Hello!
Thank you for stopping by.
The short story is I was born in Toronto, Canada. When I was 16, my family moved to Ft. Lauderdale, Fla., and that is where I met my wife, Bev.
We've been married for 43 years and share our home in Southwest Missouri with 4 dogs, 3 cats, 8 chickens, a herd of goats. We have 3 sons and 12 grandchildren that keep us hopping.
I've been known to ride my motorcycle in nice weather, play golf in nice weather, and tend my garden in nice weather. In bad weather, I prefer to stay inside. :)
Thanks to the support of you, our readers, I've been able to devote full time to my writing. Bev does our cover designs.
We hope you our books are enjoyable and you'll let us know.

God Bless, John & Bev

Dalglish Changes Gears, But Shifts To Another High Story

Reviewing this book has been with a heavier heart than with his Jason Strong Series and The Cities Series. Chloe's death was a very difficult book for me to read at first, having had two children in our family killed. But John Dalglish is such a superb weaver of stories that I was soon lost in it just as I have been with his other books. My CONGRATULATIONS to out to Mr. Dalglish on another book very well done. And again I repeat that I thank you the lack of bad language and appreciate the occasional verse of scripture. The cover art work fits very well with the story.

This book, Missing Chloe, was my first book by Author John C. Dalglish. I thoroughly enjoyed the book. It kept me on the edge of my seat and turning the pages. I didn't want to put it down. when I thought I had figured out who had committed the murder, I was totally caught off-guard. So if you want to find out who committed the murder, get the book and read it.

Compelling and clean.

I rated this book a 5 because it is a thoroughly interesting page-turner. I appreciate that this author writes cleanly. No f-bombs nor other crude wording, nor even a hint of a sex scene. I really appreciate this. Having read many of this author, I look forward to reading many more. Lord willing and the creek don't rise.

One of my favorite authors

It’s so nice to know that when I pick up one of John’s books that it will be intriguing and clean. I was not disappointed again. I’m pretty sure I’ve read all of his books and I highly recommend them

Good clean book!

It is very refreshing to be able to read a book without the sexual scene or foul language.

Would be very helpful if there was a section in all reviews about this.

Surprise!

Up til now, I had only read some of this author's City Murder books. So I had no idea what to expect with this book. It is a page-turner, and I had great difficulty completing other tasks that required me to put the book down! They are many twists and turns in the story that kept me guessing until the very end. Read it yourself to see if you agree!

Sad and Very Tragic!

I have read and enjoyed other series by this author and enjoyed them all. The City Homicide series, The Jason Strong Detective series, and Stone County Justice, all were entertaining, interesting and intriguing clean reads. This is the first in the Annie Logan Detective series, and I must say I found just as all of the previous books I have read by this very talented author.

It was however very sad and tragic for me, how circumstances and life can throw your whole world off kilter. The death of their 4 year old daughter caused not only profound grief for the parents but a riff in their marriage. Seeking solace from the anguish, grief and pain the father had a moments loss in judgement which led to more tragedy. Well written as all other books by this author, realistic characters and great attention to detail. SPOILER ALERT:
I had a suspicion that their 8 year old son knew more than he was telling, and while not actually causing the death of his sister, his actions played a part. The eventual unraveling of the facts, fatal actions and consequences played out in a suspenseful conclusion to a very sad and tragic story for an entire family.

Kudos to the author! You've done it again Mr. Dalglish!

This story tears at your heart from the very beginning. It is a parents worse nightmare and you can feel the devastation and sorrow of this family. Not only did they lose a child and have to cope with the guilt and self doubt, but with the effects of devastating bad decisions as well. With shades of Fatal Attraction this story has you on the edge of your seat. The author and narrator did an excellent job of making you feel the emotions in this story; the sorrow, pain, anxiety, anger and loss is heart wrenching. This is a well written and narrated story with real life emotions, reactions and problems, that you feel like you are experiencing along with the characters. A excellent audiobook with great twists at the end.

Excellent!!

Once again unbelievable. I would recommend to family and friends to read this book. There are always lessons to learn. Also I especially appreciate the clean language. So many books hurt my feelings with their choice of poor language. Thanks so much,

This book was exactly what I look for in a good murder mystery. I was interested on page one, and it held my interest from there. Lots of twists and turns. The book starts out with every parents nightmare, but there is so much more to this book then that. Five stars! I will be looking for more books by this author.

Deadly Secrets

Do you remember that movie where one partner cheated on the other. The lover sneaks in and Cooks a delicious dinner for the family? Turned out to be the pet bunny?

This isn’t a bunny boiler book. Close but with the twists and turns, you will be guessing to the end.
Was this a mistake in the killers part? I think so.
Good book couldn’t put it down.

A Good Clean Read

This book is proof that difficult subjects can be handled without profanity or graphic sex. A quick read that kept me turning the pages, even though I knew early on "whodunit." I would have liked more depth with the main character. I didn't get a good feel for who she was, but I will check out more from this author.

Deadly Secrets, Annie Logan book 1

3.5 rating. For me, the book started at chapter 12 with the murder investigation. I got bogged down in the victim's thoughts and pretty much figured out who the killer was going to be by his thoughts. Anyway, this is just my perspective. The plot was good, the outcome, sad. Still, a good story.

Who dun it will surprise you.

Very interesting story. Didn't expect a murder when this story began. To lose a child is horrible enough, then your husband is a bit much to handle. Weaving the details of this story keeps you from putting it down.I

Enjoyed

Even though I figured out who the killer was early on, I still enjoyed this book! I wanted to see how you were going to get there. I like Annie Logan and will definitely get the next book. Thank you for not cluttering your story with what I call blah, blah, blah!

great series

I really liked the way the book was like reading two stories in one book. The 1st part of Chloe’s death and then how it went into the deceit and how you could not be sure until the end what the affair was going to lead to.

Deadly Secrets

Love the "clean mystery suspense" books. Love the suspense build up that the author John Dalglish has in every book he writes, each book different from the others.

Actually the book hardly started until the 50% mark. After that it moved fairly well, but was basically straight forward. Wasn’t my favorite.
