Storm is an impulsive, dangerous guy. But his love for Ashby makes him also sweet and very caring. Ashby is a sweet soul, and he needs Storm very much. It's definitely a codependent relationship, but who needs healthy anyway, right 🤭
The spice was on point, and their need for one another was so much fun 😈

MM Step-brothers & a criminal organization they work for. Not my thing but, it had a good pace & consistency. MMC Storm isn't very logical or tactical, won't make a good leader, & could have killed one or more, of the good guys with his last "entrance". Also, I'm not a fan of the thought that the more macho bull-💩 the behaviour/dialogue is, the more a guy shows he cares.

Ashby is trying to put the pieces of his life together after the man who promised him forever left him 2 years ago. So, to keep himself busy he works in his stepfather's criminal organization and hangs out with his BFF Atley when he's not working.
When a kidnap attempt is made against Ashby; Storm shows up out of the blue like a wrecking ball. Storm is pure unadulterated chaotic, toxic masculinity at its finest. He is obsessed with Ashby and beyond protective but there is a reason he left Asby years ago and now realizes that his obsession for him is too great to ever leave him again.
Seeing that Ashby is ok but not ok because the abductors took his BFF in haste; Storm pulls out all the stops to bring the love of his life BFF home safely no matter what it takes.

This is is a really good book. Ms Juniper did not hold back. Very well written and this short story is amazing as well as intoxicating. These characters had me longing for the both MCs to make it through.
So Ashby is working and has his life pretty together (job is questionable) when there is an attempt to kidnap him as been made. When Storm comes out of nowhere after over 2 years of being gone to save Ashby. Ashby is safe however; Ashby's friend has been taken and so comes the massive force that is Storm. Storm will do anything or break anything that gets in his way of getting Ashby's friend back safe. The obsession Storm has for Ashby is intense and I like it!.

"Poison" may be on the shorter side, but that doesn't mean the author chose to skip scenes in the spice department. This MM stepbrother story is filthy in the best way, and I believe it's the perfect mix between all of this author's previous work. The darkness matches most with her ongoing why choose series, while the intense MM relationship and the spicy kinks that are involved match with her latest Den series. The only difference I can find, is the fact that this one is contemporary.
It's not always easy to write in a lot of different genres, and still create a style that's recognizable through it all. As a result: if you loved "Poison", I'm pretty sure you'll enjoy her other work as well. It's spicy, it's kinky, it's filled with red flags and it's perfect for lovers of MM romance.

I read this when it was published in the Bad for You anthology. This one has been flushed out a bit more and I still really enjoy Storm and Ashby's story. Most of the darkness is with how possessive Storm is of Ashby but there's also a decent amount of violence and very bad things happen to Ashby's best friend, Atlas. Ashby believes that Storm left him but Storm has always kept track of his sunshine and their reunion is where the sparks start to fly and they don't stop. The characters are a lot of fun and I hope we get more in this universe. I specifically want to see Atlas get the happy ending he so deserves. There's hints of mafia in this story, though I don't think anything is truly confirmed. If you like you men possessive, then this is definitely your story!

Poison was a very short story which turned into a bigger novella.
Storm is the ultimate alpha $t@lker. He knows instantly he wants Ashby but his family gets in the way of his happiness. I loved his devotion and dedication to always protecting Ashby.
Ashby is a sensitive soul who doesn’t understand why the greatest love of his life has abandoned him. When he reunites with Storm he learns the truth behind the abandonment and realizes it wasn’t his fault.
These two had great chemistry and they were perfect for each other. I was glad Ashby and Storm stood up for their future together.

This one had me rooting for the MMCs to make it through everything to finally be together. This is a stepbrother short story about Storm and Ashby. They end up falling deeply and quickly in love with each other. They end up being split apart by their parents and Ashby being the one who never understood why. There is so much that happens throughout this. It made me swoon with how protective Storm was over Ashby. Definitely a great and short MM read that doesn't disappoint. This author writes phenomenal MM romance so I expected this one to be just as good as the other ones that were written.

I grabbed this because the cover caught my attention and I’m glad it did. I love how protective Storm is of Ashby, I just wish there was more of them. I’m really hoping Atlas gets a book especially after all he went through. I’d love to see how he is doing. 🖤🔥🩸🔥🖤

Great read. Love the take what I want and screw what everyone else thinks, especially the kitchen scene that was hot as well as the hallway scene he practically dared his dad to say something. I love the bad guy is the good guy theme going on here as well as the touch him and die while I'm laughing. Overall if I could I would give this book a 10 🌟, keep up the great work and looking forward to more of your work.

Juniper Cole’s first book in her Twisted Obsession Series was a quick read but packed full of content. Ashby and Storm, the two main characters, have an instant connection to each other. Obstacles and misunderstandings cause separation and heartache. There’s plenty of exciting adventures, mystery, suspense and steamy situations that will keep you on the edge of your seat. Highly recommended and definitely a MUST read!

I loved Ashby and Storm and how Storm instantly knew that Ashby was his when he first saw him at the age of sixteen and how possessive he was of him. I also loved Ashby's best friend, Atlas. I'm hoping that Atlas got his own book cause I need to read it.

I loved Storm and Ashby. Storm wanted to protect Ashby from the first time he saw him and his father had doubts about it. Storms father tried to keep him away from Ashby by sending to his uncles. Storm couldn't stay away when he thought the love of his life was kidnapped and his father wasn't going to stop him or stand in is way

This is a short story that is full of chaos. This story will keep you on the edge of your seat. This is a spicy read that is intoxicating read that is a forbidden romance and stalking and a MMC. This is an amazing read. This is a first that I’ve read by this author and I love show it pulls me right in from the beginning.

Steamy MM mafia
I loved this story when it was a short story and it only got better in its expanded book form. This is a MM story with mafia overtones. Storm and Ashby’s love is hot, intense and dark around the edges. The actual plot was exciting and had enough spice to keep me reading. I really hope that there is a story with Atlas in the future because he deserves his own love story!

Wow not only was this book short ,but it was dark and packed with steam and action. Ashby definitely had a horrible dad that I’m glad got what he deserved in the end. He also had atlas his bestie who went through some horrible things while kidnapped. I’m glad things worked out for Ashby and storm . I enjoyed reading this book.
