Peaches and her pals go to the Moonberry Jubilee Fair in this adorable, cozy graphic novel that's all about going with the flow and enjoying life's heartwarming, laugh-out-loud moments.
Mango can't wait to compete in the baking contest at the Moonberry Jubilee Fair. But when the recipe goes wrong, Mango has to learn how to "go with the flow" — something that's VERY difficult for Mango to do.
Thankfully, Mango's friends – Peaches, Taro, and Pogi – are there to help! Join Mango and all the adorable characters in Pocketon as they take a spon-tay-nee-us adventure that has as many ups and downs as Taro's favorite roller coaster.
This full-color graphic novel is great for young readers beginning their graphic novel journey and graphic novel enthusiasts alike. It also features a Dyslexia-friendly font. It is perfect for fans of Hello Kitty, Animal Crossing, Pokemon, and of course, all things cute!
'Maybe that's not her style. Maybe having a plan makes her less stressed or something.' 'I didn't think about that...'*
Had to get an arc of this as soon as I saw it as I absolutely loved Pocket Peaches. However, this deals with anxiety that comes with planning beforehand versus being spontaneous. It's still such a great comicbook with the four friends having fun at the fair which is the cutest ever. I just love Peaches, Pogi, Mango and Taro's friendship. 🥹
Sidenote, this one being focused on Mango makes me think we'll get a volume each focused on all four main characters and I can't wait eeee.

This second volume really shows the authors ability to write a cute and lighthearted story while also tackling huge topics like emotional flexibility and accepting things as they are. Surrounding yourself with people who help you make the best of situations that don’t go your way is a wonderful lesson for middle grade readers and a great reminder for the rest of us.
Pocket Peaches: At the Fair was a cute graphic novel following four friends who attend a local fair.
Mango can't wait to enter her Moonberry bread in the baking contest at the Moonberry Jubilee Fair but after a kitchen mishap, her bread is ruined. When Mango wants to skip the fair, her friends Peaches, Taro, and Pogi convince her to go and try to enjoy the day anyway. Pogi's goal for the day is to embrace being spontaneous and he brings his friends along for the adventure.
The art style in these comics is fantastic and I enjoyed the bright, colorful illustrations. The book is done mostly in an orange and purple color palette which I really liked. The animals themselves are adorable and they're all unique. The premise of this one, Mango having to let go of her plans and embrace spontaneity was a good one. There was also some great discussion about how planning may help with Mango's anxiety and I thought that was a nice topic to touch on. The friendship between Mango, Peaches, Taro, and Pogi was very sweet and I liked how they were all there for each other.
Overall Pocket Peaches: At the Fair was a fun read and I would highly recommend the series.
I received this book from Edelweiss in exchange of an honest review.
I was so excited that Mango and her friends, Peaches, Taro, and Pogi, would be back! And this time more baking but also a fun fair! OMG!
In this one the fair, specifically the Moonberry Jubilee Fair, is coming to town and everyone is hyped about it! It will be Taro’s first time so the friends are all excited to show her around! But there is also a baking competition (as you would expect given that Mango loves baking and has a café). I was sad for Mango for what happens before the fair, though why didn’t she think to set a reminder? Or a clock? Or something? Oh well. What happens next was still fun and I just loved how her friends tried to make her happy and forget about the competition. To not constantly worry about it. Think about it. They took her to fun places, asked her to give tips, and it was just so sweet and fun. I also loved how hardcore they were about the games just to get something special.
Plus, that fair? Seriously? I just wanted to step in so many times to just be part of it! There are games, there is a super speedy rollercoaster (and the reaction of two of the characters made me laugh), there is food (so much yummy looking food that I would love to try (after the rollercoaster of course, haha), there are shows, and it was just so cosy and warm and fun. I want a fair like this here! Near me! I would love to also be part of it and definitely would like to join the baking competition even though I am not one for fancy smancy decorations. XD
I loved how it all ended and I loved that the happiness continued throughout the volume.
Oh, and that epilogue was just perfection! That made me smile even more. Congrats Mango!
The art was adorable and fun, just like the first volume. I really liked it. The colour palette as well~
All in all, I would recommend this one to all. If you want fluffy friendship, food, and happiness this is for you!
Great lesson on how a seemingly unfortunate event can lead to so much fortunate happiness. Benefits of planning and benefits of being spontaneous. Lots of cuteness. Keeping doors open so good things can happen. Reframing is important for a good life.
The Moonberry Jubilee Fair is coming to town. Taro has never been before, so Peaches and Pogi are eager to show it off. Mango usually enters a Moonberry cake in the baking contest, but a cooking error means she can't enter this year. She's bummed because a celebrity baker is judging, and she wanted to meet her. Her friends try to keep her mind off the baking contest by exploring everything else the fair has to offer.
Even though all the characters have different ears and fur for some reason I still struggle to keep them all straight. I don't know why. They are still cute, and I like how they are good friends for each other. The resolution to Mango's baking crisis is sweet (no pun intended). Hand this to readers who love adorable illustrations and only minor problems faced by characters.
Notes on content: Language: None Sexual content: None Violence: None Ethnic diversity: N/A LGBTQ+ content: None specified Other: A mis-order means the bakery wasted money and there's a little conflict, but they resolve it well.
So precious and wholesome in the way anxiety effects not only the person experiencing it but others around that person. I really appreciate the gentle manner for the possible reason(s) Mango not only has anxiety but how they in turn try to deal and live with it are addressed. There's a very real message about support and helping when and where you can but also realizing sometimes it's out of your hands. Done sweetly. A very charming follow up to the first volume with some new charcters added to the mix in the form of Pocketon's very own Moonberry Fair with celebrity guest Bonnie Tart. They really should make a cartoon of this world. These two volumes are perfect for taking a break from reading other genres that maybe take a lot out of your emotional & mental wells. Make yourself a nice hot cup of coffee/tea/matcha/whatever, get yourself a decadent treat, a cozy blanket and a comfy spot to read from and enjoy these stories.
This is the sequel to Pocket Peaches. It's a cute beginning graphic novel that could be popular with elementary students who like stuffed animals. Mango really wants to compete in the baking competition at the fair with grandpa's Moonberry bread recipe, but forgets to turn the oven on. Mango's friends try to cheer her (?) up by going to the fair and trying lots of new food, going on rides, and trying to win a plushie. There's not a lot of plot, but this would have some appeal for beginning readers. I'll probably pass for middle school, although may recommend to struggling readers, since our online public library has a copy.
Book two in the Pocket Peaches series. Mango is planning on entering the baking competition at the fair, but the day of the contest they forget to turn on their stove and her moonberry bread doesn't bake.
Devastated, Pogi convinces Mango to go to the fair anyways because Taro has never gone. Running between the booths, eating unknown fair food, riding rides and seeing fireworks, Mango realizes that even if things didn't go to plan they can still have fun. Plus, who knows what adventures will be had when you try something new. A cute continuation of the Pocket Peaches universe.

We loved this one!! Me and V had read the first one and they are so cute. In this one we learn that it’s okay if something goes wrong you just have to go with it and keep trying. That’s a great lesson for my daughter who always wants everything to be just so. We adore all of these characters and the colourful pastel artwork. We will absolutely be grabbing more of these stories. We would recommend this to everyone who loves cozy, cute stories.
Thank you to Andrew’s McMeel Publishing for sending us this copy to read and enjoy.
I've been waiting for the next volume of this series since picking up the first. I'm the biggest fan of Dora's art style and the story in this, while simple, is just so warm and cozy. Mango is also my favorite so I loved she was part of the main story line this time. I love these characters and the soft world building has me so excited to see how Peaches and the gang continue to grow! I can't wait to buy this and the first copy for my shelves soon! ♥
I love books set in theme parks. This is such a cute series, can be read as a standalone. Very Kawaii. And with a lot of cute desserts. A contest would be a great way for Mango to bring more people to Calico Cafe, but it doesn't go that way. Still, it's great to be happy and a supporter of others winning. Great for younger readers. Now I want to eat a Moonberry Swirl.
Super cute, lighthearted read. Definitely worth the read- a good reminder to kids that things don't always go according to plan and going with the flow can make things happen exactly how they're supposed to. There is a little friend conflict, but it is resolved and communicated well between the two characters. There is no content to worry about; it's a great read overall!
So cute! Loved the new setting and dynamic of the group. The new plot fit well with the first volume and gave us more about the characters. The messaging about trying new things, dealing with disappointment and/or failure, accepting change, and rebuilding after were wonderful additions for kiddos.
Another cute addition to the series and if focuses on Mango and I liked how they formatted the troubles and the flaw the characters face and its easy for children to relate to as well. The art is adorable and I want to eat all those Moonberry treats they were showing off!
This is another adorable volume. I love that they talk about real issues like planning vs. being spontaneous. And Mango we've all forgotten to put the oven at some time.
