When it comes to love, I have one no hockey players.

Tuck Everything I’ve learned the hard way to stay away from. Rich. Cocky. A shameless player. With his honey-sweet drawl, deep dimples, and bright blue eyes, he could make any girl forget not only her rules, but her own name.

A drama major with Broadway dreams. I have too much going on in my life to deal with the heartache that men like Tuck promise. Even when I’m assigned to tutor him and learn that there’s way more to him than meets the eye, I know that letting my guard down would be a mistake I can’t afford to make.

But I make that mistake, when we meet on the hot and sweaty dance floor of a club one night and I let him take me in ways I’ve never been taken before.

Then I make it again, after I walk in on him stepping out of the shower in our hotel room.

It seems I can’t stop making mistakes with Tuck McCoy.

I just hope I can stop myself from making the biggest mistake falling in love …

2 stars for the MMC alone. Halfway through this book I was convinced it would be a 4 star for me, and then the FMC was, well, completely herself.

But first, a bone to pick with the author:

The blurb at the time of me writing this review literally says there's no third act breakup, but I definitely call an "I need space" conversation and then space being given while she sorts herself out, part of the third act breakup trope. I feel very misled because the reason I chose this book over the other one I wanted to read today was because I wasn't in the mood for extremely dumb relationship drama right at the end. Which is exactly what we got.

And let me make this clear: it's RIGHT at the end. A whopping 93% through the book, because they technically aren't even really together together until like 80% or something, which is in a whole other paragraph below.

The MMC was good. A little outrageous and quirky for me (think of the MMC from Consider Me, by another author), but I enjoyed reading his POVs. He saved this book and kept me reading because he does. Not. Deviate. The man sees the FMC once and is down BAD. For MONTHS. He's not into anyone else, doesn't even consider anyone else for those months even while she won't give him the time of day. She's it for him. And he's patient and confident enough to wait for her...while giving little nudges here and there for opportunities to wear her walls down.

She killed it for me though. This entire book is how she can't get over how her ex did her dirty, and every interaction she has is either her fearing that the MMC will do the same to her, or else her reminding herself that her ex's behavior shouldn't dictate her decisions all these years later (while still allowing it to dictate her decisions). This girl does to the MMC at every step of this book exactly what her ex did to her (minus the cheating). The only reason it wasn't as big of a deal in the story was because the author was determined to have a character who was completely and unconditionally devoted to her, no matter w what she threw at him.

And she wasn't a horrible character. She got along well with him when she finally allowed herself to enjoy his company, and they had a good time together. But she was so focused on herself that the only reason their relationship worked in the end was because HE wouldn't allow it to do anything but work. He even had to push her to admit she loves him, and she was begrudging about it, which just isn't cool in my book.

Also it ends on a HFN (in my book).

Spice is low but good. The side characters were interesting, and I wish we saw more of them.

“Well, what else can I do?” Tuck continues. “Sure as hell can’t get you off my mind. Sure as hell don’t want to. I’d rather keep waiting for you than be with anyone else.”

^^Manifesting this^^

this was somehow every college hockey romance book and had none of the good qualities?

Olivia as a main character was literally the problem the entire book and somehow made Tuck apologize for all of her wrong doings? It’s insane how often she expected Tuck to read her mind about situations that made her upset and somehow he had to apologize for that fact over and over? Like fr justice for Tuck on this one

Olivia was annoying as balls but Tuck was a sweetie pie so it kinda cancels out. These people act like they don't have class, though, which is goofy. How do they have the time of day to be making snowmen? Also "mushroom" ???????

From the beginning till the end this book is very fun and very romantic to read… NOO PUCK BUNNIES which is very surprisingly nice 🫶🏽 I enjoyed every moment of it and definitely worth to read. I’m happy to found this author and will continue reading her books…
And nope this is not a ARC. This is my honest review.
If it’s a ARC i will let you know 😆

THIS SECOND BOOK is about the characters from the first book that made me curious with the story… I’m glad I’m curious about it because this couple is worth to read! 😍 The characters hero and heroine meet on the first book. And what’s so romantic about them is that the first spoiler we get from them in the first book is that; THE HERO IMMEDIATELY START PURSUING THE HEROINE SOOOO MUCH… He even go to her rehearsal (this is before they were dating or anything) he goes there and watch her rehearsal till the end!!! HE KEEPS FOLLOWING HER AROUND… HE EVEN STOPPED WHORING AROUND IMMEDIATELY WHEN HE SAW THE HEROINE… Like the heroine spelled him🤣 Like that’s so cool and romantic that he stopped to do that after he saw the heroine… “Hudson mentioned he hasn’t had any girls over lately, which is very out of character compared to the first several weeks of the semester …”
And the hero even celibate for more than 5 months for the heroine. And it was explained in the beginning of the book why the hero did that and how he is celibate… When I read that I immediately know that this book is going to be interesting!!! ☺️

It’s a college romance, famous hockey romance, BUT SAFE ALL THE WAY… I didn’t even see puck bunny which is refreshing to read. Nowadays it’s hard to find a great hockey romance that it’s safe, seriously it’s rare these days 😬🙄 SO FOR THIS BOOK TO BE SAFE ALL THE WAY AND ROMANTIC WITH THE HERO IS PURSUING THE HEROINE SOOO MUCH, YESSSS!!!!!

And yes you read that right. Since the beginning of the book till the end you will read how serious the hero with the heroine… HOW HE PURSUE HER SOOO MUCH 🥺❤️❤️

“I know one thing, though: I’m sure as hell not giving up. She’s got my heart wrapped around her finger, and I’ve got no interest in trying to untwirl it. “

‼️‼️‼️TRIGGERS: PTSD, alcohol and violence.

‼️‼️‼️SAFE ALL THE WAY.

BUT SLOW BURN…

🔥SPOILER ALERT 🚨

The slow burn is mostly because of the heroine. The heroine is the one who pushes away the hero way too much because she was veryyyy scared of the hero being a hockey player.

The slow burn was a bit slow but thankfully the hero the way he pursue the heroine so much, like literally go way beyond effort for the heroine, it makes the slow burn process not boring in my opinion…

The story is definitely heart pounding love story. It’s romantic, hot and sweet love story… Not too emotional… And not too heavy love story. It doesn’t have tragic drama scenes 😅
It’s actually a light one!

‼️‼️‼️NOOO CHEATING.

NO VIRGINS.
NO TOXICITY 🚨

‼️‼️‼️NOT LOVE AT FIRST SIGHT.
It’s more like electric touch like that 😄

“I can’t deny it. It was lust at first sight. But over time I became infatuated with more than her looks. I started to like her attitude, her wit, the way she challenges me. When I first saw her on stage, I was blown away by her talent.
She’s interested in things I’m not, like those artsy movies; some might think that two people having different interests makes them less compatible, but for me it just makes Olivia more intriguing.
There’s just something I feel when I’m with her that I’ve never felt with anyone else.”

‼️‼️‼️THE HERO IS OVER THE TOP POSSESSIVE PROTECTIVE HOCKEY MILLIONAIRE PLAYER ALPHA MALE.

He is definitely an alpha male. The hero used to be a manwhor3 even in the first book of the series we can see the hero there was saying goodbye to a woman from his place (but that was only one scene of him doing that, not more). But some people like two people mentioned here that the hero is a manwhor3.
But not like having s3x with 100 woman 🤣🤣🤣
BUT THANKFULLY THE HERO STOPPED THAT IMMEDIATELY. IMMEDIATELY!!! AFTER HE SAW THE HEROINE 🫶🏽🫶🏽🫶🏽

The hero’s personality is very interesting. He is very outgoing, definitely not a introvert like the heroine. He doesn’t have baggage from the past and only focused on the future… He is rich but not arrogant about it.
I love that he loves the little things like watching a movie with the heroine and always appreciates everything that is good. And it made him happy… It’s very refreshing to see a hero like that.

‼️‼️‼️THE HEROINE is definitely a introvert. But not too much… She’s friendly and nice and kind to everyone, I think before the whole ex boyfriend thing she’s a free spirit. But when that ex happened, she becomes uptight. She always overthink about things…
I like her but i don’t love her🤣 sometimes she can be very stupid… i love the hero even more tho 😬

‼️‼️‼️IT HAS EX BOYFRIEND THAT SHOWS UP PHYSICALLY TWICE. BUT NOT IN FRONT OF THE HEROINE, JUST THE HERO…

And the ex boyfie comment one picture on the heroine’s insta with the hero and try to call her sometimes but she always declined.

NOOOO EX girlfriend or ex fvck buddy ever shows up from the hero.
Which is quite shocking and amazing 😁

‼️‼️‼️DRAMA WITH OM BUT NOT TOO ANNOYING…

most of the drama is about themselves tho.

No drama with the ow!!!! 🫶🏽

‼️‼️‼️NOOOO BULLYING.

NO STRIP CLUB.
NO PUCK BUNNIES. (Seriously)
NO MEAN FRIENDS.

‼️‼️‼️THE HEROINE PUSH THE HERO AWAY many times but not too much tho… And not too annoying. The hero never ever push the heroine away…

The hero make it even clear from the early stages of them being together that this is not a random hookup for him.

“I just wish like hell you’d give me the chance to show you that I’m not looking for a hookup. Not looking for a temporary thing. What am I looking for? Fuck if I know. I’ve never wanted anything from a relationship but a short, good time. But this? This is different. I don’t have enough experience even thinking about what I want out of a relationship. But I know I want a hell of a lot more with you than I’ve ever wanted with anyone else.”

But the heroine still afraid cause her trauma and push him away tho…
But he never gave up on her ❤️

“Sure as hell can’t get you off my mind. Sure as hell don’t want to. I’d rather keep waiting for you than be with anyone else.”

❤️❤️

‼️‼️‼️THE HERO IS SUPER (YES SUPER) SOOOO OBSESSED WITH THE HEROINE… SOO MUCH. He is like addicted to the heroine and without her like he can’t breathe ☺️ Even in the beginning till the end you will see how much he seriously loves her and cares about her more than anything… He will do anything to have her. He will literally do anything. His effort for the heroine is sooo freakin romantic and sweet!! He never ever take a advantage of her.. He even will defend her in front of his friends no matter what. Like wow what a brave guy🥹 Even when the heroine only smiles at him and spending time with him just doing little things, he appreciates that sooo much😭😭😭 Literally HIS POV ABOUT THE HEROINE IS SOOO FREAKIN ROMANTIC!!!! HE ALWAYS THINKS ABOUT HER ALL THE FREAKIN TIME…

At first it was funny tho…

🚨 SPOILER ALERT

🚨 SPOILER ALERT

🚨

🚨

SO THE HERO HAS BEEN publicly interested in the heroine for four months since he saw her… Everyone in the friend group knows about it as well, the hero didn’t hide it. So for four months he always looked at her and tries to talk and flirt her. One day at a party the hero do it again by talking to her and she immediately cut him off by saying this:

Huh?”
“Asking someone on a date. You know, like normal people who aren’t full of themselves do. Instead of spewing lame pick-up lines and expecting the girl you’re throwing them at to immediately jump into bed with you? You haven’t tried that, have you?”
“Well, I …”
“Has the thought ever crossed your mind that maybe if you just asked me out, maybe if you even did it politely …”
“I might actually say yes?”
“Olivia, could I take you on a date sometime?”
“No. Bye.”

🤣🤣🤣🤣 I LAUGH SO HARD EVEN MY ENTIRE HOUSE ASK WHAT IS GOING ON WITH YOU 😆😆😆

The hero even talked to his best friend about a classic book that he can read so he can understand the heroine’s fascination with books. He even do his best friend’s laundry for a month so he can go to the hotel to see the heroine… HE LOVES TO MAKE HER HAPPY😭😭
He loves to see her so much even tho she always mean to him and push him away with her comments 🥹 That doesn’t make him mad even in the slightest because he wants her so much more… Even just sitting beside her and listening to her talking makes him tens time happier… HE EVEN WENT TO MANY SUPERMARKETS AND STORE TO FIND THE HEROINE’S FAVORITE SNACK!!!
He always remembers the little things about the heroine 🫶🏽🫶🏽 Even before they got serious or even touching, the hero are just so loyal to the heroine… Even going to clubs and see many beautiful woman, none of them can do what the heroine do to the hero…

“But it’s the same sad story for me. When I sweep my gaze over the room of dolled-up knockouts, not a single one of them stirs any desire in me.
I swear, I’m feeling so little below the belt in front of such beautiful women, that I’d worry I’ve got a medical condition—if not for the fact that just days ago, when I saw Olivia, my cock was hard as steel, throbbing in rhythm to my heartbeat when I was doing no more than sitting next to her in our tutoring room.”

“I think about other things, too. I think about having more days with her like that one where we drove around Cedar Shade looking for Pretzel M&M’s.
I fantasize about things as mundane as going to a coffee shop with her and sitting at a table doing our schoolwork, silently but together.
Things like spending a rainy night with her on the couch, bored to tears as she makes me watch one of her long, boring artsy movies—but still enjoying it, because I’m doing it with her.
Things like us trying to cook dinner together, me making a fool of myself because I’m totally hopeless in the kitchen, and us both laughing as we find the end result is so bad that we have to order delivery.
Things like me sneaking up behind her on campus as she leaves her class, surprising her with a present I bought her just because I can. I realize I’ve got a goofy smile plastered to my face just thinking about these things. Man, I’m beyond down bad.”

(Since i read this i was oh my, this hero is my favorite!!!)

“I’ve already accepted I’m down bad for this girl, but it’s almost a little concerning just how good something as simple as having her in my car feels.”

“the first thing I notice is my name on her back. My pulse stutters. Sparks are crackling all over my body, heat igniting in my bloodstream.”

“That fact feels like a gift from the universe to me. No matter what color your eyes were, I’d never get tired of looking at them. But the fact that every time I look in your eyes, I’ll see more shades, more specks of color, than I would in anyone else’s, that just feels like fate winking at me for falling for the right girl.”

“This is the first time Olivia and I are having a real sit-down meal together.
The thought makes an intense feeling hum through my chest. I realize with a rush of emotion that I’ll always remember this moment. I’ll always remember how I feel right now. How Olivia looks sitting across from me, with her brown hair pulled back in a ponytail, her pale freckles standing out more than usual, her bottom lip pulled thoughtfully between her teeth as she browses the menu. No matter what happens between us, I’ll remember this moment. Linda’s Diner in Burlington, Vermont will always have a special place in my heart.”

🥹🥹❤️

‼️‼️‼️NOT MANY JEALOUS SCENES BUT THERE’S A FEW JEALOUS SCENES FROM THE HERO… MOSTLY FROM THE HERO. The heroine is very little.

“Is this the fucking piece of shit who hurt Olivia? The guy who had the smartest, most talented, sweetest, most beautiful girl in the damn world and taught her to be afraid of her own feelings?
And did that heap of garbage just fucking dare to call her sloppy seconds? Rage boils in my blood.”

“Olivia, the taste of your juices still tingles on my fucking mouth. I fall asleep every night remembering your moans in my ear. You avoid me all week after that, and the next time I see you, some other guy is touching you? Fuck yes, I’m jealous.”

“It hits me that I’ve been lost in this daydream for some time. When my gaze searches out Olivia again, she’s not where she was. My eyes bounce around the room until I finally find her—talking to some guy.
My ab muscles tighten. An acidic feeling rolls through my chest, rising up my throat and filling my mouth with a bitter taste. That fucker’s standing way too close to her, using the loud music as an excuse to lean close to her ear.”

‼️‼️‼️GREAT S3X SCENES…
The hero loves to touch the heroine’s body, he loves to make her more satisfied, when it comes with s3x the hero is just amazing with her…

I didn’t know if both of them are clean because they always use protection…

“Her smell in my nose and the feeling of her body against mine turns into a mellower, contented kind of bliss. I wrap my arm around her waist, lightly. The feeling of holding her, cradling her, makes my heart flutter. My chest hums with satisfaction.”

“She knows I’ve wanted her. I sure as fuck didn’t make that ambiguous. But there’s no way she knows I’ve wanted her, still want her, so bad that I haven’t as much as thought about another woman for over four fucking months”

“This pussy is so perfect. It’s a fucking work of art.”

‼️‼️‼️It has unnecessary childish drama but only few scenes… Not so much.

‼️‼️‼️THE CHEMISTRY IS FREAKIN ROMANTIC AND AMAZING 🫶🏽🫶🏽🫶🏽🫶🏽

You can feel it immediately!!!!

‼️‼️‼️They did talked about the past but only from the heroine tho. The hero didn’t talked about his past relationship and he never have a serious relationship before.

‼️‼️‼️IT HAS SEPARATION but only for two days i think and they are back on board. And the way the hero apologizes is so freakin romantic and the effort is soooo sweet 🥹🥹🥹❤️❤️❤️

I LOVE THE LAST SCENES IN THE BOOK 🫶🏽

‼️‼️‼️HAPPY ENDING….

They’re not engaged tho in this book. But the bonus book have them engaged and bought a house together…

“I don’t know how things could possibly get better than this. But knowing that I’ve got a lifetime with Olivia ahead of me, I’m pretty sure I’m going to find out.”

⚡️⚡️⚡️THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR READING MY REVIEW. Even if you hate my review i still say thank you so much cause you spend your time reading this one👻 I’m not a professional reviewer or professional reader. I’m just someone who likes to read novels that is safe and no cheating whatsoever. And many more that i like lol😆 I DID NOT GET PAID TO DO THIS. This is just basically me writing my review based on my personal opinion about the book if it’s safe or what I will write it all down just the way i like it 😏 I know my review can be very straightforward with the way i write it down all of it and not a professional writing because again I’m not professional reviewer anyway. And whatever negativity you might think of what i write or what my thoughts are on my review about a book, me and you are not the same person. I have my own types of book and you have your own. You have your own thoughts and same with me. You can’t control what I should write on my review and neither should I. I WILL NOT TOLERATE NEGATIVE COMMENT AND I WON’T EVER REPLIED TO IT. If you still don’t like what i write and my disclaimer here, IT’S A YOU PROBLEM. NOT MINE😙 HAVE A GREAT DAY❤️❤️❤️

Types of book that I’m looking for: SAFE, safe all the way from the beginning till the end🥵 No cheating, no unnecessary childish drama. Not too much OW DRAMA cause they are loud and annoying lol. NO to still having feelings about a ex especially wants go get back together tf no. NO to friends with benefits and still seeing other people type of sh*t. NO to hero or heroine who said i love you and have been obsessed but still likes to fvck around yeah big NO to that sh*t. NOOO to still married or still in a relationship with someone else while liking the main character, yeah they have to be single since the beginning. NOOO to a long separation and have someone else they have s3x with during the separation. NOO to too many times of separation and breaking up sh*t. NOO to toxic narcissistic characters.
I preferred the characters are loyal to the core, over the top possessive heroes since the beginning and never stops, main characters have unique jobs or talents, the hero adores and obsessed with the heroine so much, the hero fell harder for the heroine and don’t want let her go and fight for her. And most importantly EPILOGUE AND ESPECIALLY THE DECADES LATER SCENE…. HAPPY ENDING IS A MUST. Chemistry is a must too 🙏🏼

I've said it before, and I'll say it again, I'm a third-act breakup kind of girl. I'm sorry, but without that little razzle dazzle at the end of a book things feel like they just slowly fizzle out and then it's over. It leaves me with the sense that not enough happened, and that was the case with this story as well. I enjoyed the characters and their story but the mix of a slow beginning, with an ending that felt lackluster (to me) had me ending the book with a mere "meh" type of mood.

Don't get me wrong, I enjoyed this one for the most part and I'm interested in reading more by this author, which I've already started to do by going back to an older series of hers. So I still count this a win.

Only giving it 3 ⭐️ because of Tuck! That man was too good!! He always supported her, believed in her, took care of her when she was sick, wasn’t afraid to love her out loud AND he created star constellations for her!!! He loved her and she wanted nothing to do why him until she put aside her idiocy of comparing him to her ex. I hated her stupid reasoning when she told him she needed space. she’s an actress and has acted infront of hundreds of people before but felt embarrassed by what he did when he fought her ex to defend her honor!?? GROW TF UP. Tuck carried🫶

I wasn’t gonna write a review here but I had to. How easy would it have been to do some research on college hockey.

From NCAA:
Fighting. Fighting is penalized with a five-minute major and a game disqualification, meaning that the offending player is out of that game and the next game

How was this the focus of two entire chapters when this isn’t even allowed? It wasn’t like it added to the book.

Some of my online groups are speculating that these books are not being written naturally. While I am not sure about this, I am confident that the editing process is a hot mess express.

Another quick and easy ‘airplane’ book. I preferred book one in the series, but this was still fun to read and what I was looking for right now. I do wish the books actually delved into the topics or events they brought up a bit more (things like the financial differences and related insecurities, past relationships, etc.), but I’m enjoying the series enough to keep going for now.

4 ⭐

It took me a while to get started with this sequel because Olivia and Tuck didn't really intrigue me in the previous novel. The dynamic is pretty straight forward (he is the golden retriever sunshine, she is the black cat grump) and I am tired of the "xyz guy hurt me in the past so I cannot possible trust any men similar to him in the future" trope. All that being said, this book served as a good palate cleanser and I loved Tuck and Olivia once they got over their bickering phase.

I’m so sad i thought for sure id love this book as much as the first one :( (I still definitely liked the book tho) i was loving it in the beginning: the banter was so funny & they were being so cute, tuck did the absolute cutest things for her!!! then towards the middle/end i was getting a little annoyed with olivia. like girl this man is literally obsessed with you and you’re acting like this😭 so sad I didn’t love this as much as i expected to but I will say Tuck is actually amazing and I love him so much. the way he was obsessed with Olivia was everything 🤭 and at least i got to see my babies summer & Hudson again🥹

This is book 2 in the series and it is very cute. Rick and Olivia start off as frenemies but they kinda get stuck together in many situations. They end up realizing that they have some things in common and actually like each other’s company. They amazing chemistry too. I really enjoyed reading it.

I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.

- College
- Hockey player
- Reformed playboy
- Forced proximity (forced by H)
- H celibate since first meeting h (4 months)

Usually don’t like college or reformed playboy, but with this it wasn’t terrible. Hero
was so sweet when she panicked and asked for space. He gave it to her, but sent her cute notes while she was in school, reminding her of how much he loves her. That space only lasted 2-3 days.

Safety:
- reformed playboy (never seen in this book, just talked about. No former hookups shows up)
- - In previous book he follows a girl out after sleeping with her, but that was before he met heroine
- Hero Hasn’t been with anyone since first time meeting fmc, he haven’t been interested in anyone else and only dream about her. He has plenty opportunities, but nobody spikes his interest other than fmc.
- Heroine ex is also an hockey player who cheated on her. Hero and ex have a game together where they end up fighting.
- No info at all about h dating life except with ex, so nothing if she usually had a hookup
No talk with his time with other women, and he said multiple times that with her everything was better and more perfect that ever before.
Also no name calling of other, no use of “pick bunnies” or something

She’s afraid of commitment after ex bf cheated and he also was a hockey player. The should have communicated more about her fear. Tuck was so supported and took everything in her speed, because he was so determined that she was it for him, that he would do anything for her. But they could have communicated better so she didn’t have to push him away.

Womp womp, didn't do it for me.

At first I thought it was pretty alright. The obsessed university hockey player chasing after the reluctant girl of his dreams does it for me. The tutoring forced proximity was good. The scene where she picks up the phone "yes, daddy" to him and he's like "I need a minute to recover" was great.

But the writing just kind of falls apart toward the end. There's no real conflict I don't think, though there are good moments.

The part that got this to a 2 star from a possible 3 star for me was when she wears his jersey and he says several times that it was hot to see her wear his number on "her chest". Have you ever seen a hockey jersey?? The numbers are on the back smh 🤦‍♀️

** Omg I am back a week later to add - FOOTBALL. A football jersey has numbers on the chest. Still not ok in my books but alright I see what happened here.

Finally, I don't want to hear the tip of a penis described as a "pink mushroom head" ever again.

I have never disliked a FMC more in my life than I did Olivia. I did like the MMC Tuck up until about 200 pages in but then I started to just cringe at his inner dialogue. I really just pushed through the rest of this book cause I was nearly finished with it anyway. Overall, this book was just not good, there were more plot holes than I can count, and we didn’t even get to see any proper friendship moments (beyond what was convenient for the romance), family dynamics or the characters real lives outside of the romance plot.

Who doesn't love an enemies-to-lovers romance story? Chasing the Puck had me hooked from the first line—if you know, you know! Tuck is such a lovable character that he instantly captured my attention. His care and respect for Olivia was beautiful to read, and I loved the slow burn of their relationship as Olivia healed from her past heartbreak. Their opposites-attract dynamic, with a grump and sunshine, culminated in a beautiful relationship. And I mean the spice between these two, wowzah! The side characters were equally charming and added depth to the story, making the world Lyssa Lemire created feel rich and interesting.

This is the first book by Lyssa Lemire that I've had the pleasure of reading, and it certainly won't be the last. I believe the first book in the Sin Bin Stories series focuses on side characters from this book, and it has definitely made its way onto my TBR list. And with the third book on the horizon, my anticipation is only growing. Lemire has a knack for crafting engaging, heartfelt stories that stay with you long after you turn the last page. I thoroughly enjoyed Chasing the Puck and will definitely continue my love affair with this series.

god, my cheeks hurt from smiling so much!! this book was so absurdly sweet, my heart almost exploded so many times i lost count🥹

I love Tuck and Olivia so much, these two were so cute together. the thing I loved most about Tuck was him being unshamelessly a huge swiftie, screaming Taylor songs in the car with Olivia and proudly admitting his love for her songs and romcoms. which is quite funny since these kinds of guys barely exist irl😭 the way he took care of her while she was sick was ridiculously adorable (and the way Tuck didn't disagree with delirious Olivia, so he basically sold her any story she wanted about where he got the soup recipe and shit like that, I BURSTED OUT LAUGHING😭). and while she was sleeping he read Emma by Jane Austen just to get closer to her🥹🥹

though I wished we had a little more depth in the family story line (like we barely know anything besides her dad, and he was supposed to be from some rich family? where are they?😭) and also the theater thing (um basically all we found out is that she played in Macbeth, that's... kinda... it. meh)

such a fun little book, I can't wait to read other books written by Lyssa!!!!

Reformed fuckboy turned obsessive one girl man with golden retriever energy?! YES PLEASE! I won’t lie Olivia straight up bothered me at first. She was a little too harsh to Tuck but whatever cause it works out in the end
