Biggerhead

Rate this book
Biggerhead Lodge sits on a one-thousand acre ranch in the middle of beautiful Texas north country where conservative,Tea Party Republicans form a society whose sole focus is to depose the sitting President of the United States. Laugh out loud trying to separate truth from fiction. Follow Mitch, Paul, Eric, Sarah, Michele, Rick and John in a hilarious, fictional, behind the scenes look at how personal actions often contradict public statements. As the 2012 Presidential Election approaches social and cultural issues take center stage and these seven politicians intend to keep them in the spotlight. Biggerhead is a first rate "who done it" that is folded into a political satire. Plausible situations and credible conflict launch this parody on a joy ride that could have been ripped out of the headlines. Murder, sex, back-stabbing, and misuse of power all come together in a fun romp through the American political "tea fields" as Republicans try to deny the president another term in the White House.

About the author

William J. Atkins wrote his first full-length novel after thirty years as an international financial services executive. His life experiences in international sales and marketing exposed him to the cultural cross currents that feed the characters and places in his book. He is a graduate of Hobart College, where he received a bachelor’s degree in philosophy in 1975. He also studied Middle Eastern history at Franklin College in Lugano, Switzerland. In 1973, he was evacuated from Eilat, Israel, days before the beginning of the Yom Kippur War between Israel and Egypt. He fled to a kibbutz in Beersheba, where he was educated first hand about Israel's conflict with the Arab world. William and his wife Betsy split time between homes in Indiana, the Bahamas, and Canada. He is an avid fisherman and outdoorsman who kayaks, bikes, runs, and hikes as much as he can.
