only does he know Camellius Bale’s true identity, but he also appears to be quite taken with her! And he doesn’t seem to be the only one, either, as Duke Ihar confronts his own burgeoning affection for Camellius. With more eyes on her than ever, will Camellia be able to pull off her plan to find her mother and leave House Bale?
This and the first volume were part of my BOGO 50% off B&N spree. Read them when I got them, but no time to do reviews until now, so I re-read them and am doing the reviews now.
I think Camellia needs at least Ian and Claude in her harem, just saying. I like them both. Claude is seriously falling for her even though he thinks she is a dude. (Not homophobic, he just didn’t think his sexuality went that way, so he’s going through some confusion now.) Ian knows exactly who she is and really does seem to dig her. He heard tons of stories about her from her half brother and seems to have fallen for her via the stories. Both love interests seem like they have secrets and ulterior motives for everything, but it seems Claude is the end game. Wish she could get them both. She deserves a LOT of happiness considering what she has had to go through.
I completely, 100% despise the butt-hurt lady who kidnapped Camellia and forced her to do what she is going through now. Camellia’s job is done! Let her leave with her mother already!! But NYOOOOO, you just HAVE to keep CONTROLLING Camellia to hurt her because your husband did the dirty with Camellia’s mom, creating Camellia, and you can’t take the humiliation!
Seriously, why can’t the husband freaking control his wife?!? This seems to be in a day and age where the man ruled the household. She’s SOOOO focused on Camellia bringing shame to their house when SHE is the one doing that very thing! Her husband and son BOTH point that out to her, but then they just drop it??
Also, hubby needs to keep it in his pants, just saying. Yeah, I’d be pissed too, but I would take it out on HIM, not the innocent kid.
4, this is great drama but bad for my blood pressure, stars.

Things are about to get very interesting for Camellia. 2 princes, and the son of a duke falling for her, not to mention the creeper going around hurting women. I hope Claude can get her out of trouble and help her find her mom before things take a turn for the worst.
I quite enjoyed it, although it seems a little convoluted? It might just be that various names and such, but it feels like it'll end up being political machinations.
EU IMPLORO.
I am not sure how I feel about the new character Ian, he is so creepy and just doesn't seem to understand NO is NO. Go away. She is clearly uncomfortable, leave her alone. Eew. I don't like a guy who is one of the male interest and a creepfest. Claude is much better. He tries to be there for Camellius (he is still thinking Camellia is a guy, which is both adorable and makes me laugh as it is so obvious), brings sweets, protects her from creepy Ian. I love seeing Camellia try to make plans to find her mom. But that ending is illegal. You cannot just end it there. ARGH. Hopefully Camellia is able to be a girl again for real. She deserves it. Plus, I hope she will see her mom!
I can’t get over how beautiful the art style is!! The second novel is especially interesting but I don’t know how this Ian guy knew the truth? Was there backstory I missed? He also seems weirdly obsessed with Camellia even though he didn’t know her ?? Anyway I have a bad feeling that she won’t find her mom? I don’t know how long the original web novel is but I can’t keep buying these books bc it only contains three chapters each 😭😭.
28 Dec. 21: Season 1 ends at Chapter 30. I’m not a fan of this particular “Lord Claude” and I wish Camellia would meet a decent potential partner instead, but it’s not going to happen, obviously, and instead she’s stuck with these people who have no respect for her boundaries whatsoever. It’s like they’ve never even heard of the word.
Another beautiful full colour edition to add to the series. More predatorial romance, more politics. Some of the characters' obsession with Camellia/ius is a little cringe. Red flags all around. I am curious to see where the series goes - I never read past these chapters on Manta.
OK so I gave this a 3 star because honestly, I remember what the story is about but I don't remember loving it but I also don't remember hating it either. I remember there being some funny parts in it so I guess until I reread this, I'll keep it at a 3 star.
I read the whole manwha in 1 day. I found the story really entertaining and couldn’t stop reading. I totally recommend. Can’t wait for season 3 to come out already!!
