She’s from the big city, and he’s a small-town fisherman. Can they truly find common ground?
Johanna Taylor is settling into her new home in Blueberry Bay, excited to be living closer to Dane, Alissa, and the grandbaby that’s on the way. She’s become good friends with Marsha and Willis, but without the hustle and bustle of the city to distract her, she’s beginning to realize that there’s a hole in her life. Although she would never admit it out loud, she’s lonely.
Still, the last thing she ever expected was for her friends to decide to set her up with a man—least of all a rough-around-the-edges local fisherman like Everett Howell. Their first meeting is an utter disaster, with her accidentally insulting him and him making it clear he’s got no interest in someone as fancy as her.
But when their second meeting leads to an unexpected connection, Johanna starts to wonder if maybe she spoke too soon. Maybe a straightforward, down-to-earth man like Everett is exactly what she needs. But will he feel the same about her?
Meanwhile, Alissa and Dane can’t quite settle on a name for their baby. And while Caitlin and Michael start to discuss plans for their wedding, Josie and Wesley don’t want to wait any longer to tie the knot!
Nestled against the beautiful New England town of Whale Harbor, Blueberry Bay is a cozy coastal town with sandy beaches and a cast of characters who’ll make you laugh, smile, and be swept away. If you enjoy clean romance and stories that celebrate family and friendship, this series is for you!
After a disastrous set-up with rugged fisherman Everett Howell, Johanna Taylor finds herself drawn to the man. Everett and Johanna try to hide their blooming love connection, and it's fun to see the older couple find happiness. Alyssa and Dane joke about finding a name for their soon-to-be-born baby. Romance is definitely in the air in Blueberry Bay. The wedding in the title is between Josie and Wesley. Josie's bond with her sister is stronger than ever and she's happy that her estranged mother comes to the wedding. I enjoy the different age groups in the Chasing Tides series. I appreciate the ongoing storylines and simply love the small-town vibe. This book was delightful.
Alright it’d probably be better you read the series. Johanna meets Emmet the fisherman…no connection but once they get to talking they find they have interests the stars, he takes her out on fishing boat. They are hiding their relationship when they go bowling they steal a wink every now and then. Then at a wedding a guy ask Johanna to dance and Emmett declares she is his girlfriend. Everyone finds out and are happy for them
This was just perfect. I have to admit it takes me a chapter to get the wonderful characters a refresh of who's who. This was one of my favorite books with a wedding and baby naming and a new romance starting. The characters are just perfect and I love this charming seaside town. I hope you get your copy and get hooked. A must read. Enjoy.
Like reading about friends and family. You can almost smell the coffee and bakery goods described as you read along. Love the characters and scenery it evokes. Can’t wait to continue the series! So great!!!!
It was enjoyable reading about Johanna and Everett, and watching their relationship grow. Of course, it was also enjoyable watching the other characters grow.
