Poor Malaysia was too trusting of her damn man, when I could see all the holes in the stories he was telling. 👀 Love will make you ignore the hell outta them red flags, won't they? 😂 Cause I don't understand why her gut wasn't screaming at her about that sick bastard! 🤬 He had tall audacity to pull of that elaborate lie, play in her face, and manipulate her to his will. Ughhh....😤
All the while Malaysia, you had Aspen stalking you and trying to love you girl. It must be something about those James men, first Dejvi now Aspen with the strong pressure. 💪🏾 Aspen always gets what he wants, and he wants Malaysia. He doesn't give a damn that she has a man, cause what that got to do with him? All I heard during that scene was Positive K saying, "You got a what? How long you had that problem?" 😂 He would be patient, as he knew she would be his in due time.
When it all went down with Peyton and Brooklyn, I felt for Malaysia, cause I honestly don't believe she had any idea this mess was going on under her nose. 💔 But Aspen was right there to pick up the pieces, as well as give Peyton a one two punch for good measure. 😂 Although Malaysia was hurt by the deception, this put her right in the position to get to know Aspen, as she wanted to do anyway.
Well, Mr. Aspen wasn't all talk, as he was doin' the damn thang pampering, caring for, and spoiling Malaysia at every turn. He was feeling her something serious, and wanted no needed her to understand his intentions were pure. They were so good together, and I loved how they went out of their way to support the other's dreams. Looking forward to the next installment. 👍🏾👍🏾
First off Peyton was a creep that liked young girls. I didn’t like how he was him and his baby momma was running game the entire time while creeping around in the house he shared with his girlfriend Malaysia. I was glad when Aspen beat up Peyton because he deserved it all plus more. I love how nurturing Aspen was with Malaysia. He knew she was his soulmate from the beginning. Their chemistry was unmatched. This book was everything and worth the wait. Great read.

3.5⭐️ Malaysia knew good and well she wanted that man from the beginning! But I get it she was commited to her stagnant relationship with Peyton. That debacle is a lesson in always trust your instincts. While Malaysia wasn't looking out for her own best interest, Aspen was. Aspen proved from the beginning that her heart was safe with him.
(3.5) Poor Malaysia. But also…girl, follow your intuition. I liked Aspen. He knew what he wanted and backed it up with action. Can’t ask for much else. I always enjoy seeing someone loved properly. This was a good quick read.
Book 5 is the end of The Protector series for now. (In the credits, the author lists three more books of characters we’ve met.) This book ties directly with the last book (for now) of The Mister Series - Mr. Fireman.
Aspen (MMC) is the younger brother of Dejvi and Malaysia (MFC) is the younger sister of Enjell. Readers briefly get to know them in Mister Fireman. This wasn’t the best book of The Protectors series, but it was entertaining. It felt a little lighter on the world building as most of the side characters are from other series.
Reading this book I did realize, not only is this series connected to The Mister series and the Black Mafia series, there’s another series linked to it. I’m not sure of the title of that series and it isn’t necessary to read it to follow this storyline.
Aspen was definitely a man that went after what he wanted. He pursued Malaysia and told her that he didn't care about her relationship. He gave her time to get rid of Peyton, but he wasn't letting go. Malaysia wanted to remain faithful, but Aspen wore her down. She was trying to do the right thing with her relationship, but it was unappreciated. She finally found out the truth about Peyton's under aged baby mama. Aspen showed just how much her cared about her when Peyton put his hands on her. They finally got to enjoy them. They were amazing together. They spoiled one another and did everything they could together. Their love was beautiful, and things moved fast. Absolutely amazing read!
Whew, this book was a whole rollercoaster, and I loved every second of it. Malaysia was out here giving loyalty to the wrong man, and it was painful to watch her ignore every red flag waving right in front of her. Peyton had the nerve to build a whole life out of lies, and the way he gaslit her? I was ready to jump in the book and fight.
Enter Aspen. Bold, confident, and absolutely done waiting in the wings. He didn’t care that Malaysia had a man, because he already knew he could treat her better. I loved the way he moved quietly but surely, showing her with actions—not just words—that she deserved more.
Once the truth about Peyton came out, Malaysia was crushed, but Aspen didn’t waste a breath stepping in. Protective, patient, and intentional... he really understood her in a way Peyton never did. The chemistry between them?? Fire. And the mutual support in their goals made their connection even sweeter.
Fast-paced, emotional, and full of tension (the good kind and the bad), this story delivered on drama, romance, and revenge in the best way.
I loved Aspen and Malaysia together. Aspen knew that he wanted Malaysia as soon as he met her, and he was determined to get her, however, Malaysia was already in a relationship. Aspen knew his time was coming and it finally did. Aspen's time came about when Malaysia found out the devastating truth about Peyton, the man in her life. After she left the dead-end relationship she was in, Aspen and Malaysia found the path to each other. The way that Aspen treated Malaysia like a queen, protected her and loved on her was just what she needed after being with her ex. I loved how they poured into and supported each other's hopes and dreams. I couldn't stand Malaysia's ex, Peyton, and I'm glad he received Aspen's hands and the karma that Aspen ordered for him. This was an enjoyable book to read, and I can't wait for the next books in the series.
If you haven't begaun to read the Protector series, I recommend that you do that. Each book is intriguing and will have you ready to read the next book. Aspen played no games when it came to Malaysia. He was very intentional with his words and actions. Malaysia knew that her heart desired Aspen, but she wanted to give her relationship a chance, though her heart was broken initially with the things she had to face in the loss of her relationship with the loser, Malaysia was able to see what she had with Aspen was the the real deal, she understood what it meant to be loved and protected and that's what Aspen did for her. I enjoyed seeing Enjell and Dejvi back as well. The families and friendships are so good. Waiting for the next story!
Ah, this was so good. Malaysia and Aspen were meant for each other. It took Malaysia a minute to change directions and cut that loser ex. out of her life. She found more peace without his lieing, cheating, and disrespectful self. Aspen was definitely a protector over Malaysia.
Aspen and Malaysia were perfect for each other. Lifting each other up positively and supportive of each's dream. The energy, sparks, and chemistry was was on fire from their 1st encounter. I'm glad he listened to his brother about not trying to force his way into her life and let her allow it to happen on her terms.
Aspen was such a good man and I loved his confidence and energy. He claimed Malaysia from the start and applied pressure to get her to see he was the better man and better option for her. I loved the way he loved on her and protected her and supported and financed her dreams and goals. I loved how Malaysia wanted to reciprocate his gesture to show her thanks and do things that appealed to his love language. I really enjoyed reading about this couple and their journey toward a happily ever after. This was a great addition to this series and I’m looking forward to seeing what comes next.
There is so much to say about this fast romance. 1st - the way Aspen gave off that "What your man gotta do with me?" vibe was so good. I knew he was going to wreck shop on PP dude. 2nd - Malay was drawn to Aspen from jump. She fought a good fight to keep her feelings tight. 3rd - I love how the mentions of the different love languages are spread throughout this story. I wish more authors dipped in to those. The way this couple fed into each other's wants and dreams was special. I cannot wait to read follow ups about the sisters and brothers in the coming books in the series.
I wanted Aspen and Malaysia to be my favorite protectors book, but it fell a little short. Not that there wasn't chemistry or heat between them, but the way the book was set it it felt choppy. That was what didn't allow me to get into it like I wanted. The messy situation with Peyton... I didn't see that coming. He got his in the end. I loved Aspen's level of intention with Malay. No matter if she thought she wanted or needed something he was right there provided and she gave it right back. I do recommend it if you've already started The Protector series especially since these two are the siblings of the previous book couple.
I just knew this book was going to be good but ooh it was all that and then some. B. Love just keeps bringing the heat and I am here for it. I couldn’t wait to get to the part where Aspen lost his mind over Malay because I knew it would be fire. Ma’am you did not disappoint. This series just keeps getting better. If you haven’t read the series, you need to. You will not be disappointed.
I loved Aspen from the time he was introduced lol. But honey if a man ain’t applying pressure like he was for Malaysia then I don’t want him. I felt bad that Peyton played in Malay face that bad but it needed up being her biggest blessing. The bond that they grew and the live that blossomed was beautiful ❤️. Can’t wait for Karrington story because he’s such a mystery with a little bit of heartbreak. Great job as always !!!
I like the twists and turns in this book. I didn’t want to believe it, but I did think so. This is a must-read; get on board if you’re not already. Malaysia will help make anyone’s dreams come true, and so will Aspen, and neither is afraid to fight. I love Aspen and Malaysia together. It’s a fabulous series. I look forward to reading the next installments. As always, it's an absolute joy reading your books. 🥰
This was definitely a well written book of deception, determination and love!!!… I’m so glad that Malaysia got her happily ever after with a man that respected, loved and protected her!!!…Aspen played no games about her when it came to her safety and her heart!!!… Peyton was beyond bold and dirty for moving the way he did and I hope his time behind those walls is well served and serviced!!!…
They were super cute and he was hilarious. I love a man who knows what he wants and is hella intentional about that shit. There was never a second guess, he made it plain and did what he needed to do to get it. There was minimal drama in this story and it didn’t overshadow the love. I really can’t say anything else without spoilers. Just make sure you read this book.i can’t wait for the next protectors or mister books.
Another hit. I just knew something was off when Jayla said that baby had features of Paeton but was giving him the benefit of doubt, he was a snake and very selfish, they were taking advantage of Maylay, so happy As pen had already claimed her and given her a deadline to be done with that situation. This series is a must read if you have reach book gets better and better.
Aspen is not only a protector but also goes after what he wants. I loved the attraction between Malaysia and Aspen. Although Malaysia had a situation of her own, Aspen respected that but still kept his eye on his lil baby. He showed Malaysia how a man is supposed to treat his lady. Even though Aspen went all out for Malaysia, I loved that she was willing to do the same for him. They definitely reciprocated whatever was given to each other. Great story and happy ending.
Sooooo let’s talk about how shady that weak ssa Peyton is! Why he have to play Malaysia like that? She was honestly too nice for me I would’ve ended it before it was started! Luckily his screw up led to Aspen being able to swoop in! Aspen showed more growth than I knew his character would have. He also was a dream man who supported his woman to the fullest. I loved how Malay found ways to support him as well! They were the best match!
Wow just wow! I’ve been waiting for Aspen’s book since his brother’s book, Mister Fireman. The subject describes Aspen to a T. He has so many layers. The book is fast paced and there’s some drama, but not between Aspen and Malaysia.
And if you read Mister Fireman, you’ll finally have the answer to how lil’ one breaks into his brother’s apartment!
Aspen said from the first time he saw Malaysia he didn't care about who she was with, she was his. He proved that real quick. Peyton was disgusting impregnating a minor and then lying about it! They were so in sync with one another and when Malaysia finally let her hurts go and became open, Aspen proved to her he was the right one for this journey. Beautiful read!
I enjoyed Aspen from his first introduction. Baby he applied all the pressure and I was here for it. Malaysia had me stressed out with all that settling she was doing in the beginning. I knew from the beginning something was off about that baby and Peyton. I didn’t feel bad for Malaysia because she had a man that wanted to give her the world but she was fine with crumbs. I was happy when she finally woke up and received her blessings. Aspen was a good man who deserved loved. It was a good read with a happy ending.
You know from the beginning I had a feeling that that was Peyton baby. Peyton was just so nasty and he made me sick and then he doubled back and got her pregnant again as she was underage. Malay really dodged a bullet and I'm happy that Aspen has always been all gas and no brakes about her. What they had happened fast but when the heart wants what the heart wants you can't put a time frame on it.
Maaaaaaaaan listen I’ve been waiting on this story since I finished Mister Fireman. The wait was well worth it. Aspen just might be my favorite PROTECTOR. The way my guy went after and rode for Malay is what love stories all about. I can’t wait to see what happens next with the upcoming Protectors
I was beginning to be in a reading slump… then B. Love came knocking! Aspen, Aspen, Aspen applied nothing but pressure! This book was a perfect mix of Unhinged, romance, protection, and drama. I love how B. Love always comes with the best bookbaes, best family, and friend group dynamics. Can’t wait for the next one!
I knew it was something fishy about that girl and baby situation. 😒😒 Malaysia finally gave in and came to her senses. The way Aspen went after her, and showed her love, affection, and appreciation, whew!! He was a man of not only his words but ACTION! I loved every minute of IT!!
I'm falling in love with all the protectors. So far, Merc and Aspen are my favorites.
I love it when a man knows exactly what he wants in life and who he wants. Aspen knew the moment he saw Malaysia that she was his wife. He showed her how a real man treats his woman. He gave without expecting anything in return.
