Lucy & Jax
Lucy has been mad at Jax for years, ever since he destroyed her brother’s chance in the NFL. But could she possibly not have all her facts straight and maybe the enemy really isn’t one and he’s just a sweetheart?

Jax is looking to open up a camp for disabled children, and he needs Lucy’s help. It’s going to take some convincing on his part in order to get her on board with teaming up with him on anything after what he put her family through.

Of course, being a professional athlete, we have some drama with another woman that causes issues with this job.

Overall, I really liked these two together. They were really cute and sweet. Of course I wish the 3rd act was handled differently, but all works out fine. Also, I really enjoyed Jax’s relationship with his brothers, not sure the extra family drama was needed, though.

Series notes:
I’m usually very strict on reading the series in order, but somehow I missed book 2. His brothers do make some appearances, but I’d say this is fine as a standalone.

Narration notes:
I’ve listened to many, many books of Samantha’s and it’s always Amy narrating. I’ve come accustomed to there only being 1. She does fine, her male voices aren’t that bad, but we all know I’d prefer a male narrator.

This small town, enemies to lovers, sports romance novel by Samantha Chase was a brilliant read. 🏈

Lucy Dawson and NFL star Jax Wylder's journey from animosity to love is a really great read, with moments of forgiveness and redemption woven into the story - it made for a super cute read.

The chemistry is undeniable between the two main leads, that you could feel it through the pages and the small-town charm adds to the appeal… 🤩

This was a sweet read.
I will say I would have loved to have had a male voice for Jax. Also, I'm not a huge fan of the 3rd person POV. Other than that, this was a sweet, bingable read.

Getting tangled up in a scandal when the season had just begun wasn't a good look for Jax. This caused him to work on his PR to smooth things over, which in turn gave him the push to start working on a project that he had been thinking of setting up for a while now—a camp for disabled kids who were interested in sports, which is how he gets in touch with Lucy, asking her to help him with the project. Even though it wasn't his fault, he held a lot of guilt over what happened to Tyler, his best friend, that ended his NFL dreams. He was also dealing with a lot of doubts and conflicts regarding his future in the NFL and what he wanted to do going forward. But in spite of it all, he was sure about one thing, and that was Lucy.

Lucy just got out of a relationship that she was in for all the wrong reasons, and she feels the guilt and the judgment from her family for it. She had dreams of moving away from her town, but given how her brother's situation had impacted her family, she hadn't had the chance to do so. Now she wants to work hard and save up so she can leave her town to explore what's out there. I liked how dedicated she was to her career and how much time and effort she put into helping every single patient.

Lucy had despised Jax, who was her brother's best friend, ever since a tragic accident ruined her brother's chances of getting into the NFL, and thereby permanently affecting her entire family. But when they confront each other, Lucy realizes that there might have been more to the story that she wasn't aware of, and once things get cleared up, the two slowly start forming a friendship.

As the two spend time together, they realize how easy it is to be with each other, and when they aren't at odds with one another, they actually feel an attraction. However, with Lucy being his best friend's little sister, he tries his best not to go there, but as their bond and feelings for each other grow, Lucy is the one he sees his future with, and he doesn't want to give up on that without trying.

There was a lot going on with both of them, like Jax's PR situation, the chaos with his father, his injury, and doubts about his future, and with Lucy about how her family would react to them being together, especially her brother, and what the future would look like for them being from two different worlds, and how they'd make it work. But Jax was persistent even when Lucy was doubtful about their relationship, and he got her to eventually trust him and take that leap of faith to try.

There was a lot of character development in both their cases, and this relationship really made them reflect on what they wanted from life and where they saw their future taking them. These were questions that they had both been pondering over for quite some time, but developing feelings for each other is what put things into perspective for both of them to understand where they would go as a couple but also what their individual journey would be like.

This book was a closed-door romance, but the tension building between Jax and Lucy leading up to that point was definitely exciting to read.

I really loved Jax's family and how close and supportive they were throughout the book. They got together when Jax was going through a rough time and helped him get through it and made him see reason when he wasn't able to. I also loved how they all readily accepted Lucy and made her feel like a part of their family. They also collectively sided and supported her plans to help Jax out when he was way in over his head about the whole situation with his team.

I do have some questions that were left unanswered about their father and the revelation that came to light, which wasn't entirely gotten into, but given how the book ended, it makes me feel like we'll be revisiting that and getting into it in the future books. Maybe.

Thank you to Samantha Chase and Valentine PR for providing me with an eARC in exchange for an honest review.

Well I was NOT expecting to love this one (probably because I had zero expectations and an auto-approval from Dreamscape Media LLC on NetGalley - thanks for the ALC of this one!).

I haven't read any of the Wylder Love books, but I didn't feel like I was lost because this is the first I've read.

I'm a huge fan of sports romance, and so I was pleasantly surprised that Jax is a QB for the NFL team in my hubs' hometown, Wichita, KS! This super famous QB makes a sort of sketch decision, and a girl out for revenge tanks his reputation overnight. Thoughts of retirement and ways to get back home to his family/hometown lead Jax back to his roots, and nearly straight into the arms of his best friend's little sister. Except the little sister hates him for ruining her brother's life on graduation night.

The past isn't quite what Lucy's been told, and once she stops hating Jax, those lust-y feelings coming roaring to life. These two spend one weekend together, at first just because they can't help themselves, and then because they can't get each other off their minds.

I love the way Jax wants to support Lucy's dreams, and how they team up on a youth camp and clinic for youth with disabilities. Jax's heart for his community and desire to put his fame and wealth to good use to support his community is attractive, and then given that he wants to support Lucy's future and career along the way multiples that tenfold.

There are a lot of fun side characters (who I am guessing are main characters in other Samantha Chase books). There's complex family interactions, drama, tension, and tender moments all mixed together. I love books that make me feel all the things, and Samantha Chase certainly does that here!

I'm giving this one 4.5 stars - rounded up to 5 - because I binged it in a day!

I haven’t read any of the Wylder Love books prior to Undeniable Love, and I’m clearly missing out! This is the third story in the Wylder Love series, but can definitely be read as a standalone. I didn’t feel lost without reading the first two, but I will be diving into those very, very soon! Although, this one may be my favorite - at first glance, it wins the trope comparisons of the three books. 😉

I thoroughly enjoyed the emotional and heartfelt journey between Jax and Lucy. There is so much push + pull between them, and breaking through the complexity of years worth of misunderstandings holds you steadfast. Their story is even more captivating because the characters are relatable dealing with real-life, messy struggles.

This is a good one to jump into if you enjoy sports romance, enemies to lovers, and/or brother’s best friend. Trust me, you’ll be hooked from the start! So, so good. 🥰

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️I really enjoyed Undeniable Love! This was such a sweet, heartfelt sports romance and may have been my favorite from this series so far. I loved the mix of small-town charm, family drama, and a tender enemies-to-lovers romance. Lucy and Jax’s story was engaging and easy to follow, and I felt invested in their journey from the start. The character development was strong—I especially liked watching both of them grow and work through their struggles in such a relatable way.

The only downside for me was that a few parts felt either rushed or dragged out, and the storyline leaned on some predictable romance tropes. Still, the warmth of the setting and the emotional pull of the relationship more than made up for it. Overall, such a satisfying, feel-good read that I’m glad I picked up!

I love when a series ends the way it began. Between love, friendship, loyalty, and angst, Samantha manages to deliver it again. Lucy and Jax are the perfect enemies-to-lovers, forced proximity couple. Noah's brothers and their girlfriends/wives appearances help bring the storyline of the Wylder brothers full circle. Highly recommend reading the entire series, as well as the Montgomery series.

Quick Summary: A small town, sports hero romance

My Review: Undeniable Love by Samantha Chase is book #3 in the Wylder Love series.

About the Book: A professional football player who suddenly finds himself in a sticky situation gets back to his roots in a major way.

When Jax Wylder returns to his hometown to do some good and realize a longstanding dream, he is met with support from his family and close friends. Unfortunately, the one person he needs on his team perceives him as the enemy and has no problem telling him as much.

A young career woman is blindsided by the man she is supposed to marry.

When Lucy Dawson made the decision to marry, she thought things would work out for her...even though she still had certain reservations about her intended. Unfortunately, when her cheating ex is caught in the act of betrayal, she has to suddenly make a life change. Little did she know that her unexpected change would lead her straight to her the brother's best friend - the man that she passionately disliked. He was and would always be her enemy...right?

About the Narration: Amy McFadden did an incredible job with this installment. I was lost in her narration, in the best way. I listened to her storytelling in one sitting.

My Favorite Scenes (coded, so as to avoid spoilers):

- The Poofy Dress

- Zip It!

- The Parking Lot

- Crazy Is as Crazy Does

- All In

- After the Game

* Honorable Mention: The child with CP going through the therapy obstacle course

My Final Say: I really liked this story. It started out so strong and kept up its momentum. It was the just right story at the just right time. The supporting characters were all interesting and I wanted to know them the more they showed up in Jax and Lucy's lives. The leads - Jax and Lucy - had good chemistry. I loved that they were able to connect despite the misunderstandings.

Other: I plan to complete this series.

⭐⭐⭐⭐
No Spice

Undeniable Love is the 3rd book in the Wylder Love series. I am enjoying this sweet and low angst small town series for the Wylder brothers.

Jax Wylder is a successful NFL quarterback player near the end of his career. He is thinking about retiring and trying to figure out his next steps for a career after football. He wants to open up a sports camp for disabled kids due to an accident that ended his best friend's chances to play football. He wants to ask his friend's sister Lucy to help him out since she is a pediatric physical therapist. However, she hates him. Lucy blames Jax for her brother's accident since he was supposed to be driving and holds a big grudge against him. She quickly learns she didn't have the full story and agrees to help him out with this project.

Lucy and her brother end up spending a weekend at Jax's place, and she now sees him in a different light. They are both attracted to each other and decide to have a weekend fling. However, they can't stop thinking about each other and try to date secretly. There are some complications with the long distance and issues with Jax's public image. I thought they were sweet together and had good chemistry. Just be prepared, this book is closed door so there is no spice. I don't mind low spice, but I was hoping for some in this. I also thought the 3rd act conflict came out of nowhere, and it was not needed.

🎧 Audiobook Review 🎧
I listened to this on audiobook, and I flew through it in one sitting. Amy McFadden did a great job doing the narration, and she is able to voice female and male characters perfectly. I just always prefer a male narrator to be included in my audiobooks. This audiobook was a quick and easy listen.

Thank you to Valentine PR for providing the ALC.

She's at it again, folks! 𝚂𝚊𝚖𝚊𝚗𝚝𝚑𝚊 𝙲𝚑𝚊𝚜𝚎 has created yet another captivating, fun romance that will sweep you off your feet & leave you hungering for more!

I have adored all of 𝚂𝚊𝚖𝚊𝚗𝚝𝚑𝚊 𝙲𝚑𝚊𝚜𝚎'𝚜 books, but these Wylder's? They are something special! And Jax Wylder just may be my favorite one of them all!

I adored Jax & Lucy's interactions. There was chemistry, there was a push and pull with the way they interacted, Lucy thinking Jax was to blame for a painful past & Jax trying to fix his image. It was fun to watch and I loved falling hard for these characters!

It was so fun getting to see all of their family members, too! They lent a beautifully woven story some extra fun, especially Ty when he revealed the long buried secret.

And, let's talk 𝐴𝑚𝑦 𝑀𝑐𝐹𝑎𝑑𝑑𝑒𝑛. She is a lovely narrated who put her whole self into the emotional rollercoaster of these characters' journey. Her voice flowed beautifully and kept me wholly engaged! A wonderful pick for a narrator!

This is an unforgettable, small town, enemies to friends to lovers, romance, written by skilled hands. Tou get the angst of a long held grudge, you get the tension of palpable chemistry, you get the banter of friends & family, you get just the right amount of spice between a couple that is beautiful together. The inclusion of children with disabilities getting to enjoy a summer camp tugged at my heart strings!

I highly recommend you grab this one up! Sit back, grab that cup of coffee, and get ready for a masterfully told story that is 𝙪𝙣𝙙𝙚𝙣𝙞𝙖𝙗𝙡𝙮 captivating!

From the moment the two main characters appeared on screen, I was captivated by their undeniable chemistry. There was something truly magical about the way they interacted—always dancing around each other, subtly hinting at their feelings without ever fully giving in. Every glance, every word exchanged felt charged with an intensity that made me hold my breath, waiting for the moment they would finally come together.

What made their relationship so special was the secrecy that surrounded it. They were clearly drawn to each other, yet circumstances or perhaps their own fears kept them apart. It was fascinating to watch them navigate their world, hiding their connection from others and, at times, even from themselves. The tension between them was palpable, and it kept me on the edge of my seat, wondering when—or if—they would ever truly acknowledge what they meant to each other.

And then, just when it seemed like they might finally be ready to embrace their feelings, something happened that shattered everything. The event was so sudden and devastating that it felt like the air had been sucked out of the room. For a moment, I couldn't see how they would ever recover from it. But in the end, it was this very tragedy that brought them, and everyone else, together in a way that was both heartbreaking and beautiful.

Undeniable Love By @samanthachaseromance
By Samantha Chase
5 ⭐ / 2🔥🌶

This was one of my first books by Samantha Chase, but it is Book 3 of her Wylder Love Series.
It is a small town, enemies to lovers, sports romance that is to die for!

Grab some tissues and come along for the emotional and heartfelt journey between Jax and Lucy. This book shows the true ramifications to lack of communication between family members, misunderstandings, lack of details and years of anger / guilt.

Lucy is looking for her ticket out of town, Jax is looking to return to his hometown and give back. Now they are working together on a project where passion for what they both do is not the only thing pushing and pulling between them. There is an undeniable attraction between the two, but he’s her brother’s best friend and until recently someone she truly disliked and has held a grudge for.

I highly recommend this journey to any sports romance, small town loving readers and encourage you to add it to your TBR today!!!

Thank you @samanthachaseromance and @valentine_pr_ for my ARC.

Another great book in the Wylder family series. Jax Wilder has not made the best decision, and needs to smooth over the reaction. He will not have his NFL career forever and has a plan that has been brewing for over a decade. Putting together a plan with his best friend to build a sports camp for the kids who want to play, but their bodies are not fully capable.

Lucy is a pediatric physical therapist, loves her job, and dreams of leaving South Creek. She almost has this but it is not meant to be. Her clinic is not big enough and could use more tools to help her local patients. Enter Jax, but there is a small problem: she hates him. She feels he is responsible for all the wrong in her life. She is not privy to the whole story.

There is more to Jax and Lucy, their character development allows them to grow and to live in the future, not dwell on the past. This is a sweet novel, but the tension is there. In fact, I finished before I realized it. I recommend this book and all the books in the series.

Thank you to the Author for the advanced copy; this is my voluntary review.

Book 3 in the Wylder Love series. Would work as a stand alone, but I would also say it would be better as part of the series.

Jax Wylder is the hometown hero- local guy who made it big in the NFL. Everyone loves him. And Lucy Dawson hates him. Jax and Lucy's brother were best friends growing up, but an accident on Grad Night ruined her brother's NFL dreams and Lucy blames Jax. When Jax wants to open a camp for disabled children in his hometown, he tries to get Lucy to consult. She is the only pediatric physical therapist in the area. But he didn't realize she hated him all of these years later. Can he change her mind?

I liked this, but not as much as book two. There were just a few things that didn't make sense to me. Keeping their relationship a secret. And Lucy's willingness to take random days off without notice. She loves her career and patients so much, yet she runs off without notice. Oh, and while I hate all third act break ups, this one was a new level of ridiculous.

All of that said, this is probably my favorite overall series by Samantha Chase. And while there are three brothers and three books, I am fairly certain that there will be at least one more. The ending was awfully abrupt for it to be the end of a series.

Amy McFadden is back as the audiobook narrator and her narration is good as always.

5 Star Review Undeniable Love (Wylder Love #3) by Samantha Chase

Ebook/Audio:

Book three in the latest series from Samantha Chase and was a great addition and is and’s story.

This is enemies to lovers Jax Wylder and Lucy Dawson set in South Creek.
I loved their journey. It is a story of forgiveness and hope and one that ticked all the boxes for me.

I was quickly invested in the story that Ms. Chase wove. As they both came to terms with the past has I was cheering for them to get the happily ever after that they both deserved.

Amy McFadden narrates Undeniable Love, and she did a good job with her performance. Her voice is easy to listen to, although I would prefer that a man narrated the male characters, but then that is just my opinion. She brought the angst, romance, passion, and witty banter to the characters and did justice to the story that Ms. Chase wove.

I received a copy of the audio book from the publisher through Net Galley.

💙 Brothers best friend
🏈 Sport Romance - MMC is an NFL player
🤫 Secret relationship
❤️ Family drama

This is the third book in The Wylder Love Series, however I read it as a standalone and they can be read as standalone novels.

I loved this story; a romance between Jax, the big time NFL star and Lucy, the sister of Jax’s hometown best friend, Tyler. It made such a refreshing change to read what I considered a ‘sweet’ love story; Jax really gave off golden retriever energy and I adored that.

‘Undeniable Love’ had so much focus on family and friendship which made it a very wholesome and easy to read novel. I can’t wait to read more of Samantha’s books in the future, especially if there’s a follow up to this one ☺️🤞🏼

Jax Wylder is planning to open a camp for kids with disabilities, and would like to consult with Lucy, a pediatric physical therapist. Only Lucy hates him and is not interested in working with him on any project, no matter how exciting it sounds. Only Lucy’s reason for hating him are based on a misconception and once it is cleared, she is very apologetic.
Once all the misunderstandings are cleared, and they start spending time together, their attraction is undeniable. What starts as a one time thing grows into so much more.
This is the third book in The Wylder Love Series and can be read as a standalone read. It was a sweet and heartwarming read. I enjoyed the enemies to lovers storyline. I loved the connection between Jax and his brothers, and Lucy and her brothers. It was a fun read. Only I feel the pause was not really required towards the end.

This is the third book in this amazing series, and this is Jax and Lucy’s story.
Jax is a successful NFL player, who is looking at retirement, and wants to give back to his community, so he opens a camp for kids with disabilities. Lucy is sassy, and is a pediatric physical therapist, who cannot wait to escape her small hometown, and she hates Jax, who was her brother’s best friend, until a tragic accident. Jax enlists Lucy’s help with the camp when he finds out what her career is. How will Lucy react when secrets are revealed?
This is a well written easy to read story, with family, friendships, drama, guilt, secrets, enemies / lovers, challenges, revelations, undeniable chemistry, and love, which leads to an entertaining, and sweet, small town sports romance.
I look forward to reading more from this talented author whose work I highly recommend.

I haven’t read a sports romance in what feels like a min, and definitely never a true football one & I had the best time 🤍

This story is so cosy and wholesome that I only felt love on every page. Lucy can be frustrating and stubborn but when she finally lets herself be she’s the perfect person to balance Jax out. A hot, supportive, caring and sweet NFL player? Sign me up 🏈 These two have a quick turnaround but it’s usually the part I like the most, not having to worry too much or wait around for the story to start.

Reading this was a real pleasure and hit all the small town sports romance points just right. The spice is very low, and after some steamy books I was ready for some good old fashioned romance, leaving it up to the readers imagination!

Thank you Samantha for this book and this love story, I know where to go if I want a sweet treat.

Jax gets his story and it is full of some crazy and sweet moments. The connection to disability and harm was sad and tragic, but also fitting for the story, jobs and future. The friendships were great at all levels, but the siblings relationship in both families was the best. Lucy was wonderful in character and dialogue! Her firm loyalty to family and approach to life was strong and humorous. This story moves quick and brings us into the middle of the family and new relationship dynamics. Loved the scandal components and how they all worked together to live them. This is a great set of stories for the three brothers and I hope we get more to see what happens with the dad, touching base with the couples and more resolution on the possible sibling!

Dual pov, small town, brothers best friend, third act breakup, third in a series, long distance, miscommunication

A cute brother’s best friend story, I listened to the audiobook. It’s a third in a series, I didn’t read book one, and I had no problem following the story. Both main characters are a little idiotic, but it’s in a loving way.

I just wish there was more. I have read and listened to a few of this authors books, and this series in particular seems short. They don’t seem rushed, but just not as full as some of her other books.

Thank you to Dreamscape Media and NetGalley for an early read of this book. All thought are my own, I do not accept money for reviews.

I am quickly getting on board the Sports Romance train. There’s a certain added adrenaline when you add in the fate of a game and the pressures that come with it. Lucy and Jax are adorable. Two fun loving, strong willed determined individuals who know how to fight for what they want in life. Sometimes that fight is counterproductive to relationships but in the end you know it will work out, hea guaranteed. I am fully onboard for the family dynamics. Both characters have such supportive friends and family that you can’t help but want to join the crew. The spicy times were caliente, the humour delicious and the sweetness meltable. The story included a heartbreaking quality as they fought for their future leaving you with a tender ache in your heart. A truly fun story to listen to. The narration was spot on, exactly how I would imagine each character.

This was a charming small town sports romance between a physical therapist and a pro football player. While this is the third book in a series, it can be read as a standalone. Good on audio and recommended for fans of authors like Piper Rayne. I was a tad disappointed that this was a fade to black/closed door romance though. Overall still a light-hearted, entertaining listen. Many thanks to NetGalley and the publisher for an early audio copy in exchange for my honest review.

Finally! I have waited so long for Jax’s story, and it didn’t disappoint. Lucy Dawson is struggling with her life. Her job is amazing, but there is something missing from her relationship with her fiancé. When she finds him with another woman, she breaks the engagement, but is not really all that sad. She meets her brothers and her friend out and comes face to face with a man she blames for every bad thing that has happened to her family. Professional football player Jax Wylder returns to his hometown to open a camp for kids with disabilities. He knows that Lucy is the perfect person to help out. When he asks her, she all but rips him to shreds. She is so angry that her brother finally tells her that what she thought happened did not. It takes the wind out of her and she tries to make it right. What they both realize is that they are insanely attracted to each other, and try to make a relationship work. I loved everything about the story. The characters were great and catching up with Jax’s brothers was a bonus.

This captivating small-town, enemies-to-lovers romance hits all the right notes. Lucy’s resentment toward Jax has simmered since childhood, but when he returns to town, she uncovers the truth about their past. As they reconcile, their undeniable chemistry takes center stage. Though they encounter a few hurdles, they work together to tackle them. Amy McFadden’s brilliant narration adds to the story by infusing each character with depth and emotion. Even though it's the third book in the Wilder Love series, it works seamlessly as a standalone. If you love small town romances, definitely add this one to your TBR.

This was a very cutesy small town romance.
Jax & Lucy had my heart from the first argument. The family and friends dynamic in this book pulled at my heartstrings.
