It’s been ten years. I’ve waited for them. They’ve waited for me. And now they’re back. From prison. For protecting me. My knights in shining armor—Dylan and Levi. My boyfriend, and my stepbrother.
What they don’t know is how broken I am. How these years have changed me. And how, though I’ve tried to deny it for so long, I want them both.
It’s so wrong. No one would understand. And living under the same roof together, having these thoughts, it’s a ticking bomb waiting to explode. But, with the way they look at each other, and at me… Maybe they’re also willing to crash and burn.
Except, they’re not the only ones from the past who have returned. It’s come back to haunt me with a vengeance.
But make no mistake, they’re also willing to prove how far they’ll go. How many lives they’ll destroy. The crime they’ll commit again and again to keep me safe.
These monsters are dangerous…but they’re also mine.
From bestselling author R.D. Baker comes a tantalizing new dark why choose romance full of spice, twists, and a taboo relationship that’ll have you begging for more…and questioning your sanity.
Fracture is a dark, taboo, MMF romance that contains heavy themes some readers may find distressing
This book resonated with me beyond what I could even imagine, and every time I think about it I smile so hard and I blush lol🙂↕️
Dylan, Levi, and Stella have soul ties and I’m truly convinced that everything they went through made them find their way back to each other after 10 years. The way they mesh together so well emotionally and physically?! I was LIVING for the progression of Levi and Dylan’s relationship as well because they honestly deserved the best after all that happened.🥹
Stella is their glue, and she has this aura that draws people in. It even had me hooked too the entire time and could TOTALLY see why they loved her so much. The dedication, the drive, the honesty, the love, the darkness, THE SPICE?! Full body sweats, and idk if I was excited or jealous of them😂
This book was good! The storyline kept me on my toes throughout, it did get a bit slow in the middle but the action packed sequence in the end was good. The ending and how the guys got it scot free was a bit of a stretch though, and i hoped that there was more justice for the people that were on the ledger, but other than that, was a good book overall.
"Hey, pretty girl," I call out, and she ignores me.
"Sure." You fucking idiot that's the wrong answer.
'Don't take him from me. Let us finish this.'
'I found them, Dad. Just like you always told me to.'
It’s been ten years. I’ve waited for them. They’ve waited for me. And now they’re back. From prison. For protecting me. My knights in shining armor—Dylan and Levi. My boyfriend, and my stepbrother. ♡ This book had me in a chokehold from the first chapter. The twists and the turns, the angst!! Stella's survival, fight, and spirit felt so real to me. Their connection translated so easily on the page, they almost felt like real people. It's a dark and wonderful story, with a HEA and a healthy dose of revenge and love. (Fracture is a dark, taboo, MMF romance that contains heavy themes)
Thank you, RD Baker, for this ARC! Thoughts and opinions are my own.
Tropes: Morally Gray MMCs, why choose, MMF, sward crossing, brothers best friend, step brother, found family, second chance Spice: 🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️
After spending 10 years in jail, Levi (the step brother) and Dylan (the brothers best friend and ex) are released and are living with Stella (the step sister).
The first half of this book focuses on the navigation of intense feelings toward each other. The boys figured out that they are attracted to each other and Stella figured out she was not only still attracted to Dylan (who also happens to be her ex), but she's also attracted to Levi. Lucky for her, he has the same feelings. Unlucky for us, we get a whole lot of miscommunication, the word "sick" is thrown around a lot over their feelings, because he was her step brother (the parents aren't even together anymore and her dad is dead!!). But when they all finally got on the same page - powah fireworks. The spice was SPICING BRO.
The second half of this book is where we start to understand in more detail the horrific abuse that Stella went through. The involvement of her parents was wicked, and the boys standing up for their girl to get justice anyway they could was cute - but they were far from professionals.
I would recommend this book, you deffo feel all the feels from the characters. They were all so sweet.
This book has been amazing. The complexity of the relationship brteren the three of them is very present during the first half of the book. Step brother and brother best friend tropes at its best, and the emotions are very well written. The added element of rediscovering who they are years after it also makes the book very interesting and the spice in it is not too much and neither you miss more, the perfect balance between spice and plot.
To stay off by saying I enjoyed this book a lot. I loved the taboo element of it and the second chance love and family. The whole traumatic past of the fmc really brought strong emotions to the story and was detrimental in bringing everything together as a whole and bringing it to life. Couple times I was surprised but it made me enjoy the store more when I can’t guess what’s happening. Read triggers before reading
Fracture by R.D. Baker is a thrilling, addictive rollercoaster of dark romance, revenge, and forbidden love that I couldn’t put down! This story centers around Stella, a strong, successful lawyer whose traumatic past has left deep scars. Her journey takes a gripping turn when Dylan and Levi—her boyfriend and stepbrother—return from prison, ready to protect her at all costs and deliver justice to anyone who’s ever hurt her.
The taboo dynamics and complex relationships between Stella, Dylan, and Levi make for a riveting “will-they-won’t-they” tension that escalates into something undeniably powerful. Watching these three grapple with societal expectations, lingering guilt, and their undeniable passion is both thrilling and satisfying. When they finally give in to their desires, it feels so right and incredibly rewarding, defying all the doubts they each had along the way.
The suspense throughout the book is masterfully done, as Baker slowly reveals fragments of Stella's painful past, which kept me on the edge of my seat. The mystery surrounding the threats against her life adds constant tension, while Dylan and Levi’s fierce loyalty and thirst for revenge provide a gritty and cathartic satisfaction. Even the violent moments—though intense—are woven with a sense of justice that made me root for these two as they took on anyone who threatened Stella.
With complex, morally gray characters and a story that balances darkness with romance, Fracture is an unforgettable read for fans of dark romance and forbidden love. If you’re looking for a story with passion, suspense, and the thrill of justice served, this is it!
Let me tell you..the way that Dylan and Levi's attraction for each other and how they try to ignore it but a "this will only happen one time" turns into something more and I'm here for it!! Stella is battling the trauma she's experienced from people who will shock the socks off your feet! But don't worry..you'll read how good revenge is in this book!!
this was slow.. i thought it’d be a quick dark romance but it actually has sustenance and plot 💀 like why do i want that lol
also i didn’t even see that ending coming and i hate that this is a reality for most people, i think the author did very well speaking on the trauma of everyone.
I loved Dylan and Levi, and how they’d do absolutely anything for Stella. The story was insane. I felt so bad for Stella and everything she’s been through, but I’m glad she got her happy ending. They all deserved it.
4.5⭐️ This was such a good dark taboo romance. Dark and heavy themes, so check your triggers if you have any, but this was a good time. Well written and character development was on point.
3.75⭐️ I was surprised how much emotion there was in this story. Loved the relationship growth between the characters. Great spice, beautiful love story and engaging plot 🫶
Some parts could’ve been a little more descriptive instead of cut halfway through and just skip over the next scene. Good storyline and characters overall tho.
5⭐️ I swear that line got me giddy every single time. I enjoyed watching these characters reconnect after 10 years and figure everything out together. I adored the way their relationship grew. And obviously loved all the unhinged parts of them, too. The emotions that are brought out in RDs characters will always be one of my favorite things with her writing. The spice is always spicing with RD as well 🥵🥵 If you’re looking for a taboo with step brother, step brother’s best friend and step sister, definitely check out this one! Always check the TW, your mental health matters 🖤
Something happened to Stella. It was absolutely and horrifyingly unthinkable. After Dylan, her boyfriend and Levi, her step brother, find out about it, they take care of business and go to prison for it.
10 years have passed. Stella is now a lawyer and the boys are getting out of prison. She doesn’t know where they stand. They haven’t had contact for the whole time they were inside. They don’t know why. They don’t know all of her secrets. She doesn’t know all of theirs.
The boys come to stay with Stella and as they navigate coming to terms with all that has happened, the truth about past events and feelings all come out in explosive waves that will alter their lives even more.
After 10 yrs apart Stella, Dylan and Levi are finally reunited. Dylan and Stella were a couple and Levi, her stepbrother and 10 yrs ago the boys teamed up and murdered Stella's father when they found out what he had been doing to Stella. They thought she would be safe now, they never could have imagined what would have happened next or how much they would regret, not murdering her father, but getting caught and not being able to protect her. Now that the guys are out, they are all tiptoeing around each other because they all have feelings for each other that were never there before or were there but have changed into something new, something bigger. These three all deserve to be happy and fight hard to get to their HEA,
3.5⭐️ At first I was a little nervous only because of the fact that there aren’t a lot of reviews and people commenting on this book but this book really made me realize I need to read more “unpopular” books and not just books that people talk about on social media etc. I loved the female main character. Usually I’m really skeptical when it comes to them due to them being so self centered and having “pick me” energy. (I know cringe whatever) Stella really stood out to me mainly because she didn’t care about her situation or mainly made it a point to talk about herself which made me enjoy this book. ALSO LEVI I’m in love.
I knew that there would be a decent storyline considering both of the men went to jail (also considering they were in there for 10 years) but I was on my toes the whole time and I also really like how this writer writes.
The fact that Dylan and Levi got no jail time after all that was kind of a stretch in my opinion tho. Not really realistic but it’s a book so hey what do you expect.
At the end they end up kidnapping Gloria (Levi’s mom) and I really loved the scene with Dylan and Levi torturing the information out of her. That shit was hot. Also loved when Levi beat Micheal half to death.
“Levi rises to his feet, eyes on mine as he wipes the blood from his face.” In love with blood and men for some odd reason?
I also didn’t really expect the whole emotion aspect of it when it comes to the female main lead Stella but it really brought together the whole story. It also made it more understanding when it comes to how the 3 characters became a trio and got into the relationship. Trauma bonding? I don’t know.
Overall, I came here to have a good time and I did so no complaints here. (Other than a few at the end of this lol)🤷♀️
Spice level? 🌶️🌶️🌶️/5
The smut was pretty good in the beginning but I feel like at the end of the book it was super rushed so that was a major boomer.
The main cons for me:
The nicknames were not it for me.
The nicknames: - baby girl - Papi
I’m not into thatttt😭
I also felt like the ending was really rushed. Hated that.

First off, I have to stress that spicy books are not my thing. I don't like them, I don't enjoy them and it's just not something I'm comfortable reading.
What I do love to read, are R D Baker books.
She long ago became an auto read author for me with The Shadow and the Draw. I think I was drawn in by her writing style, the emotion she conveys on page and the world building she manages to create.
This one was different for me.
The others all revolved around a fantasy theme or a vampire dystopia theme, but this one was current and very real. I found the first half of the book showing me what my upper limits are when it comes to reading spice and some scenes made me a little uncomfortable with how real they were.
But when the book turned into a sexy thriller, I lost myself in the conspiracy and flew through to the end!
I will say this...
The content warnings in this book are as justified as any book could be. I personally don't require TWs but please read and absorb them before delving into this book because it is darker than dark.
Have to say, the themes may not be my go to read but RD has crafted another incredibly written book with rich characters and real emotion and proves once again how she deserves to be on a best seller list.
If you love dark romance and you aren’t reading RD Baker, what are you even doing? Contemporary romance isn’t typically my genre, but trust me when I say this book is unputdownable!
RD is a master when it comes to weaving heart shattering stories with deeply flawed, unapologetically human characters and plot twists that you just can’t get enough of.
Oh and did I mention she’s also a freakin’ goddess when it comes to writing the steamiest, you’ll-need-a-spare-set-of-panties-it’s-that-hot type of sex scenes I’ve ever read? Seriously, you’ll want to make sure your poker face is on point for this book, especially if you plan on reading it in public.
Levi & Dylan are two of the sweetest touch-her-and-die tattooed bad boys a girl could ever want and Stella is more than a match for both of them. She’s a sassy, bratty badass that pushes them both to their limits.
The characters are all incredibly flawed and traumatized and their journey is one of healing, self discovery and love—with just the right amount of revenge for everyone who deserves it.
It’s an amazing book and I am so very grateful to RD for allowing me to read an early copy. I can’t get enough of anything she writes!
This book deals with very dark themes, so always make sure you check the CW before reading.
𝑨𝑹𝑪 𝑹𝒆𝒗𝒊𝒆𝒘 This is my first RD Baker book and I could not put it down! This book had me intrigued from the beginning, trying to understand the dynamics between all the MCs, put the missing pieces together and was actually surprised at the twists. I love a book that can keep me on my toes! This had a twist I hadn’t come across yet, in previous books! The second half of this story completely had my heart! So much suspense, thrill, spice and revenge ❤️🔥
Fracture follows Stella, the FMC as she copes with her past, whilst being a successful lawyer. Keeping in the good graces of her family. Levi, whom is Stella’s step brother, and Dylan are best friends, who are freshly released from prison and are on an act of vengeance. The trio find themselves living together and trying to navigate the complexities of their relationships, from being a part for so long.
This was dark, emotional, forbidden, spicy, and above all, inspiring.
I had times that I couldn't stop reading, I feel for Stella and all of the horrible acts she was forced to endure. But I also had times I couldn't keep reading because I was just so mad at Levi and their stupid decisions, even if they were with the best intentions and out of love.
It's a well written snow burn romance, and it kept me on my toes for the big moment.
However, even tho the spicy scenes were 100000% spicy, and even tho I do love a good smut read, by the ending I definitely felt like some of those scenes could have been cut, the story line was so interesting and I was so intriguing and invested, so the page count could definitely been reduced.
The epilogue was also a little disappointed to me. After 3 whole years, I would have enjoyed finding a little more of the new life they built. Instead, we got another se* scene that lasted like 5 pages, and finally got any new information on the last 2/3 pages.
Overall, it was amazing, and if not for those 2 little points, it would have definitely been a 5⭐️ for me.
I had the honour of reading this book as an arc read, and loved every second of it.
Stella, Dylan and Levi have history. Stella and Levi are step siblings, and Stella was in a relationship with Dylan, who is also Levi’s best friend, that is until they were sent to prison 10 years ago for unaliving Stella’s father. They are released from prison 10 years later, and Stella lets them move into her house. She’s hoping things can go back to the way they were, but that’s not going to happen. Stella went through horrendous trauma whilst the men were in prison, and as it all starts to come out, so do the threats to Stella’s life Everyone’s feelings have developed too, and there’s a lot going on for the three of them. Can they make it work, and work through it together, whilst keeping Stella safe, and exacting revenge on the men that caused her so much pain? This book is dark, gripping and intense, but also beautiful, romantic and delves into a polyamorous relationship with three people who struggle with self doubt, and wanting to love those closest to them 🖤🖤🖤
"I found them, Dad. Just like you always told me to. I found them, and I’ll always be happy. Just like you said."
What a perfect way to end this book! This was the first ever MMF book I have ever read, and for it to be RD's book, it just makes it that much better. Her books are just getting better and better! The passion between these three was amazingly written, and I could feel the love and passion from each of these characters as if I were one myself in the book. The writing style and care put into this work is the best yet! Dylan constantly left me breathless, and Levi gave golden retriever energy that I loved so much. This book is a must-read for those who love why choose or need a gentle entry into it. I loved this book so much and gobbled it up so fast! I'll probably be reading it once again before it even comes out!! Thank you for giving me a chance to read it early. ❤️
This book was simply amazing! I loved it and it read really easy. It is heavy heavy on the sexual abuse the fmc live trough from early on in her childhood till she was a late teenager. It’s not described but it’s the main thing through the story.
But how it was put and what she experienced after it felt so real like a friend of mine told me her story. I had chills on my during this one.
I also love all the characters by themselves they have growth and learn things about themselves and hoe they acted int past. That said I do wish there was more growth in their relationship. For me personally it felt like i’ve loved you both for years and now we van finally act on it but they didn’t really talk with each other.
I do see they love each other and belong together just wish they had more actually sitting down and talking because of all the heavy things that happend in the past. Instead of ending in bed or running away.
Thankyou so much for having me arc read for you. I can’t wait to read more of your books🫶🏼
Fracture has been on my TBR for a while and I am so pleased I finally had chance to read it. You all know I love a why choose, love it even more when ⚔️ and add in emotional damaged characters and I am absolutely there.
Levi an Dylan are absolutely amazing MMCs - I could have happily read another load of chapters as they work out their relationship. Two MMCs who are as obsessed with each other as they are with the FMCs and their relationship was really beautiful.
Stella as the FMC was really lovely too - I just wanted her to be ok and have the life that she deserved. So pleased that Dylan and Levi were there to support her and have all the very protective vibes for her.
Loads going on with the plot as history comes back to haunt the three of them. It’s fast paced with loads going on and plenty of emotional turmoil to bring out all the emotions. Didn’t make me ugly cry but I felt all the emotions.
Fracture RD Baker ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 🌶️🌶️🌶️ “You’re the only one who makes my head go quiet,” This book is 🤌🏻 delicious ✨ The characters are 🥵 everything. The plot is incredible.
“You’re perfect. My perfect fucking chaos.”
The heartbreak, the spice, the banter. Everything about this book is great. I loved it so so so much.
“Anyone who puts a ring on your finger would be the luckiest person in the world.”
Dylan and Levi are so beyond perfect. The arch that Levi has is also sooooo great to watch happen, well, read happen but that sounds weird? lol.
“I wanted to come down here and remind you who you belong to.” I grasp her jaw in my hand, forcing her to look up at me. “I wanted to remind you that you’re better than all these fucking posers. Even if they think you’re slumming it with someone like me.”
Fracture is a stand-alone dark, dark romance. The FMC, Stella, has PTSD due to a traumatic past. A part that is revealed as the book progresses. Her step-brother and ex (kind of) are let out of prison at the beginning of the book and she is there to greet them upon their release. As they settle into their new lives, they have to navigate life and the changes that are happening within themselves and each other. I love a smokin hot biker boy and Dylan and Levi are equally 🔥. I adore how much they love each other and "their girl". The dynamics in this book were perfection. I enjoyed this so much and recommend to anyone who loves dark, taboo romance with lots of dark triggers. 🖤Second chance 💚Taboo 🖤 Bi-awakening 💚Touch her and ☠️ 🖤Spicy 💚MMF 🖤Multi-POV 💚PTSD rep 🖤Masked biker boys 💚Sassy FMC 🖤Intrigue/cover up 💚Queer rep 🖤Torture/gore ⚠️Check triggers warnings⚠️
