Rate this book
You’d think a goth dressed head-to-toe in black would be my kind of gal. But au contraire! Elvira is one fanatic who inspires me to flee in the opposite direction.

Against all odds, she manages to entrap me on her boat she’s christened Amore Reaper. While she’s scheming to tie the knot with me in a lavish ceremony on Italy’s picturesque beaches, I’ve got other plans. Either I escape or face my doom as Mr. Elvira forever.

Will I finagle my way out of this debacle and keep my reaper pride? Find out when you take a wild ride with me from Costa Rica to the shores of the Mediterranean in this morbidly hilarious romp!

A Morbid Obsession, a Grim Reaper comedy Adventure by Riya Aarini, The grim reaper is baffled he keeps getting red roses sent to his apartment and there’s a lot of them. He doesn’t know who his secret admirer is but he has other things to worry about his boss Death, has a tsunami planned for Valentine’s Day and so he cannot take out his girlfriend Life. Grim is more than happy to take her out for his boss however because Grim has a secret he has a humongous crush on his bosses girlfriend Life after Grimm and Life‘s fun night out he soon learns who his admirer is in the revelation couldn’t be worse he is kidnapped in force to Puerto Rico in a lavish villa when he finally gets the chance to leave he learns his admirer has something he doesn’t want anyone to see and they also have his cell phone, he can replace the phone but if the other thing gets out he could lose his job something he absolutely loves. I didn’t want to say who the secret admirer is because OMG I was shocked this book is so funny I especially love how despite the fact Grim Reaper is a skeleton he still blush’s, but that is just one of many funny things in the book like when his admirer kept calling him Mia more… You’ll have to read the book to know why it’s so hilarious I love this book and definitely recommend it if you love funny paranormal stories then you’ll definitely love this one I didn’t know what to expect when I started it but OMG couldn’t of been happier with it all. #HiddenGems, #RiyaAarini,##Amorbid obsession,

Simply fun! I smiled the whole way through this delightfully absurd story of crazy love, and at some points almost giggled at the poor Grim Reaper.

Not a book to overthink or analyze, just sit back and enjoy the ride!

I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.

This is a quirky and unique story about the Grim Reaper. He loves his job, and wants nothing more but to please his boss, Death. However, the universe may have other plans for him.

This was a very fun tale, it was entertaining from beginning to end, I felt bad for our main character and wanted him to escape the situation he finds himself in!

I thought it was written very well, from the dialogue to descriptions of the surroundings. There was twists and turns that will also keep you intrigued!

It's humorous, strange, and just overall a fun time!

3/5

Wow, this book is way over hyped as a romantic comedy. I found nothing at all humorous, the story line didn't really lend itself to humor and I honestly couldn't see any quipping or snark or anything else that made it comedic, even darkly comedic. This is more a novella and it lacks a lot of detail to rationally explain how the reaper wasn't missed by Death for "weeks". Who was doing Reaper's job? Surely souls were stacking up. I managed to last until page 90 of 100. I just didn't care at that point to go any further.

I received my copy from Netgalley in exchange for my honest review.

I was hoping for this book to be more funny than it was. It's a cozy story of the tables being turned on the Grim Reaper who works for Death. The Grim Reaper has been kidnapped by Elvira. Elvira is madly in love with him. The story was quaint.

The cover art is adorable

Thank you, Riya Aarini

Looks like Reaper is Death’s stand in for all the holidays…not that Reaper is complaining. Until Elvira gets him in her clutches. She is a nasty piece of work. I do wonder how long it would take until Death noticed that Reaper wasn’t fulfilling his afterlife duties. I love this series! It is just so much fun to read!

This is such a funny tale about death and life going on a date. It is not going to be easy as a goth vampire wants life to marry him. Death needs to step in and help. A really funny tale

Absurd, silly, fun, and mildly thought provoking. If you're looking for something light and entertaining, give it a try. If you're looking for a well written bit of prose and deep philosophy, this book is not for you.
