War! The Kingdom of Penn and the Queendom of Georgia have reignited their centuries-long feud for control of the New World. All along the frontline, the forces of Penn have faltered and been pushed back. Only Rhett Allen in the small hamlet of South Boston stood his ground. Even better, he won. With the Georgian vanguard defeated and the heir to the Georgian throne in his custody, he’s offered hope to a nation mired in defeat.
But standing his ground won’t be enough to win this war. To make use of the new prisoner, he must get her to Philadelphia where the King and his court can leverage her capture to shift the tides of battle in their favor.
Too bad Rhett and company are almost surrounded, and getting all the way from Southern Virginia to Pennsylvania is no picnic. Rhett has a disgraced Lord General coming for revenge, and incompetence within his own ranks to deal with. Then, there is the whole matter of how his unborn child with the Summer Ambassador threatens the balance of power among the Sidhe of the Tuatha Dé Danann. Autumn is on the hunt, and she will not stop no matter what country Rhett is in.
With all of these forces aligned against him, it will take all of Rhett’s new power and old, Thirdborn cunning to complete his mission and ensure Penn's victory.
I am loving this story. I can't wait for it to get the audio treatment. We finally get rid of that pesky little agreement that was forced upon our main character in the last book. There's No Illusion that that is going to come back and by our character in his backside. This book however was dominated by the war in the New World. There was quite the surprise towards the ending half of the book. I didn't expect it. Sometimes authors or a little lackadaisical with those and thus they're easy to spot. This one wasn't. I'm kind of talking around things cuz I don't want to risk spoiling anything for anyone. With that I'll simply say Well done to everybody who had a hand and bringing this story to us, the Amazon readers. I eagerly await the sequel.
I have been waiting for a long time for the continuation of this story and the timing of the story of the king’s protection and the failure of our own secret service was very not lost on me but aside from that this is a very good read but alas anything from g s dmoore is always a great read
This was a really interesting and intriguing plot in book 3. The world building is outstanding, and the characters are all interesting. The capture of the Princess of Georgia was a great plotline, and I am really interested in seeing where the author takes this.
The only reason it gets 4 stars is that the editing is subpar. The author has a bad habit of picking the wrong homonym.
I really love this whole series and this was an amazing addition. Lots of action, lots of battles and intrigue. Villains you love to hate and heros who succeed against all odds. I can’t wait to see what happens next.
How can each new offering just get better! I read the first book and thought, OK this is pretty good. The second book just polled me in further! The third book is nonstop action and growth in our character. Please hurry with book 4. I'm totally hooked.
One of the best and most exciting book series I have read!
This was such an amazingly well written and beautiful saga by G.S. D’Moore! I couldn’t stop reading once I started. Please continue it with as many books as your mind can conjure. At least publish book 4, ASAP!
Great character development, lots of violence, some kinky sex scenes, and true heroes. What's not to love? I need more of this series! When is the next book due?
