I DON’T WANT TO SLEEP

I JUST WANT TO FALL

THE SHADOWS ARE FULL
OF PURPLES AND BLUES

(AND I DON’T LOVE

AT ALL

AT ALL)

This is Emily’s sixth book and fourth poetry collection. The pieces were written when she was 23-25. During this period of her life we see her deal with poverty, relationships, endings and beginnings. She writes with sharp honesty about her mental illness and trauma. Though often melancholy the poems sometimes have notes of hope and looking towards the future. This multifaceted artist isn’t going anywhere. She’s just getting started.

I STILL CAN’T SLEEP

I REMOVE MY SHIRT

AND KISS SO DEEP
