I’d always planned to find someone to share my life with. Someone who wanted what I did. A sweet sex kitten who loved to play. I screwed that up one night in Vegas.
Married on a dare was the worst decision I’d ever made, but I had plans to fix it. I had my business, friends, and more wealth than God.
And now I had temptation. The sweet young waitress at my favorite diner thought she could be my “secret admirer” and I’d never know.
Fate brought her into my work and home, and I knew she was the key to the life I wanted. I’d play her little game of cat and mouse and then have her in my bed, begging for release.
Ivy Penn is a multi-genre romance author who has a macabre sense of humor and loves horror movies. Growing up as a single child, she was often lonely and began creating characters to entertain herself. Now she shares her stories with her readers. Dark, morally grey, sweet, or dirty. Her belief is that all stories bloom in thier own way. She lives in the midwestern United States with her husband and daughter. Her hobbies include drinking coffee, video games, and cooking.
Loved it. This was about Abby and Mitch. Mitch and his buddies went to Las Vegas to play poker. The waitress Helena who was taking care of Mitch and the guys, Chuck dared Mitch to marry her. So they got married. When they went back to his house she didn’t do anything that she said she would. But he luckily had her sign a prenup so if she cheated or anything she wouldn’t get anything. Mitch had met Abby at her job at the diner and he thought she was attractive. She liked him as well. This was a great book. I loved Mitch and his buddies.

It is not very often lately that I have been reading contemporary stories but the blurb on this one was very intriguing and this is my first time reading anything by this author. This is a dark romance with dubious morality and graphic sex, including multi-partner, masturbation, and voyeurism. There is elements of grooming and an abusive situation as well, and domestic violence that the FMC deals with as well, so warning to those who may be triggered by this.
The MMC, Mitch, is an older wealthy businessman, who bases his success on his sex business, which includes toys and porn. Despite his wealth and success, he seeks a loving relationship with a woman who shares his sexual appetites, but wants him for himself, not his wealth. Unfortunately, he married hastily to a woman who has turned out to be the very opposite of what he wants, and he is stuck until he can find a way out.
The FMC, Abby, is a hard working young waitress in Mitch's favourite diner, who has been crushing on him from afar. However, she is also stuck in an unhealthy relationship, and her friend and coworker has been trying to get her to move out. Things come to a head in that department and she gets free, ends up living with her friend while the both of them get second jobs cleaning. Ironically, the wife of her crush hires them to clean his house and business.
This is a dark story that involves a bit of stalking, and spying, as Mitch and Abby both work around their situations and their attraction to each other, including conspiring to prove his wife is cheating and working against Mitch with one of his friends to cheat and embezzle from him.
This is sexually graphic, dark, and there is definitely not a happy ever after for Mitch's enemies in this story - but definitely Mitch, Abby and a few other friends have a few happy endings (and yes, I mean *those* kind of happy endings) and Mitch finds his dream woman after he gets rid of the barriers in his way (and yes, I do mean gets rid of). This is not a sunshine happy romance; this is dark, and there are allusions to criminal/mob activities as well as to what I mentioned above - but it is oddly romantic in it's own way, and definitely an engrossing read. Definitely different from what I usually read, and kept my attention!
This book caught my eye with its intriguing premise. I found myself thoroughly engrossed by Mitch's story and his drunken, ill-fated decision to marry a woman on a dare, which spirals into the most catastrophic mistake of his life—no surprises there! Mitch, the owner of a successful business empire selling everything from sex toys to custom furniture and even in-house porn, has a voracious appetite for life, mirrored by his sex drive. Yet, ironically, his wife is anything but adventurous, leaving him unfulfilled and frustrated. Enter Abby, a waitress at Mitch’s favorite diner, who, despite an unhealthy relationship with her step-dad, Phil, manages to retain a sense of innocence and naiveté. Abby’s unspoken crush on Mitch takes a surprising turn when she becomes further entangled in his life, when she needs a second job and his wife hires her to clean their home. The plot thickens when Mitch receives a grainy photo suggesting his wife’s infidelity—an anonymous tip that turns out to be from Abby. Although it was a bit stalkerish, Mitch withheld the fact he knew the identity of his secret admirer and used their clandestine text exchanges to get to know her better. However, the story took a bit of a nosedive for me once Abby and Mitch were finally on the same page, because while it might seem noble that Mitch wanted to wait until his divorce was finalized before sleeping with Abby, his moral high ground felt shaky when he was perfectly fine with letting his friends have their way with her, including double penetration. What’s more the introduction of Mitch’s mafia associates seemed to come out of the blue—almost as if the author was trying to reinforce the tired trope that the sex industry must have criminal connections. All in all, despite its flaws, the story had enough steamy and even romantic moments to keep me hooked and although the narrative may not be perfect, it certainly makes for a captivating read. First time reader of this author. The author gave some disclaimers about what to expect. However, I didn’t expect the pedo/grooming, sex with a barely legal yg lady that came after coming out of an abusive, Stockholm’s situation. There were several sexual situations that came into play after some really weird, exploitive situations that would be traumatic for the average person (ex: sexual after being drugged by some another man that was attempting to SA the FMC). Those should have been trigger warnings. It played out like a bad porno in some spots. Sex would just happen out of no where while I was trying to figure out what I missed that we are having sex, and if the “gray areas of consent” made sense. It didn’t feel like just age gap, more like a yg lady that was taken advantage of after being in a bad situation. Maybe I have a different idea of dark romance.
The parts of the actual storyline started ok, but was secondary to the sex scenes. The main points of the storyline were not cleared up well. Like what happened with FMC mom & the FMC, why the month long break at the end of the book with the MCs, how old was the MCs, power dynamics, etc. The MMC did not come off as the romantic hero to me, he seemed more like the next creeper taking advantage of this young, naive girl that had been SAed/coerced thru most of her adolescence and teen years. Though, this one didn’t do it for me, if you are into the mostly erotica, dark, “spontaneous” intense sex with lots of kinks & very little story- this will do it for you.

This book? This unholy, delicious, morally corrupt masterpiece?? It reached into my chest, gripped my dark little heart, and whispered, “you like it here, don’t you?”
First of all—MITCH. Sir. You cannot just be rich, obsessive, emotionally damaged, and built like sin. That’s ILLEGAL. And yet here he is, in his custom suits and morally gray glory, watching from the shadows like a total menace and somehow making it hot.
And ABBY?? A whole queen. Broke, exhausted, surviving on fumes and coffee, and still manages to be desirable, complex, and ready to bite back. I want to hug her, scream at her, and also maybe be her.
This is not a romance. This is a crime. A sexy, thrilling, stalker-coded, justice-served-on-a-silver-platter crime. There are red flags EVERYWHERE and guess what? I collected them like trophies. Smiling. Blushing. Kicking my feet.
⚠️ TW: abuse, grooming, stalking, manipulation, criminal activity ✅ CW: MULTIPLE happy endings—take that however you want 😈
I will never recover. This is the kind of book that ruins you for soft men and healthy decisions.
Mitch said “I want you.” I said “take me.” Ivy Penn said “you’ll suffer.” I said “YES MOTHER.”
If you like your romance unhinged, unfiltered, and morally bankrupt, Undone will wreck you in the most satisfying way.
This is the second book I've read by ivy penn and I liked this one aswell. It's jaw dropping, heart pounding, palms sweaty kind of read. It's a crazy journey that has a few surprises along the way. I was drawn in from the start never wanting to put it down for a second. I was invested in their story. It's packed with action, stalking , darkness, multi partners, marriage failure, grooming , drama, some sensitive subjects and loads more. The characters, storyline and plot was epic. The author done a great job with these characters, their world and their journey. Abby and Mitch was amazing. I just loved them.
⚠️PLEASE CHECK THE TRIGGER WARNINGS BEFORE READING! THERE IS HEAVY DARKNESS AND BREECHES SENSITIVE SUBJECTS! IF YOUR FINE WITH ALL THAT THEN I HIGHLY RECOMMEND IT!! ⚠️
Undone ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Ivy Penn Abby and Mitch When Abbys mom dies, she ends up living with her stepfather. He ends up grooming her until she’s old enough after a couple years she decide she’s had enough. Mitch the owner of a sex store in and in a loveless marriage decides, he needs away out of his loveless marriage. At a diner, where Abby works Mitch comes in with a coworker and fireworks are felt from both sides. This book explores the dynamics between the two as their paths collide, and their pasts interfere with where they want to go. Will these two end up together happy or will their pasts be too much? Make sure to read the trigger warnings as you may find this book triggering.
This is a spice forward romance. It’s not open door - it’s open floor plan!
Mitch owns a s3x toy company that also makes movies. He is living his worst nightmare being married to Helena. To be removed from the situation he either pays a lot of money or catches her cheating.
Abby has been with her stepdad since her mom passed away. He groomed her. There is references to it in the book but it’s not in-depth. Luckily she has a best friend that is supportive and amazing to help her. Abby has obsessively watched Mitch as he came to the diner she works for the last year.
When she makes a discovery she reaches out to him from a burner phone and that’s when things get interesting.
I am the complete opposite of Undone as in utterly unraveled! I am full on addicted & dependent on Ivy Penn's writing. I need her books like I need air in my lungs. Here is another extraordinary example of great plot and lascivious spice. The tension building is 😘 *chef's kiss*. Mitch and Abby are such a great compliment to each other in their relationship. I absolutely love the White Knight effect Mitch has with keeping to his agreement until the proof is in the pudding, then it's all bets are off!! 🥵 I would love to have another book or series with all of Mitch's friends within his company *wink, wink, nudge, nudge*. 🤞
Abby craves experiencing all there is with her sexuality. She wants the spice and Mitch delivers. Mitch is an interesting character. He has some high morals, which I appreciated seeing. He doesn't want to start this relationship with Abby on the wrong foot so he really tries to get everything in order before moving forward.
There are a lot of moving parts with this story, but it didn't feel overwhelming. There are secrets and deception very prevalent throughout the story.
Undone is my first book by Ivy Penn and I enjoyed her writing style: dark edges, unashamed debauchery, and morally gray with redeeming qualities. Mitch and Abby are intensely attracted to each other, but have the maturity to be patient. I loved the bond between each character’s friends and how supportive they were. I was sad when the story ended because I want more!! Great book!!.

Undone is steamy read that burns up the pages. Mitch realized his mistake in Vegas shortly after getting home. Now he is waiting his time to end his marriage to a woman he does not love.
Abby is working hard to survive, taking on three jobs. Only to realize the one man that is her fantasies will bring them all together.
Good quick pace read with a lot of heat, lies and truths.

Yes sir, Mr Harrington! Hot damn! Ivy penn you’ve done it again! Another hot and steamy read I absolutely could not put down! Kudos to Mitch on how he kept his “promise.” When he was able to unleash his desires for Abby, I was a flustered mess in the best way! I would love to read more about their closest friends, Chuck and Melody. Yummy! This is so well written and the story flowed so well. I don’t know how you do it, but please don’t stop!
I enjoyed this story more for the spice than the plot. Although there was a HEA at the end, some things that were mentioned could be triggering for some and there were parts of the story that I wished were touched on in more detail.

Abby has had a crush on Mitch for a while and he has noticed her but he was married and just waiting for the right moment to end it. Lots of spicy moments with plenty of steam but that didn’t detract from the love they had for each other.

This book was entertaining from the first word. it hasn't gotten enough hype and is better than most highly anticipated books. I don't know Ivy Penn but I'm going to check out her other works. I loved this one!
Loved this book so much! It’s fast paced, spicy and the story is different in so many ways. It was like a dessert book and hit all of my cravings at once! Loved it and can’t wait to read more from this author!
This was Mitch and Abby’s story. I thought this was an interesting cat and mouse book. And voluntarily leaving my review. This was a new author, for me.
