Kyla entrusts her Indian-inspired clothing line to Griff’s Tucson marketing firm and her heart to a man who fears yielding his own. Together they preserve a precious legacy, discover her past, and build her business. Here, in the magnificent Arizona desert, Kyla finds her heritage, her home, and her heart’s desire. But can she win the heart of the macho cowboy with the awesome power of love?
Chicago-raised Kyla Carrillo moves to Arizona for a fresh start and to connect with her Native American heritage. She also immediately connects with handsome Griff Chansler. Her troubled past is not far behind, endangering her dreams and her new life.
It was nice to see characters who are not one-dimensional. Griff is comfortable with all things cowboy, but also a marketing executive and skilled photographer. Kyla has Hispanic and Native American ancestry, but displays the ignorance concerning Southwestern rural etiquette too often found among Eastern tourists. Readers will enjoy experiencing (or re-discovering) the delights of desert living through her eyes.
I enjoyed this book. Two people who compliment each other nicely. The first kiss was beautiful and almost as descriptive as the scenery if fact every thing in this book was well described all the way to the old lady's hands I usually get my books free or discounted I enjoy reading from new authors and this was well worth my time!
