Don’t Miss the Final Chapter of the Coral The Indomitable Ginger DelavieIn the final chapter of the beloved Coral Cottage series, Ginger Delavie takes center stage as Marina tries to unravel her grandmother’s extraordinary life. Ginger is a woman whose brilliance in mathematics and codebreaking took her across the globe, through the corridors of power and the glitz of high society. Ginger, now in the autumn of her years, decides it’s time to pen her story. She enlists the help of Marina, and her talented grandson-in-law, Jack, embarking on a journey that is as much about recording history as it is about discovering it.

From the dazzling soirées of Paris where Ginger rubbed shoulders with luminaries like Julia Child, to the charming streets of Summer Beach where she imparted her wisdom as a math teacher, Ginger’s life is a tapestry of adventure, intellect, and unexpected friendships. But as Ginger’s extraordinary story unfolds, so do the secrets she’s held close for decades.

And nothing will be the same again.

In a story of revelation and transformation, Marina, through her grandmother’s vivid recollections, finds herself on a path of self-discovery that challenges her understanding of family, history, and her place in the world. This final installment is not just a tale of a remarkable life; it’s a journey through the hidden corridors of a family’s legacy, revealing how the past can shape the future in the most unexpected ways.

Prepare to be whisked away on an enthralling adventure that spans continents and decades. Coral Memories is a testament to the power of memory, the enduring bonds of family, and the indomitable spirit of a woman who lived ahead of her time. This is more than an ending —it’s a passage to a treasure trove of history, heart, and the magic that lies within our own stories.

I enjoyed the story of Ginger she is the matriarch in the family and told her life story to her Grandson in law who is a writer and not only wrote a journey but recorded history as Ginger lived a very exciting life for a woman of her age and she also was extremely brilliant for a woman in her times. Ginger was able to do mathematics in her head and code breaking skills that took her across the world in powers and high society.
I highly recommend reading this book.
I received ARC for my honest review.

This was one great series of books and I loved them all. I can see one final novella of the wedding between someone who has been around for many years--hint, hint Jan. This is like saying goodbye to part of your family, you do not want too but your time together is over. So good bye to my coral cottage family. I am going to miss you as we have spend many, many hours together.

I loved hearing all of the stories about Ginger's life and all of her accomplishments she has achieved. For the time period she was a very strong woman and did everything she set out to do.

In the book Ginger says and I quote "If I am defined at all, let it be by my contributions, not my sorrows." This quote really hit me and it is something that we should all practice daily. On that note I end my review for this great book, thank you Jan Moran for another great series of books.

I am part of the ARC team for Jan, and I will be glad to leave my review.

If you have read the books in the Summer Beach: Coral Cottage series, then you have met Ginger Delavie already and, like me, have been waiting for this book to learn more about her life’s adventurous experiences as a young woman. If you are new to Jan’s books you can certainly read this as a stand alone book, as Ginger’s story itself is a testament to the strength of a young, smart woman in the 1930s, in a world where women’s talents were just starting to be recognized. But knowing the stories of all the wonderful characters in the earlier books in the series brings connections and insights to this family rich and love filled history.

Jan writes wonderful stories that just make you feel good as you read the last page. I am grateful for the chance to read and review her heartwarming books.

"Was it time to write her life story, or did she have adventures yet to live?"

This time we focus on Ginger, the anything but matronly matriarch of this lovely Coral Beach family. In this, the sixth book in the series,Ginger finally agrees to having Jack help write her extensive memoir. Leave it to Jan Moran to again have us be with Ginger and her many memories of challenging the system as she worked with codes and helped in the development of COBAL, up to and including teaching Summer Beach seniors about computing.

But when an old flame reenters her life will Ginger relight her life?

I have adored Jan Moran's work since I picked up her first book and this one is no different. I literally couldn't put it down! And then I wanted to read it all over again. Highly Recommended 5/5

This is book six of the Summer Beach: Coral Cottage series and is the final chapter of the matriarch of Coral Cottage, Ginger Delavie, as she takes us through her memoirs and the events of her life, that have led her to this point in time. Her life story started with her as a young woman, forced to help her brothers with their homework, so they could get placed into good colleges, with no hope of getting into one herself, with a father who was set in his ways and said her place was to get married and have children, whilst her brothers would have to support their own families and needed good jobs Luckily for her one of her teachers was very forward thinking and in secret with her mother, got her a job in the city, lying about her age, but knowing her knowledge of mathematics and solving puzzles would take her much further. Through her boss, she meets the love of her life, Bertrand, a career diplomat, and marriage brings her lots of adventures and a further progression of her career in codebreaking and lots of other secret stuff. Her eldest granddaughter Marina’s husband Jack has been asking for ages whether Ginger would allow him to write her memoires and she has decided that now is the time. He has just finished his latest project and she wants her granddaughters to know their family history. She has told them stories through the years, but not necessarily the whole truth about it all. The very cottage she has, and which started off Marina’s journey into opening her own café, was a wedding gift from Bertrand, and a place they cherished. A letter from the younger brother of her former boss, Oliver Powell, brings back memories and the sad news of her boss and friend’s passing Kurt. She is invited to a celebration of Kurt’s life, and this pushes her decision to tell all, well nearly all!

Marina now has a food truck on the go as well as the café and her sister Kai helps with a video shot, which they are going to use to promote the café and food truck, but also help with a new food truck she hopes to acquire shortly. Four generations of the family are in the video, with their third sister Brooke, and Ginger, as well as Marina’s daughter Heather. Ginger had been a big help with the café and Marina had used a lot of her own mother’s recipes in the café, whilst also changing them up a bit and modernising some, whilst experimenting what might work well together. A new idea is floated that soon has them all extra busy, just as another phase of Ginger’s life takes an unexpected turn, with a visit from someone she hasn’t seen in decades. An old friendship is reignited and maybe even more will come. Booke and Kai are pregnant at the same time so more additions to the family are going to be welcomed in, all as Ginger tells her tales of the past and continues her work championing young girls and women into mathematics, codebreaking and the sciences. She was well ahead of her time and certainly wasn’t meant for the life of a simple housewife and mother, as even her own mother knew and fought in secret to allow her to have a different life than her own had been. Family bonds are shown in a great light in this tale and the series as a whole, with a closeness many don’t have in this day and age.

I received an ARC copy of this book from BookSprout, and I have freely given my own opinion of the book above.

I received this book I exchange for an honest review. I thoroughly enjoyed this book, as I have all the other books in this series. This is supposed to be the last book, which I am sad about. I’m not ready to be done with Ginger, Marina and the rest of the characters. I hope Jan will change her mind and write more books for this series. I highly recommend this book and the whole series!

Having read nearly all of Jan Moran's novels, I can confidently say that each one has been a delightful journey, but "Coral Memories," the final chapter in the beloved Coral Cottage series, truly stands out. In this stunning conclusion, Moran brilliantly brings Ginger Delavie's story to the forefront, capturing the heart and soul of a character whose life has been nothing short of extraordinary.

"Coral Memories" centers around Ginger Delavie, a woman whose brilliance in mathematics and codebreaking led her to an adventurous life across the globe, navigating the corridors of power and the dazzling world of high society. Now, in the autumn of her years, Ginger decides it’s time to share her remarkable story. With the help of her granddaughter Marina and her talented grandson-in-law, Jack, she embarks on a heartfelt journey that is as much about unearthing forgotten memories as it is about discovering the truths hidden within them.

Moran takes us on a captivating journey from the glamorous soirées of Paris, where Ginger crossed paths with luminaries like Julia Child, to the quaint streets of Summer Beach, where she imparted her knowledge as a beloved math teacher. Through these vivid settings, Ginger's life unfolds like a rich tapestry woven with threads of adventure, intellect, and unexpected friendships. As her story comes to light, so do the secrets she has guarded for decades—secrets that promise to change everything.

This final installment is not just about Ginger’s incredible life; it's about Marina’s journey of self-discovery as she learns more about her grandmother's past. Through Ginger's vivid recollections, Marina finds herself navigating a path that challenges her understanding of family, history, and her place in the world. Moran skillfully intertwines the past and present, showing how the stories of those who came before us shape who we are today.

"Coral Memories" is more than just a conclusion to a beloved series; it is a tribute to the power of memory, the resilience of the human spirit, and the unbreakable bonds of family. Ginger Delavie's life is a testament to living boldly and without regret, and her story is sure to inspire readers of all ages.

Prepare to be whisked away on an enthralling adventure that spans continents and decades. This novel is a treasure trove of history, heart, and the magic that lies within our own stories. Jan Moran has truly outdone herself with this book, crafting a beautiful and poignant finale that will leave readers both satisfied and longing for more. "Coral Memories" is a must-read for anyone who has followed the Coral Cottage series, as well as for those discovering Jan Moran's enchanting storytelling for the first time.

Coral Memories primarily explains Ginger’s story. Ginger is the matriarch of her family and lives and works in close collaboration with her granddaughters and great-granddaughter. In this book, we learn much of Ginger’s history, from her childhood, through her work for the government, her marriage, and her life in Summer Beach. I’ve loved all of the books in this series, but this one very well might be my favorite. I loved all the background information.

It’s not only Ginger that this book centers on, there’s also her great-granddaughter Heather. Things are changing for her as she and her boyfriend Blake look toward the future. There are ups and downs for the young couple. Can they weather dealing with all that’s being thrown their way?

If all that’s not enough, Ginger’s family is growing in more ways than one. Everyone is pulling together to make the outcomes for everyone the best. And, of course, there are love interests for more than one member of the family.

The writing is excellent, filled with enthusiasm warmth, and delight in family and friends. The characters are, perhaps, at their most perfect for this series. Each one beautifully individual and well-drawn. As always, Summer Beach is the perfect setting, filled with charming and endearing people.

This is book six in the Coral Cottage series. It reads perfectly as a standalone, but if you want more background to understand all the relationships between people and history behind someof what’s illustrated in the book, the definitely go back and start the series with Coral Cottage, the first book in the series.

I loved this book, and I loved the entire series. I highly recommend reading Coral Memories.

I received an advanced reader copy of this book from the author. I thank her for her generosity, but it had no effect on this review. All opinions in this review reflect my true and honest reactions to reading this book.

Excellent!! This explains everything!?!

In all the Coral Cottage books there are many questions about Ginger Delavie's life before she took in her granddaughters to raise after their parents horrible accident. Jan Moran, who is a very entertaining and excellent storyteller wraps up all loose ends into a beautiful bow at the end of Coral Memories. Jan Moran always leaves you wanting just a tad more of the story. Although Ginger and her husband Bertrand had an amazing life in the service of our country, you are left with the feeling that Ginger might still be working on special projects for the government. Ginger who is in her eighty's decided it was time to have her memoirs written down. Since Jack, A Nobel Prize writer was between projects and had been asking for years to write about Gingers life, was her first and only choice to write the book. Reading snippets of Gingers life in the last five books, this one had touching stories including real facts of life that were really happening in our world during this time. Gingers life story wasn't the only book deal in the works, Marina's time to write a cookbook finally came to be with her daughters help. So many things happened in the space of this book, from new love, engagements, babies, expansions and lots of old friends show up. You really will want to read this thankfully not the end of the story book. I just found out there is another novella coming around Christmas.

I absolutely love all the series and single books that Ms. Moran writes, this one will definitely be among her best...you just have to read Coral Memories!!

What a perfectly wonderful and delicious conclusion to a delightful series! I’ve read all of Ms. Moran’s Coral Cottage and Seabreeze Inn books, and Coral Memories is my favorite. I love she focused this final chapter primarily on the extraordinary Ginger Delavie, the matriarch of the Delavie family. In the other Coral Cottage books, we get to know Ginger, but it’s more through bits and pieces (mostly as grandmother to Marina (proprietor of the Coral Café), Brooke, and Kai), with hints about her past as a code breaker, computer language specialist, statistician, math whiz, diplomat’s wife, and so much more. As a strong, brilliant woman in a “man’s world,” she soared, and even in her senior years continues to help other women succeed! Talk about a life well lived!

After saying “no” for decades, Ginger decides it’s time to get her memories down on paper, and enlists Marina’s journalist husband Jack to write her memoir (and yes, more than a few secrets are revealed). I really enjoyed how Ms. Moran would either devote entire chapters to Ginger’s story, or include it in other chapters that are present day and bring us up to date on the granddaughters and their families. She weaves the stories and plot lines beautifully. I’ve loved these characters and will miss them, but could not have asked for a better ending to their story.

Thanks to the author for the opportunity to read this advanced reader’s copy. I’m voluntarily providing this honest review.

Ginger Delavie has lived quite an exciting life and has finally allowed her story to be turned into a novel. As she tells her story to Jack, she relives all her precious memories weaving a tale that is wound with secrets, love, travels and her journey as a codebreaker as a young woman. But is her journey over? It looks like a new thrilling chapter is ready to begin.

As Ginger tells her story, the rest of her family is going on a journey of their own. Marina is busy with the café and now is writing her first cookbook. Kai and Brooke are busy juggling work and preparing to welcome two new babies into the family. There is also a new engagement on the horizon. It is going to be a busy time in Summer Beach.

I have always been a huge fan of the author Jan Moran. Her books weave together stories of family and their journeys. This sixth book in the Coral Cottage series was absolutely fabulous and I loved reading Gingers story throughout the book. There was a balance of going back in time and then seamlessly switching to the present-day story. This is one series I will miss but I am hoping to see these special characters again as Ms. Moran first introduced us to the Coral Cottage residents in her previous series Summer Beach. Thank you so much to the author Jan Moran for gifting me with an advanced readers copy which I voluntarily read and reviewed. This is one author friends you do not want to miss.

This is book six and the final book in The Coral Cottage series and it is Ginger’s story and what an amazing way to end this addictive series that has captivated so many readers myself included. Ginger has lived a full and exciting life while achieving and accomplishing so much for a woman in the 1930’s as a code breaker, skilled mathematician, traveled the world, a specialist in computer language, a strong woman in a man’s world and still to this day she is helping other’s while being truly remarkable and family orientated while still living a full life. When Ginger decides to write her memoirs it is Jack who is Marina’s husband who helps her in every way that he can because they have built a special connection by spending time together and in these memories secrets will be revealed and the family is so encouraging because they are all so close. New babies are due in the family and you get the added enjoyment of reading about the other characters and what is happening in their lives which adds a special touch to this book. This is the type of book that will pull you in and keep your attention throughout while turning the pages because it is so addictive and you will be unable to put it down. I am so sad to get the end of this amazing series and I can’t wait to see what Jan writes next and I will definitely be there to read it.

Don't miss the final chapter of the Coral Cottage: The Indomitable Ginger Delavie
In the final chapter of the beloved Coral Cottage series, Ginger Delavie takes center stage as Marina and her sisters unravel her grandmother’s extraordinary life. Ginger is a woman whose brilliance in mathematics and codebreaking has taken her around the globe, through corridors of power, and into the heart of high society.

This contemporary women's fiction, clean romance is page-turning with exceptional world-building in Coral Cottage with magnificent sunrises and sunsets that are vibrantly painted across the sky, the beach is pure tranquility and serenity all wrapped together in the warm sunshine, memories are shared, heartfelt emotions that will leave readers needing Kleene/Puffs to wipe their tears threatening to stream down their cheeks, family saga, final book in the Coral Cottage, dazzling sorres of Paris, action, adventure, and more. I recommend reading this book by an extraordinary author who knows how to captivate her readers' hearts and attention with coral memories and a sweet, clean romance that is sure to transport readers into a world of love and happiness as they delve into the last book of this series.

This was my favorite book in the series, even though I don’t want this series to end. I’ve read all of the books about Coral Cottage and Seabreeze Inn and they have all kept me captivated and waiting for the next book. In this final book, we finally get an in-depth look into Ginger’s early days when she agrees to let Jack write her memoir.

It was special to have so much of the book dedicated to Ginger Delavie. She was always a strong influence on her family, but in this book she stands out as we learn about all the contributions she made in her early life. She made her own life in a time when women weren’t encouraged to have a career. She worked hard and used her talents to help her country. You feel the special relationship that she had with her husband. And, then, it all comes full circle as Ginger meets up with an old friend and she finds that there are more adventures to come.

Each book in the series was a fun read as we learned about all the family and friends in Coral Beach. And even though it is the last in the series, this heart-warming book was a stand-out read.

Although I received a copy of this book from the author, this is my own, honest review.

Coral Memories was a page turner for me. I love Ginger and the Coral Cottage so much. I wish Summer Beach was a real place. Jans characters come alive while you are reading. We know a little about Gingers life but this time she is the main focus of the book. We get to see into her marriage with Bertrand and learn more about her coding and work. And Jan has given her a new outlook and purpose on life. Marina and her sisters are a key part of the story. Her cafe is growing and all the girls are engaged in a new endeavor, a cookbook and more online presence . Kai and Brooke are awaiting their babies. I hated to finish this book. I love the whole extended family.. Best read of the summer so far.

Ginger Delavie was always one of my favorites characters in the series but one that was a mystery to me, until this book. I’m so glad that Ms. Moran decided to write this book dedicated to her story and history. And what an amazing life she lived, from humble beginnings to dining and entertaining presidents, to being great friends with Julia Childs, the matriarch of the family has done it all.
This was a great book to read, full of love, warmth and laughter, but mostly of the unbreakable family tie that describes this family; from Ginger, to her grandaughters Marina, Brooke and Kai, to her great grandaughter Heather, each one of them a force on their own.
I’m sad to let go of this series, being this one the last book on it, but this book is a fitting one to be the one to end it.

Coral Memories is the sixth installment in the Summer Beach: Coral Cottage series by Jan Moran. I am a huge fan of her books and Jan did not disappoint with this installment. Readers of her books know that the characters across her series intermingle with each other. I love this feature. Coral Cottage focuses on Ginger and her family. Ginger is reflecting on her life and contemplating the need to share memories with her family before it is too late. In this latest, and final installment, Jan ties the loose ends together for this family while still leaving them as vital members of the Summer Beach community. You will love it. It is like coming home to old friends and catching up with them.

I have loved this series soo much that knowing this was the last in the series made me sad, but what a way to finish it with none other than finally knowing more about Ginger!
We have had amazing stories sprinkled through out this series as the sisters find love and what makes them happy in life so mixing that in with Heather and Blakes story was wonderful as we get the old memories with new memories being made.
This has absolutely one of my top book series of all time and could read it again and again.

The perfect ending for this wonderful series. Full of Ginger’s memories and hopeful new beginnings for Ginger and her family this book is an immensely satisfying read. While it is always disappointing to know there won’t be another book in a series, this book showed how a family grew and evolved. It also showed how the family would continue to grow and thrive. I hope you all enjoy it as much as I have.

A delightful story. The memories of how life once was for women was revealing and also uplifting. Nice to see someone do as they wish and utilize their abilities no matter what society expects of them. Wonderful to spend time with the entire family. I haven't read all the ones in this series, but have enjoyed the ones I did get to read. Thanks to the author for providing a copy of this one. My review is voluntary.

Sad to read this last book in the Coral cottage Series that I have so enjoyed. But it is fitting that Author, Jan Moran wrote Ginger’s story. The wonderful matriarch of the Delavie family. A woman who lived an unconventional life filled with love, joy, sadness, intelligence and secrets. She filled her days and nights with the spirit of adventure, exploration and resourcefulness. Ginger’s memories are not lost or packed away, but are told in this wonderful book for all to know and love.

The Delvanie family has thrived in the Coral Cafe series. Finally we get to hear about the extraordinary life of the matriarch ‘Ginger’ . I enjoyed the history of her life the glass ceilings she broke and rules she skirted. I hope that we continue to hear from these characters, perhaps making guest appearances in the other series set in Summer Beach.

Loved the entire series, but think this was my favorite! Loved learning about Ginger’s story - or as much as she was willing to reveal. This matriarch of the wonderful family is definitely a woman ahead of her time, who along with her many accomplishments (many of which she never received credit for), had to endure the heartache of losing her only child, and taking over to help raise her amazing granddaughters. Loved reading this entire series, and highly recommend.

Coral Memories is the sixth and final book in the Summer Beach: Coral Cottage series. I cannot believe that this is the end, as I have so enjoyed this entertaining, heartfelt, and character driven series. The Delavie family is one big heart hug that envelopes you fully, sweeps you away, and takes you on an emotional journey with each book.

A beautiful, well written story that ties together this family and their history of perseverance and love. The main story is the back story of a courageous, intelligent woman who helped her country quietly during the cold war and was one of the hidden assets that weren't given their due simply because they were women. A fascinating read!
