The worst body betrayal syndrome I’ve ever read. To start he offers her half a million to sleep with his friend for the most ridiculous reason ever. Then proceeds to have 3 guys himself included fuck her which is already a red flag.
She supposedly uses this money to ‘better’ her life but spends it on new clothes and a £50k/semester college. Before that she was going to attend a cheaper college for 7 years (bachelors and masters) for the career she wants. But once she’s at the expensive school she mentioned she won’t need to major her safe majors which was IT or finance both of which does NOT require a masters degree to get a decent job. And then she decides she won’t even declare her major until possibly her junior year so she can explore other opportunities which realistically doesn’t leave enough time to finish her major (once she declares it) in the four years so she’ll probably have to extend her stay.
Then she coincidentally sees the guy who bought her again at a posh gathering and while she’s in the (men’s) bathroom he barges in and immediately fingers then fucks her. Not one single protest from our girl. Not even when all the other men start coming in and the guy asks if she rather the other men just watch or line up to fuck her like the whore he sees/calls her as.

This book was a wild, steamy ride that had me glued to the pages. The spicy scenes? Absolute fire. They were super hot and well done, even if hotwifing isn’t my usual vibe. The plot kept me going, but it was a bit light on details and felt rushed. I wanted more meat to the story and a longer book to dive deeper. Still, it was a fun, quick escape that delivered on heat. Her sexy world full of sharing and group activity blends heartwarming tight knit, loyal friendships and rock solid romantic relationships.
Callum knows right away Liv is perfect for him, she just needs a little convincing. What I love about Darcy’s world is the way she can craft characters with…different…morals that are pleasant and kind to most people, saving the questionable actions for those that deserve it. Callum isn’t ham fisted in his dominance, gently guiding her into his world…with the understanding that he will not take no for an answer. Liv, once accepts her nature, doesn’t need much convincing.
I would categorize this as Heritage adjacent - no mention of the club, but the rules seems to be the same - kiss and don’t tell, consent is crucial, couples are committed, and everyone knows the score.
Absolutely fun read, perfect for Heritage fans and a great introduction to Darcy’s fantastic world!

3.5 stars. As a big fan of all of Emm Darcy books i am maybe slightly disappointed in this one. I guess my main issue is the lack of conflict. He wants to buy her, she plays a bit hard to get and then says yes. He likes her and wants her to be his girl. She agrees very quickly. He steals her from class and she’s happy to go. She thinks he will get bored and The conflict with not wanting to move in was resolved super quickly through external means rather than internal couple conflict. She struggles after the attack for like half a page, he gets her help in the next page.
Or maybe i am just expecting too much for a 160 page book where you don’t have a pre story(pre existing conflict) the way you do in Snowed in which is similar length.
Overall, sweet quick story following the royalty from Anderia. Just a bit too sweet for me

Intriguing read 3.5
This story was…different. Not at all my normal type of read and will do my best not to knock the book because of it. Emm Darcy CLEARLY states in the trigger section what you should expect, it’s not the books fault it delivered what it said it would.
I don’t really know how to review this. The storyline was solid and really drew you in. The plot never got boring and kept me reading well into the morning. Most of it was great, I just couldn’t wrap my mind around the sharing and lending out. I can devour a RM with no shame or angst but a story about the H loaning, allowing others to watch and randomly join? Aw, no. That’s what happened throughout this story. I need my H to be EXTREMELY possessive with touch her and 💀vibes.
All in all, I definitely stepped out of my comfort zone with this one and going to quietly step right back into it. Maybe I’m just not ready for a book of this caliber. 🤔

Una lectura culposa. Creo que es una historia con más potencial, pero al ser tan corta se limitan muchos temas y se queda en algo netamente morboso.
Hay personajes secundarios interesantes.
Ella baila en un club para adultos y un hombre de mucho dinero y de la nobleza la contrata para que se acueste con su amigo y se de cuenta del error de casarse con su hermana. La propuesta es muy indecorosa, pero le proporciona los recursos para enderesar su vida, por lo que acepta. Ella entra en un círculo elitista de la universidad y coincide con él. Lo que ella no sabe que él se obsesionó de ella desde la primera vez.
Una historia muy básica.

I was pretty torn on 3 or 4 stars. The smut and pacing was good. A fun short read. The characters were likeable but they weren’t fleshed out enough for me to love them. I would have liked more fight from the FMC on moving in together and the MMC more manipulative
The father arc was also quite basic.
I thought the ending came too abruptly - the sudden jump to the epilogue made it seem like scenes were missing in between. And I didn’t like how the bonus chapter was set up for another couple’s book - seemed random, forced and unnecessary

My second Emm Darcy book. I passionately hated the first book of theirs that I read but I gave this one a try. Swinger tropes aren’t for me, but I like to read things out of my realm of preferences, and I didn’t mind this. What I liked about this one was that both MCs were very into every scene where they sexual with other people. Everyone was enthusiastic about that part.

Mmm que puedo decir… si quieres leer algo “ligero” sin tanta construcción de personajes o historia, está bien. Creo tenia más páginas de las necesarias, teniendo en cuenta que el tiempo pasaba rápido en algunas ocasiones. Es divertido en momentos, y eso hacer que sea fácil de leer también rápido.
Lean las advertencias, son claras así que saben a lo que van.

I love books by this author and this one did not disappoint! Standalone, but set in an already established world, Callum and Liv were smokin hot together. The what would you do for a whole lot of money premise meets some unintended consequences. Watch your triggers. 🌶🌶🌶🌶🌶

I saw another review that called this "golden retriever darkness," and I feel like that describes Callum (MMC) perfectly. There are obvious issues with the contents of this book, but that did not stop me from thoroughly enjoying it. This was not heavy on plot. I really enjoyed the characters and the writing, along with the main point of this book, which was the smut.

I loved this book! I can’t wait for the next! I’m not great at writing reviews for books but I will say it’s a bit different from the other May Sage/ Emm Darcy books I’ve read. I think this one is a bit lighter compared to the other ones. Either way I loved it and really love this author. I’m excited for the other books to come!

I enjoyed the book. I wasn't too big of fan of the heroine in this one. I liked Liv in the beginning, because she stood on business, but after that I felt like she caved too easy. Still good read though.

I love both authors but this was not it for me. It was a quick read with no character development and a story line that didn't challenge or cause mystery th conflict.
