“I didn’t actually accuse the guy of being an arsonist.”

My job is to put out fires, so the people who set them on purpose make me mad. There’s one arsonist we’ve been after for years, but finding him is harder than you’d think. So when I see the same sexy redhead hanging out at fire after fire, what am I to think except that he might be our guy?

He sure does like playing with fire… just not the way I thought.

LOUISA MASTERS started reading romance much earlier than her mother thought she should. While other teenagers were sneaking out of the house, Louisa was sneaking romance novels in and working out how to read them without being discovered. She’s spent most of her life feeling sorry for people who don’t read, convinced that books are the solution to every problem. As an adult, she feeds her addiction in every spare second, only occasionally tearing herself away to do things like answer the phone and pay bills. She spent years trying to build a “sensible” career, working in bookstores, recruitment, resource management, administration, and as a travel agent, before finally conceding defeat and devoting herself to the world of romance novels. Louisa has a long list of places first discovered in books that she wants to visit, and every so often she overcomes her loathing of jet lag and takes a trip that charges her imagination. She lives in Melbourne, Australia, where she whines about the weather for most of the year while secretly admitting she’ll probably never move.

I'm really enjoying this series but I do wish that the books were longer!

We barely get to know the characters at all or have enough time to connect to them emotionally so although I'm enjoying the ongoing plot, I'm struggling to feel like I know these characters and their relationships!

I kinda feel like a plant that hasn't been allowed to let it's roots grow properly before it's been yanked up and moved on to the next space? No idea if that makes sense but it's how these books are making me feel!

I am excited to see what happens next, but I do feel like I'll forget these books as soon as I'm done reading them because there's just not enough time to build a connection to any of these characters.

Flame is fascinated by a fireman he saw at a wildfire that was raging out of control.

Unfortunately for Flame, Bran the fireman, thinks he's an arsonist and he had him arrested and has been keeping an eye out for the red-haired man ever since.

Of course, the path of fated mates puts them back in each other's periphery pretty quickly and the attraction between them sparks (see what I did there!) into full blown interest.

There's an interesting narrative for this one, as this time Bran also brings along a younger brother Cody and he's already got his own theories on just who this bunch of men with the different coloured hair might be.

It takes a while for Bran to get on board but, once he does, he's all in. We get a couple of time jumps as the conservation efforts of the Elemental Men to try and get humanity to stop killing the planet, gathers pace.

Cody has a neat idea to set up a website playing up their personas and drumming up interest, which takes the story into the next book quite nicely.

I really enjoyed the romance and characters (as I did with the previous 2), but I'm finding the whole explaining of the situation to the human, is getting too repetitive. It didn't take up as much space as the others, but it's time that could have been better spent with developing the romance more.

This was really nice. Not as funny as Aqua or Aether but we got more intro into the lives of the characters in this.

Reading about Bran and Cody, knowing there was some depth into them as characters made me wish this books were actually longer.

I would love to read a full length book about Flame and Bran because they seem more interesting as characters. And flame also felt more human than his element brothers.

Loved this.

This series is so good!

Flame’s story took an unexpected turn at the end! I also think it’s absolutely hilarious that Bran thought he was the arsonist and Flame had to stay the night in jail lol.

Cody was really the star of this story though. Absolute genius.

Mini-blurb: Flame has been stalking a hot firefighter at fire sites for the past 9 years. But the downside of that is that the firefighter thinks that he is an arsonist lighting up fires all over the city. But then they get to talking and love ignites.

This series kept the biggest beacon of comfort on my otherwise very busy and stressful week. Everything about this book: the vibes, the funny scenes, the connection, the characters, was just so lovely to read. I am so into everything this world has to offer and this book just kept the ball rolling and gave me more of my favorite things.

Also the set up in this book was so fun, I loved it.

Flame gets his fireman!!

I was excited to see how Flame's romance was going to play out. I mean, his love interest Bran is convinced he's an arsonist. That would be a pretty big hurdle for a fireman to jump over with someone he was interested in. Total deal breaker material. Thankfully, it didn't take much for Flame to prove his innocence once Aether gave the go- ahead that Bran was to be made "aware".

I really loved Bran's little brother. That genius was the major catalyst to get his brother to open up to the possibilities of who the Elemental men were. He also had some great insights into helping their cause. I think he is going to be just as much an asset to the group as the mates.

For this short novella, there wasn't a ton of romance. Both Flame and Bran fought their attraction more than the other couples. This meant we didn't get as much on page time with them as an item. I still rooted for them though.

The next in this series is Zephyr. I think he's the one we know least about. He's often too off in his own head, so it's going to be interesting to see how his romantic interest captures his attention.

So it's a wrap on Aqua by Louisa Masters!

Rating: ⭐⭐⭐⭐

This is an MxM Romance Novella!

This book was short and easy to read.

This book touches upon the topic of Climate change brought upon by Humans on Earth 🌍 and how Mother Nature is running it's course by having natural disasters and calamities.

To prevent those natural disasters and calamities from destroying humanity, the five elements are born or incarnated. This book is about Flame which is the Fire Element!

He is Fire. He is in control of all Fires on Earth. He can create fire 🔥, control it and extinguish it using his powers.

He is mated to Bran who is fire fighter👨‍🚒 whose job is to put out fire🔥🔥

Bran initially thought Flame is an Arsonist and tries to find more about him. His brother helps him and finds a conference of River online which they decide to attend.

Thats how they speak with each other for the first time, but Flame has been keeping tabs on Bran for the past two years now. This is the start of their romance.

They are literally fated to be together and it's beautiful. This story is quick, interesting and very eye opening!

Bran's little brother gives all the elementals a social media presence of being enthusiastic conservationalists and is pretty successful!

I was lucky to receive the ARC of this book so thanks Louisa, I truly grateful and this books was worth it!!

I hope you guys love reading this book as well!

Happy Reading!!

When I first heard about this series, my immediate thought that this was going to be a spicy take on Captain Planet. I was wrong about the Captain Planet (though I did enjoy the reference in book 4) but right about the spicy. These are adorable, funny, smexy reads that I would recommend bingeing back to back because they become addictive. Each book has a different couple but has an overarching theme of conservation and whether humanity can be saved. You'll have to read to the end to find out.

The only downside to this series is that I wish the novellas were longer because I really enjoyed the premise.

I received an eARC and because its freaking cold despite being almost halfway through October (really not enjoying climate change) I have left an honest review

I really enjoyed Flame and Bran’s story. Cody added an extra bit of fun to this whole found family element. I’m really enjoying how the story is al coming together and the big picture is starting to piece together.

I’m really excited to see where this is all going to end. I’m a sucker for a firefighter and Bran really is going to be a good mate for Flame. They’re both solid guys who love what they do and will do anything for their family.

Thank you Louisa and The Author Agency for this ARC and letting me continue this journey.

These books are great but they are too short. You just get into them and then they are done.
This was Flame's story. He has a thing for a firefighter but said firefighter had voiced his concerns to his captain that Flame was always at the scenes of the fires and therefore might be the arsonist.
Loved Bran's brother, Cody. Only 16 but really sensible.
I hadn't really thought about the environmental message these books give until a friend pointed it out in her review. Its nice because its not preachy and told from the point of view of the elemental men.

“Man, you’re pretty down here.” “Less admiring, more fucking,”

(ESP) Una serie que mejora con cada historia. Cada novela tiene su pareja principal pero al vivir y trabajar juntos, la realidad es que no hay ninguno personaje que sea realmente secundario y podemos disfrutar de todos ellos. Me hacen reír muchísimo.

(ENG) This series just keeps getting better with each story. Each novel has its main couple, but since they live and work together, there isn't really such a thing as a side character. We can enjoy all of them. I love how Flame and Bran resist giving in to the temptation that the other causes him, finding excuses for this attraction that has been going on for several years now. They are both very lovable and together, they make a beautiful couple. Bran's younger brother adds a lot and brings a bit of sanity to this great family.
I can only recommend it!

Flame is book 3 in the Elemental Men series, and you need to read the first two since it has a continuing storyline, even if each book focuses on a new couple.

Bran is sure Flame is an arsonist because he's always at all/most of the fires his squad is fighting, and he feels guilty about his attraction to the man. Flame is, as you might have guessed, the elemental who controls Fire, and has been interested in Bran ever since he saw him on one of the fires he was overseeing. It's pretty much instalove, but it works, especially since they have amazing chemistry and complement each other.

Additionally, there's a bit of a suspense subplot since Bran and Flame are interested in discovering who's the arsonist behind all the fires Bran and his squad have been fighting lately.

I adored Cody, Bran's genius teen brother. He seemed older than Bran sometimes and it was hilarious. Catching up with Aether, Perry, Aqua, River, Zephyr, and George was great, I just loved them all. I'm looking forward to learning more about Zephyr and George, whose books are next.

All in all, this series gets better and better with each new installment! It's so much fun, I was snickering at 3am while reading because of all the hijinks that ensue whenever all the Elemental Men and their significant others are interacting with each other. Highly recommendable!

This one was definitely the worst so far, in my opinion. Not to say it was bad, I just didn’t find it as engaging as the ones prior. The more the series goes on the more I feel like there really isn’t any plot at all, and when the author remembers there is one, it’s painfully boring.

I really enjoyed the dynamic between the couple, but I truly believe these novellas suffer from being just that, novellas. They need to be longer. It’s so unbelievable to me that all of these couples are just… instantly in love with each other. Anytime there’s insta-love (which i’m not OPPOSED to, just don’t prefer) there isn’t any actual reason, other than when the other says “well their mates.” Like… okay? That doesn’t give me any semblance of their relationship or feelings.

The couples suffer from the shorter story format, everything we need to see in terms of development, growth, coming together (wink, eye roll) is done in time jumps off page. It gets tiring and annoying to not see anything from the couple you’re supposed to be rooting for, but yet you spend 75% of the rest of the book on some menial B-Plot that might as well become the A-Plot as the couples get sidelined over and over.

I really, really love the concept of this series. I really do. But I just really don’t think it has been executed well, at least not to me.

Here is Louisa Master's "Flame." It's the third book in her Elemental Men series.

["“I didn’t actually accuse the guy of being an arsonist.”

My job is to put out fires, so the people who set them on purpose make me mad. There’s one arsonist we’ve been after for years, but finding him is harder than you’d think. So when I see the same sexy redhead hanging out at fire after fire, what am I to think except that he might be our guy?

He sure does like playing with fire… just not the way I thought."]

A firefighter falls for the element/the embodiment of fire itself. I love the dynamics of this series and the you need X to complete anti-X for a well-balanced world and a well-balanced life; it's a whole new way to interpret opposites-attract, and I love it.

And nothing like your kid brother egging you on (kindly but with sass encouraging) into hooking up with the man fate created to be yours.

And then there's George Pebble, who wants his own HEA soooo badly, and we're making him wait until the end of the novella-mini-series.

Still like all the goofy characters. Still think this has promise. Still enjoy reading this series. But also still think something is missing (for me). Also them going from pining to, He and George look up from the island as I burst inside, and because I’m looking for it, I see the way his face lights up. How did I miss it before?
“You.” I point at him as I cross the room. “We need to deal with this. Are we gonna fuck, or what?”
The delighted laugh that erupts from George would distract me—George, laughing?
was a bit harsh and jolted me right out of the story. Mind you his younger brother, who drove with him to their place, was right in the other room. I think this might have been the moment the "something" that was so odd. It felt incredibly unnatural and weird.

I can only agree with the sentiments of another reviewer who said that due to the books being so short we hardly get a feel for the characters before the book comes to an end. That they seem to have more to say, more to show us, about who they really are, about where they came from, what moves them but just don't get the space to do so.

I luckily received a free copy of this book in a complete collection of all five books from the author and am voluntarily leaving a review. That being said, some of this review may be repeated in parts of my reviews of the other books.

The stories are fairly short but still give you a sense of completeness with a central overarching subplot… kind of. I’m probably not making much sense but if you know Louisa’s writing you’ll more than likely love the books and want to binge read them all. Then you’ll see what I was talking about… or maybe I’m just talking out of my squirrel brain and it only makes sense to me. 🤔 🤷‍♀️

Loved reading about Flame and Bran and Cody too. Some of the things these “guys” do is just hilarious.

With how short the stories are, I think this will definitely go on my reread list.

Highly recommend the whole series. Definitely best read in order. Each book follows the ones before it with time period jumps in between ranging from weeks to years.

story of Flame and Bran

This is a destined mates romance, featuring Flame and Bran, and is book three in the Elemental Men series. This book is a novella.

Flame has been attending out of control fires for years helping to extinguish them, what he didn’t count on was Bran, a local firefighter, noticing him a little too much.

A little stalking, with help from his genius brother, Bran finds his fire man. But when they come in contact with each other, destiny steps in.

This series is getting so interesting. This book focused on Flame and Bran, we learnt more about the elements and we met Bran’s brother - loved there he put all the pieces together.
Now I have to wait for book four and fire to be released.

Things to expect in this MM romance are:
3rd book in series
MM Novella
Element x firefighter
Slight stalking
Genius younger brother
Suspense
Found family
Destined mates

Wow! I absolutely loved this book. Amazing characters and wonderful plot. Very beautifully written and easy to read.

Okay, so this time the guys are dealing with uncontrollable wildfires. Flame is doing everything he can to rein in his flames, but it’s still not enough and he enlists George’s help.

While out there, they see Flame’s fireman. They all joke that he stalks him, but they have no idea what the kind of thing he did in or order to see Bran more. Even though Bran thinks that Flame is the arsonist.

And when Bran asks his little brother to take a look on the internet from the photo he’s secretly taken, things start to become very interesting. I just loved Bran and Flame’s banter and relationship. And the jokes inside their minds is on fire. Cody is a very cool young guy.

Overall I loved this book very much and I’m excited to find out more about what will happen next. I highly recommend these books.

Another great story in this Elemental Men series! Flame is on the case to help prevent the fires getting out of control but he's around so much that Bran, a firefighter, thinks he might be an arsonist.
This story gets us a little bit more into how the group may make an impact on the world as a whole when it comes to the elements and humanity's survival. There's the good addition of Bran, who Flame has been crushing on from afar for a while but, luckily, he's not the only one! Along with Bran is his younger brother who is like a shot of energy to the whole group.
The series is really starting to move along and it's great having these new additions to the group. I'm very interested who is going to be paired up with George and Zephyr!
I received an ARC and am happily giving a review

Flame (Elemental Men Book 3) by Louisa Masters
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐/5
I love the whole concept of the elements being human. So far my favorite is Flame. His story was a really enjoyable ride. The fact that Louisa paired a firefighter and the element of fire is just brilliant. The way Louisa progresses the plot of the entire story through each element it's pretty amazing. I love reading about the journey of different couples, and still learning more of the whole story and how everything is connected. This is a truly enjoyable read. Flame and Bran were everything, I love how the guys always include the humans and accept them as family. Definitely a must read.

In this installment we have Flame and his obsession Bran.

Flame noticed him years ago at a wildfire and has been attending fires and looking for him ever since. It’s not stalking, it’s not!

Bran, a few thought he was crazy. He kept seeing this guy with bright red hair at fires. He could be starting them, right? It makes the most sense.

When they finally meet, it’s so cute how they are so nervous around one another and are denying their mutual attraction.

Plot twist, our stalker has his own stalker?

I loved Cody, he was such as fun side character that brought in some comedy with his snarky remarks and his much needed expertise in social media

I can’t wait to see what our next element has in store.

This one was pretty good. Again, this one had more of a plot, so that was nice. I still think these would be better as longer books, since there seems to be an overarching theme and other characters that need more development, but for the length they are, these characters are pretty well-rounded already. I loved Cody, so I wished we got more time with him. There has been a lot of fast-forwarding through scenes in these books, mostly the sex scenes and some of the middle bits, which I wish we would have been able to see. The arsonist and the wannabe murderer from the last book had pretty lame reasons for causing problems. Overall, I enjoyed it. I'm wondering what Zephyr's book will be like, since he hasn't said much of substance.

I love this series so much!

I honestly am adoring this series. Whilst I would love for these books to be longer I actually really enjoy how short they are because they make fantastic bedtime reading without making me feel guilty because I haven’t slept! Flame and Bran were hilarious at first. I couldn’t stop giggling that Bran was convinced Flame was the arsonist. I think this one wasn’t quite as funny as the past two but that also made sense because we got a bit more plot building for the full series arc. That being said, Louisa wrote it so it had it was still fun to read and had me giggling a fair bit. I love this series and am both looking forward to what’s next and also kind of sad that it will mean we’re closer to the end.

premise: 5 really hot men look like humans but have "dyed" hair and strange names like Aether, Aqua, Zephyr, Flame, and ... George. But they are, in fact, the 4 elements (fire, air, water, earth) + life, and they show up on earth when things are out of balance. This series follows all 5 men as they fight to preserve the earth and stop the damage that is being done by humans. Along the way, they all find their human soulmate who balances them out.

I feel like the romance is getting cut with each book. The stories are quirky and fun, but I want more romance! Having said that, the moment Bran storms into the kitchen to take Flame upstairs to bed was unbelievably hot. More of that, please!

I thought this novella was a dumpster fire, which is hilarious considering the main character is the fire elemental. Pretty much the whole plot happens off page and the author just recaps it later, which is super bizarre. There was barely anything to it, absolutely NO romance, and I didn't feel like the main characters had any chemistry at all. The book didn't forward the plot in any way, and the tense kept changing from one sentence to the next, from present to past tense with even an occasional future tense in there, and it was really jarring. It seems like this was just a book that was written in a really big hurry to fit in the series. I'm still going to read the rest of the series but, be forewarned, this one is not very good.
